Sleep was far away from the doors of Malhotra's eyes, thus he decided to finally call her keeping all his ego at side. He dialled her number and she answered on the second ring only.

Manik : "Seems like you were waiting for my call only, so impatient!!"..He commented as soon as she answered the call and his statement made her roll her eyes.

Nandini : "Can't I expect someone's else call? Why you give so much importance to yourself?"..She answered in her nonchalant tone but as soon as she mentioned someone else his eyes turned to the darkest shade.

Manik : "You better do something about your sense of humor Mrs. M because I really don't appreciate your words.."..He warned her and she laughed at him which instantly calmed his inner demons.

Nandini : "Well I don't even want you to appreciate."..She mocked and took a small yawn which made him smile as he looked at the clock it showed 3 a.m ..

Manik : "Mrs. M! You aren't sleepy.."..He asked with a low tone which made Nandini smile a bit.

Nandini : "Is that a question or a statement Mr. M?".. she asked being playful but in response he exhaled a deep warm breath.

Manik : "7 hours, 37 minutes, 46 seconds!".. he muttered and she looked confused.

Nandini : "Huh?"..She asked being totally clueless about his statement.

Manik : "It's been 7 hours, 37 minutes and now 52 seconds  you called me Mr. M, you know I was dying over here to listen that.."..His confession once again caught her off guard and she looked lost in deep thoughts.

Nandini : "Sleep Mr. M, put the phone down, if am not wrong you have a very important conference tomorrow which has been rescheduled so sleep. Good night!".. she changed the topic and he chuckled.

Manik : "See, we can really have a normal conversation like normal couples.. "..He murmured but this snatched smile from her face.

Nandini : "We aren't couples Mr. M. Bye good night see you tomorrow. "..She answered curtly and before even listening anything further she disconnected the call.

Manik : "You shouldn't have done this Mrs. M.."..He glared at phone while fuming in anger.

A new morning spread gleam all over in the Mumbai city unlike the last night this day is filled with only gleam and bliss as if the whole universe is celebrating the victory of light over darkness, but there is still one who is lost in the world of darkness and has no hope left to come out of that arena.

After making herself appealing enough to stand in front of her parents Nandini stepped out of her room and started walking downstairs. But as soon as she stepped on the last stair, she met the biggest shock nearing her.

Nandini : "What you doing over here?".She asked as the figure neared her but instead of getting answer she's rewarded by a sudden tight hug.

"I came to see you!!"...The person answered in his sharp manly voice. And as the one break the hug Nandini is fuming in anger.

Nandini : "What's cooking in your filthy head now Mr. M ?"..She asked in her frustration filled tone and he can see how unpleasant she is to find him there.

Manik : "Come on Mrs. M can't I come to see my one and only wife?"..His over sweet tone is doing nothing but making her nauseated.

Nandini : "Will you stop acting like a caring husband which surely you are not.."..She muttered while gritting her teeth and he is giving her his signature smirk.

Manik : "Last time I checked I was your husband.."..He reminded her in his nonchalant tone and she give him her deadly glare..

Nandini : "Stop being...."..She was about to curse but abruptly stopped as she found her parents coming towards them. Manik noticed the change in her behavior and this made him smirk as he very well knew that she won't misbehave in front of her parents.

Manik : "We better behave otherwise your parents will be hurt to witness the complications in our relationship.."..He whispered in her ears and she's bound to give a smile to him as her parents are nearing and gazing at duo only.

Nandini : "I won't leave you!"..She murmured underneath her breathe while giving smile to her parents , and Manik suddenly held her hand on this statement eying her.

Manik : "I don't even want you to leave me ..".. his sudden approach caught her off guard, she looked at him with a totally different emotion in her eyes and she can see something trustworthy in his devilish eyes.

Shabd : "Manik! This early? Anything special?"..he asked after coming towards them and this made them break the soul searing eye lock.

Manik : "Something very special.."..he answered while eyeing her, she suddenly moved her face towards him and looked at him with pure distrust whereas her parents seems to be very pleasant by his words.

Naina : "I think we should leave from here, they need space.."..she whispered in Shabd's ear and he nodded, they both silently moved out of the scene while Manik and Nandini are totally oblivious of their surrounding.

Manik moved closer to her while she is lost in his eyes, her heart wants to believe on the honesty of their eyes but her mind is asking her to not fall in his trap..

Manik : "What did you said? We aren't a couple?"..he asked after yanking her closer and this one statement brought back the last night conversation.

Nandini : "oh! So you are here to prove your point. "..she snapped back and this made him smirk.

Manik : "You know what you are the only one who has guts to stand in front of me and look straight in my eyes with anger."..there is a never ending smile on his lips but she is confused Whether it's fake or real.

Nandini : "You know what you're the horrible thing ever happened to me.."....she spit fire on his face but he looked amazed by her ..She turned around to leave from there but he held her hand and her back collided with his back, and he inhale the fragrance of her tempting hair which is his first obsession.

Manik : "And you are the best thing ever happened to me.." ..his sudden confession caught her off guard, tears unknowingly welled up in her eyes while he is totally oblivious of her emotions which built inside her soul only due to his words.

(Background Music)

He moved more closer to her totally ignoring the fact that they both are standing in the middle of living room of her mansion and anyone can caught them in this state but what matters to him is right now having her in his arms as the last night was the biggest night of his life without her and to subside that longingness he needs her back in his embrace..

He slowly turned around to look straight in her eyes but when he turned around he found her eyes welled up and to his surprise her tears act as acid on his heart..

Main phir bhi tumko chahunga

He wiped her tears with the back of his palm and she is totally lost in the aura he has created around her..

That stare gives her an indication like she means something to him, perhaps! Something very especial or perhaps! Something more than special.

Nandini : "Manik!"..a slow yet so powerful tone escaped her mouth and he is stunned by the intensity and passion in her voice when she called him.

Manik : "Ek ajeeb si kashish Hai tumhari ankhon mei Jo mujhe tumse alag nhi hone deti, ek ajeeb sa Nasha Hai tumhari awaaj mei jiski jarurat si hone lagi.."..he thought in his mind while looking at her and she instantly took off her eyes from him, may be she is scared that he may look through her..

Nandini : "You came to see me or to take me with you?"..all the vulnerability has vanished from her eyes, and again she is back to her old self. He looked stunned by her this sudden change but he didn't complained although he was really enjoying the way her eyes were trying to communicate with him.

Manik : "Both! So shall we?"..he offered his hand to her and she looked all around because she don't wanted to leave without informing her parents.

Nandini : "I'll be back.. "..she told him sternly and tried to leave but he held her hand.

Manik : "You aren't going anywhere but coming with me.."..his voice is sharpen than knife and his eyes boring on her in a deadly stare but as usual she don't give two hoots to his scary looks.

Nandini : "Firstly, I wasn't asking and secondly I already told you million times that your modus operandi isn't going to work around me."..her straight forward answer once again blow off his bubble of controlling her and before he could say anything more she took her hand away from him and left.

Manik : "God! Why can't she listens to me once?. Why she has to defy me all the time?"..and she manages to awake the monster in him..

Malhotra Building:

Manik : "I hope you won't miss me much, I'll try to come back soon.."..he murmured while hugging her from behind as she is standing in the middle of the living area.

Nandini : "I really think what has gotten in you today, you aren't in your usual monster mode.."..she softly said without wriggling in his arms and he took her more tightly in his arms and dropped a wet kiss behind her ear which instantly sent shiver to her whole body..

Manik : "I'll be in monster mode in bed soon"..he said in his husky tone in her ear which instantly made her weak in her knees, she turned around slowly yet so gracefully in his arms that every part of her body touches with him..

Nandini : "I strongly disbelief that.."..she said with a evil smirk on her face and he can see the wickedness coming back in her..

Manik : "You wanna proof?"..he asked with lustful eyes and she can feel the seduction in his body language like he always does to her but she has her own ways to move out.

Nandini : "It's surely not my first with you Mr. M and trust me on this when I say you are anything but good in bed.."..she spitted fire on his face with her normal words and he feels like she knocked him down, he looked at her with wide open eyes while she is smirking evilly.

Nandini : "Have a great day ahead!"..she kissed on his cheek and even before he could realize she moved out of his arms. And walked straight to his room..

Manik is still standing in the middle of the living room totally clueless and stunned with her words, he can't believe that she actually crushed his male ego under her high heels and surprisingly he wasn't able to do anything in this regard.

Manik : "Why I adopted silence?, I could have shut her mouth by fuc**ng her right on this floor but why I didn't said anything? What's wrong with me?, What she is doing to me?"..he said with disbelief in his eyes, he can't believe on his own actions right now and just then he got a call from Arjun.

Manik : "I'll be in Malhotra Enterprise soon.."..he answered the call after Arjun told him something then he disconnected the call and walked straight of his penthouse but still lost in his thoughts.

Meanwhile, Nandini was listening him from hiding behind the pillar nearby, as soon as he took the lift and left from there she came out and there is a devilish smirk on her face which is surely a sign of danger.

She brought her phone out of her jean's pocket and dialed a number.

Nandini : "I wanna meet you.."..she said with something unusual in her eyes, her eyes are filled with burning flames which can set the whole world on fire..

So story is going to take a 360 degree turn, as I have already started showing past events hence from next update there will be some more glimpse of past.
