Jack ran as fast as he could. Dogs were chasing him! If only he could find an escape route...All he saw was trees everywhere! He didn't even know how to climb yet! The dogs were still chasing him. He was only a 3 month old kitten, he was to young to die! The dogs didn't know how old and young he was, of course.

Jack saw a gorge with water at the bottom of it. He couldn't stop himself! He fell off the gorge into the water. He didn't know what the dogs were doing. He struggled to keep his head out of the water. He was going to drown! He began to panic and started to sink. He couldn't see where he was going! He knew it was the end, either he it himself on a rock or drowned. The water got faster and faster. it felt like he was hitting little hills. but each drop got longer and longer. the water held him flat.

Then a huge current took Jack in and he felt himself falling endlessly. The water hurt his fur. He hit the bottom of the water that led to a big space of a pond. He stayed underwater motionless until he reached the shore.

"Well, what do we have here? A kittypet?" a strange cat said. Jack struggled to put his head up. He was gasping for air.

"We should kill em'?" the other cat said. The words hit Jack. These were the warriors cats! He knew it was the end...

"Look it, he's a kitten! the Warrior Code says to never hurt a kit."

Jack was confused. They were not gonna hurt him??? He got up. "Your the warriors cats? Ahh! You.. They eat bones... Don't kill me and eat me! Please.."

The cats looked at each other. "We don't eat...'Bones??' Your a kittypet, kid. Go back to your Twolegs!" One of the cats said.

"You mean my housefolk? I'm lost...I kinda fell of a... a cliff. And I randomly ended up here?" Jack said.

"Let's get him out!" Said a jet black Tom.

A light grey She-cat said, "No. We can test his skills as an apprentice. I am glad to have a new warrior in training."

Jack shook his head. "I'm gonna be trained to be a monster? No way! I don't want to eat bones.. Or even cats of my own kind!"

The light grey She-cat, who happens to be their leader, said, "Those rumors are fake. We are just Clan cats. Ah, kittypets pass down rumors of," She got head to head with Jack ,"Us being bad and evil."

Jack nodded his head. "Perfect," Said the light grey She-cat.

"Wait! I didn't get your name. I'm Jack."

"I'm Clearstar. I will be your mentor. And, don't forget that I'm also the Clan leader! This is OceanClan! I hope you train well." And with that, she walked away.
