It started to pour outside one day surprising everyone. The weather was too good to be true, considering it was Fall, obviously no one would have their umbrella with them, which resulted in me arriving at my dorm completely soaked. Glen looked up from her laptop and started to laugh, I really must have been a sight to see with my clothes completely wet, makeup smeared around my face like a panda’s. Before she could take a picture for her memory book I quickly grabbed my towel and ran to the showers to take care of this mess. When I arrived back it was like I was a completely changed person. I got into something more comfortable and sat down on our carpet, that's when she tackled me.
“So, we need a cat.”
“Glen…” I looked at her with suspicious eyes, already having a hunch this conversation will be a long one.
“Just hear me out, okay?”
I already opened my mouth when I heard some rustling coming from our closet. She stopped talking, we both just stared at each other without saying anything. I suddenly got up, but she was quicker this time. She literally jumped on me, keeping me in one place with her skinny body, while I did my best to get her off.
“Listen, she was just lonely!” she said in a whiny tone “What would have you done?”
“Oh my God you idiotic woman, you really bought a cat to the dorm?”
“She left me no choice!”
“What do you even mean by that?!”
“Don't make sound like the bad person here.” she pouted, only centimeters away from my face.
“Of course you're the bad person here, who else?” I was baffled at her “Pets are prohibited here, you know that well.”
“Okay but, what if they don't know?” I looked at her skeptically “No, really. The gatekeeper doesn't have to know.”
“How did you even snuck her in?”
She opened her mouth to answer when we heard a faint meowl coming from the closet. With a heavy sigh I kicked her off from me and with quick steps I walked to our closet. I opened it up carelessly, almost hitting myself in the face, when I saw a bluish black colored small ball of fluff on the floor. She was laying on a towel looking at us with the most innocent yellow eyes I have ever seen, playing with my heart strings. Glen was cooing next to me, hugging my hand, while almost dying out of adorableness. She was lowly purring, I had to do my best not to crawl next to her and pet her tummy and behind the ears.
“We have a child now.” Glen was seriously thinking about keeping her, she even bought her different types of food, bowls and cat litter.
“Do we have the money and the patience for this?”
“Definitely, of course we do.” the cat meowed again, getting up from her place to rub against my leg. She tried so hard that she fell on her ass.
“Okay, we keeping her. If somebody asks somehow she just came in.”
“Messed around with our lock.”
“Got herself all these things.”
“We're doomed.”
“Yup.” we looked at her for a second then I continued “Okay, time to give our child a name.”
I wanted to do some art, since it was my free afternoon, but giving a name to our newborn child was more important. We were laying in different positions on my bed while searching up the perfect names, meanwhile the cat was laying on our rug. I was talking with Muti and Hoseok at the same time about some stupid things, when suddenly Hobi left me a message that he'll come tomorrow to get me. I was confused as of where is he coming, but he made it clear that yes, my nightmare just became reality, he is coming to our dorm. I was having an emotional breakdown, already seeing in my head how all the girls will oogle at him and probably even try to get his attention. Glen tried to calm me down, even bought to me our cat, that still had no name, to which she already started to purr. I petted her while telling Glen that we needed to get her to the veterinary so we know for sure what's going on, maybe get a few vaccines even operation if we had to.
I couldn't concentrate on my lectures the next day knowing that I would meet that day Hoseok, once again. You'd think that after our third date I would already get used to it, but we still didn't know each other that well. We were still half strangers, even if we talked day and night, and met up once a week at least for a date and randomly around the campus. It would be too perfect to be true to actually start and date him. I wasn't sure I was ready for that step, even if we were doing this for more than a month now.
He left me another alarming message, saying that I had to wear something comfortable enough, just like to our trainings. I groaned loudly, I really had a bad feeling about this, but either way wore some of my most comfortable attire and waited impatiently on my bed for his call while playing with Donatella Versace, our cat. When I heard loud knocking on the door I had a heart attack. Versace hid behind our desk, watching silently while I opened the door, to see Hoseok in a sporty outfit. My stomach made several flips seeing him in sweatpants, some expensive looking shoes, a jacket big enough to room both of us, and a dimpled smile.
“H-hey?” it was more of a question, rather than a greeting. He chuckled at me pulling his sport bag closer to his body.
“Nice seeing you once again.” he said happily “Ready to go?”
“I'm literally terrified of what you planned.” I said closing the door behind myself while putting a scarf around my neck.
“I would too, but don't worry. Have I ever disappointed you?”
“Not yet.” I looked at him suspiciously while walking to the stairs.
“Can I hold your hand now, or would it be too awkward?”
I had to stop and look at him in surprise. My face became quickly hot, not going to lie, I imagined his slender fingers slowly touching mine, only to intertwine our fingers and walk like that but… I never knew he actually thought about it too.
When he saw my expression he quickly tried to change the topic with the same light hearted voice we talked before, but I stopped him.
“No it's just-” I licked my lips trying to find the right words “I guess what I mean to say is that I'm shy?”
“Why?”
We just passed the main area of our dorm, only a few people were out but the ones that were looked him up and down then checked me out as well. This felt uncomfortable, making me burst out in front of him as soon as we got out of the building.
“Hoseok what do you want from me? Really.” I looked up at him with concern “Like seriously.”
“I want to get to know you.” he replied simply.
“No, that couldn't be it. Everyone looks weird at me for even hanging out with a guy like you.”
“How's a guy like me?” he asked putting his hands in the pockets of his jacket, patiently waiting for an answer.
“Cool. Talented and handsome.” I said completely embarrassed by saying these things out loud.
“You're all of those things. And more.” he smiled showing his dimples once again.
“Lies.” I was pouting at this point, not even believing his words.
“You're something else.”
He laughed at my antics, simply grabbing my hand in his, like it was the most nonchalant thing to do. My heart was beating too fast, not to mention the flips my stomach made, his sweetness melted my heart. His hand was really huge, but slim and elegant, and the fact that he was slowly caressing my skin with his thumb, made me even more shy.
“Hoseok you can't do this.” I mumbled looking down at my feet, avoiding eye contact at all costs.
“Why not?~ It's just hand holding, what will you do when we do more?” my eyes went wide while I looked at him.
“What do you mean?” I asked my mouth gaping at his shameless words.
“Our date of course. What were you thinking? Naughty girl~” he chuckled winking at me “Oh, we are here.”
We walked in a bigger building, looking all modern with bunch of corridors in every direction. My hand was still sweaty and cold because of our sudden contact but my heart was now pounding hard because of the unexpected. We were walking closer to a room but before we went inside he stopped and looked at me.
“Did you bring a towel?”
“Towel? Why would I bring a towel to a date?” he started to smile big, I knew something was up.
“Don't worry I bought one just in case you didn't.”
He had to now drag me inside and my worst fear became reality. It was indeed a dance class. There were bunch of couples all around us, which made me even more uncomfortable to the point where I was awkwardly standing at the back, Hoseok next to me humming a tune, happily looking around until he looked at me. He came closer and pinched my cheeks.
“You're not angry at me, right? Come oooon, Jooo.” he was acting cute, pouting, poking my sides and my cheeks making me laugh in the end “There it is. The smile I wanted hahah.”
“I hate you. What kind of class is this?”
“I think it's better to just watch, you don't know the dances, do you?” I was sulking so he caressed my back, making goosebumps go up until my neck.
I kept silent until our class started. The teacher told us we will stretch then get right into it, so while I tried my best to warm up my muscles I checked out how Hoseok was doing. My mouth almost dropped when I saw how easily he could move around, figures, but still, the fact that he was so calm had a positive effect on me too, unless the actual class started. Another teacher came, so now a woman and a man showed us what moves should we try and copy, but I was unable to. There were so many body rolls and sensual moves between them I could feel the tension in the air. I took a glance at Hoseok and to my surprise he was already looking at me. I pursed my lips, but when I saw everyone get into position I slowly turned around to face him.
“It's okay, calm down.” he whispered softly, taking my hands in his, body coming closer to mine “I will guide you.”
“How many times did you do bachata?” I asked bewildered by how easily he put his thigh between my legs, like it was the most natural thing to do on a Thursday night.
“Not once.” he replied while leaning closer.
“Why the hell would you chose this?” I asked in a small voice, but before he could answer the music started.
I was getting tired fast, because of the moves but mostly emotionally. I had to do my best not to look up at him while moving together to the rhythm, but he was right. Even though he never danced to this he could still learn all the moves the fastest, moving easily to the song, getting into it, while I just felt terribly awkward at first. Over time, even though it felt like we were just grinding at each other, it was easier since he was guiding me so effortlessly my heart started to feel at ease. Two hours were over faster than I thought, but at the end of the class I felt extremely tired and fucking turned on. His legs were muscular and long, body lean, not to mention his perfume that made me almost lose it at the end.
I awkwardly grabbed my bag, putting on my jacket, when Hoseok hugged me from behind. He rested his chin on my shoulder, leaving me baffled once again at his antics.
“Uhm…” I whispered not really knowing what to say in this situation.
“Did you have fun today?” he asked me whispering in my ear. The chills were stronger, but I still pretended I was unaffected.
“Yes, thanks Hoseok.”
“Hobi. Can't have you call me like my father.” he said laughing at me, automatically grabbing my hand while we walked away.
“Okay whatever suits your taste.”
After grinding on his thigh I was literally unaffected by his hand in mine, it felt just right. He was talking about how much he enjoyed seeing me calm down and having to dance with me, so I was blushing profusely because of this. Of course he noticed how tense I was, our bodies were too close to each other. When we were coming closer to my dorm I could feel my need getting stronger, I wanted him to kiss me so bad, but at the same time I just knew he wouldn't. He was the biggest gentleman I knew, there was no way he would kiss me, and I was right. We stopped in front of my dorm, he looked at me grinning then hugged me close.
“Thanks.” he chuckled next to my ear.
“For?”
“Opening up for me.”
I swallowed the lump in my throat, he really left me speechless. When he let go of me I just stared at his stunning features, drinking in how handsome he was, and how those lips looked so plump and soft. I never noticed he had such a cute mole on his upper lip, but right now I was ready to just feel it on my own lips.
“You need to stop staring at people Jo.” he said in a playful tone. Normally I would have shied away from the situation, but this time I felt powerful.
“I stare only at you.” he looked taken aback, eyes widening the slightest. I checked, his ears were definitely red when he left.
