A Drive-By (Picture Poem)
Leaves reaching to high five the sky,
Glares from the sun, waving to drivers, whispering hi.
A pavement groans, underneath tires and pebbles,
The dance grass makes when the wind lifts its spirits.
Clouds in a rush, bustling past each other energetically,
A blue sky hides behind cotton billows.
These are where birds chirp greetings.
This is how a beautiful morning starts.
Reminded by nature of a life worth living.
This is why I live in the countryside.
