RYU SI OH'S POV:
I was standing near the corner of the room, taking a sip of red wine from time to time, trying my best to keep my distance from her. I noticed someone spiking my drink from behind. Just as I was about to go after him, Nam Soon quickly crossed the distance between us and threw the glass away.
Confused, I signalled Kyle with my eyes to pursue the culprit, while she tried to explain the situation. She changed her words from Si Oh to Sir. Nam Soon, you are driving me crazy. I was unable to control my emotions, feelings I did not know even existed.
For a person like me, who grew up suppressing feelings, having the urge to hold a girl in my arms and never let go was astonishing. I smirked as I used a bit of Russian language to thank her, but to my surprise, she understood what I said.
I was trying to distance myself from her a bit when she took hold of my body and shifted me towards her as there were glass pieces scattered around.
We stayed like this for a few seconds, not trying to acknowledge the situation, just being there with each other. The music started and people started to dance. Before I could wrap my mind around it, she took my hand and dragged me to the dance floor.
"If you truly consider me as your girl, then you would not mind dancing with me. Right, Si Oh?" she whispered after tiptoeing to reach my ears. Her breath was warm, and I shivered when it went inside my ears. You are going to be the death of me, Nam Soon.

GANG NAM SOON'S POV:
Si Oh looked at me with amazement as I dragged him to the middle of the dance floor. His wide eyes confused me. Was he saving the first dance for someone else? Was he not comfortable with me? Curiosity got the best of me and I asked him about it.
In response, he took a step forward, placed his cold hands on my waist, and pulled me towards him. I put one hand on his shoulder and another melted away in his hand.
We started dancing and I was taken aback by how smoothly our bodies swayed with the music. His touch feels refreshing and new, like something I have been missing in my life. Si Oh, you are the one I would not mind being addicted to.
As the music slowed down, I let go of his hand to place my hands behind his neck as he placed his on my waist. It felt like we were the only people there, dancing in the dark hall with some lights shining around. It felt like we were dancing under the moonlight, and I wished this night would never end.

It was hard for Nam Soon to stare into his beautiful dark eyes given that he was taller than her. He must have noticed this as he gently took her hands in his, guiding her to the balcony where they could have more space.
She looked up at him as he stepped closer. With a tender touch, he placed her feet delicately on top of his own. She was startled by his move, and the smile on his face melted her worries away. With her feet resting on his, she could feel every step he took, every shift in his balance.
It was intimate in a way she had only seen before in K-dramas. Their bodies were close but not too close, connected through the simple yet alluring act of dancing. The chilly wind and the warmth between them were the best way to spend this beautiful evening together.
"Nam Soon. I'm sorry. I was not trying to ignore you. I was just..." he said, trying to explain his cold behaviour earlier.
"I am letting it pass this time. Next time, I won't go easy on you, Si Oh," she replied, her expression serious enough to make him gulp.
"Let's go now. They will be looking for us," she ordered and he followed.
She made her way back to the hall with Si Oh right beside her when she got a text from Hee Sik and decided to check it. She was so engrossed in the message that she bumped into an old lady. She fell, and Nam Soon helped her get up.
"Are you okay?" Nam Soon asked, but the lady went away without answering. She went back to checking her phone.
The text read, "Nam Soon. Please laugh when you see this text to avoid any suspicions." She knew this must be serious, so she started giggling as if she had just seen a funny meme, and then read further.
"We were checking the CCTV of the locations, and it seems like the woman from the orphanage sent a man to put something in people's drink. He is wearing a red suit. We have not seen him for half an hour. Also, there is an elderly lady who is tailing you. I will report again. Be careful."
Her eyes widened as she started to look around for her. She noticed that her bracelet was missing. Her heart beat raced as she thought about the consequence of the bracelet getting into the hands of the wrong people.
She started running to the exit of the hall but no one could be seen. She felt a tap on her shoulder and turned around to see Si Oh standing there with her bracelet in his hands.
"I saw him taking it when we were walking back to the hall. I was able to get this back from him, but I was not able to catch him," he replied.
"Thank you, but what do you mean him? It was an old lady," she replied, worried.
"He was dressed up as an old lady. He went to the men's washroom, and I followed him to get this back," he explained.
"I saw your bodyguard running after the man who spiked your drink. Did he manage to catch him?" she asked.
"Yes," he answered.
"Where is he?" she questioned.
Si Oh led her to the basement of the Heritage Club, where Kyle kept him tied up to Si Oh's car. His face was covered with a sack to make sure, he did not use his senses to escape. She stepped forward to take the sack off him when he broke down the rope and started running towards the exit.
Nam Soon and Si Oh took one glance at each other before chasing him down the basement. Nam Soon's gown was hindering her running, so she tore the lower part of the gown to make it look like a skirt, before sprinting towards him.
The guy ran towards the exit of the club, with Nam Soon and Si Oh tailing him. He disappeared for a moment, and Nam Soon caught him diving in the sea nearby. She jumped into the sea without a second thought as Si Oh took off his coat before jumping after her. The cold water shocked them as they continued their search.
They swam desperately to catch him. After what felt like an eternity but was only ten minutes, Nam Soon finally grabbed him and dragged him back to the shore. Drenched and shivering, they gasped for breath in the chilly night air. Nam Soon held his hands behind him, securing him while Si Oh emerged from the sea, equally breathless.
Si Oh was about to take hold of the guy from Nam Soon when he ran away again.
Nam Soon's breath came in ragged gasps as she sprinted down the narrow alley. She could hear Si Oh's footsteps close behind. The man in the red suit glanced back, eyes wide, the fear evident even through his hideous mask, before disappearing around a corner.
"This way!" Nam Soon shouted, showing him directions and he followed without hesitation, adrenaline fueling his every step.
They burst through the doors of an old building, the familiar yet unwanted scent of dust and decay hitting Si Oh like a wave.
Si Oh lunged, tackling the man to the ground. They rolled, hitting each other at every blind spot they could get. Nam Soon grabbed the man's arm and twisted it behind his back. "Got him!" she said, breathless but glad they caught him at last.
They took him to the boxing ring and used ropes to tie him down. After checking the ropes to make sure he won't escape, they laid down at last, gasping for air.
"Si Oh. Are you okay?" Nam Soon asked.
"I'm alright. Are you fine?" he replied.
"I am. I just need a moment to catch my breath." she said.
"Yeah. You can say that again." he agreed.
They took a few moments to compose themselves before removing the tightly woven mask around his face.
"How did you breathe with this mask on while swimming?" Nam Soon asked, still out of breath.
"That's the magic of the drugs that this man makes," he answered her while looking at Si Oh.
"What do you mean by that? What drugs?" she asked him, exchanging glances between Si Oh and the man.
"Don't change the topic and tell us who you are. What were you doing at the party?" Si Oh asked, his voice cold.
"Why? Are you afraid she will leave you too? Like your parents abandoned you years ago. In this very building," he said, mocking Si Oh.
Si Oh looked around the building, and the feeling that he had been ignoring since he entered the room dawned upon him. The noises started to fill his mind. The agonized voices of the children, the leather whip smashing on the table, the laughter of the grown-ups, and the friendship that saved his life.
His body started to feel heavy, as he tried to forget the memories that he had related to this building, this orphanage, where it all began.
