2 : Thoughts and a Vision

Seer flew down and landed on the sandy ground below, he finally arrived at the Desert Kingdom. His wings stretched from behind before coming in close on Seer's back. For a Blue Steve that has small wings and that can appear and disappear when he likes to, having actual wings attached from is very new.

Other than that, he finally reached the Desert Kingdom. Three reasons why he's here, check up on the new Desert King, the Forest Steves, and Colle.

Its a part of his daily routine at this point, going through each kingdom to see everything and everyone is okay, no problems, conflicts or anything against every kingdom. He still visits back to his home, the World Beyond, to visit his friends and some of the Blue Steves there, and especially the new Blue Leader. The Middle World though, he was sure he would come by to visit soon, but he didn't wanna intrude to their world first.

Maybe he should visit Indigo Steve first and maybe have his permission, wherever that guy went to really. Both never saw each other after he gave- or at least, created- the Indigo crystal to for Seer to becomes the Rainbow Hero.

He walked to the Desert Kingdom, more structures of buildings were built and it felt like home already. Some Desert Steves were walking around to the market place or to the middle of the Kingdom, it felt so alive being there. Even some Chromatics were around the Kingdom, not many but a good amount. Probably for the Academy on the other side of the kingdom, but some were trading with the Deserts as well.

Seer eventually made his way to the pyramid, the middle of the Desert Kingdom, though it wasn't that many Steves around this part. Seer really think much of it though, he needs to visit the Leader of the Desert Kingdom. He walked inside of the sandstone structure, the place hadn't changed except for some new banners with the signature logo of their kingdom was hanged on the sides.

" Rainbow Steve! Good to see you my guy. "

" Good afternoon to you to- " Seer stopped his tracks, his expression changed in a mere second he saw the Desert Leader. It wasn't because he wore a different attire, no it was because what he was holding. " Uh- are you holding a beaker? "

" One of my finest bong, or beaker you say. "

Although this wasn't a surprise to anyone who knew about the Desert Steves, Seer had some more things to learn about them. And one of the things Seer learns now that Desert Leader, or some Desert Steves, smoke. Well, with a beaker or bong?

Seer only shook his head from that, right now wasn't the time for him to think of such questionable things, he was here for his task.

" I- uh nevermind that. But greetings Desert Leader, I've only come by for a visit like always. Just wanna know if everything is going well in the Kingdom. "

" Mmm, no conflicts happening from what I heard today Seer. The Desert Steves are chill with new visitors around here. "

" I can already tell, everyone seems to be enjoying the kingdom because of the new structures you built here. Heard the Orange King might make amends with you about it though. "

" Oh? Well that's certainly news I never heard. " The Desert Leader put his bong on the side desk next to his throne, adjusting his his own poncho and his sitting form. Seer looked back at the Leader, letting out a small "oh?" out from his lips. Barely can be heard by the Leader, considering how high up his throne was from below.

" Well surely if the Orange King does come by here in this Kingdom, or his apprentice, I'd gladly accept the of what agreement he has if it involves with the Desert Steves building some structures of their kinds. " The Desert Leader stood of from his throne and walked down from the stairs on the sides. Seer's eyes followed the King's movements.

The Desert King only stopped by in front of the Hero, both had the same height, it took Seer by surprise. He just realized it now, guess his mind was busy thinking of other stuff rather than other small realizations. Seer's thoughts was quickly thrown away after the Desert King patting his shoulder.

" I'm gonna head out for now, feel free to roam around the Kingdom if you like. If you wanna eat a snack, feel free to come by at my Apprentice's bakery. " The Desert Leader walked to the entrance of his pyramid, he quickly turned around, and walked backwards as he spoke up to Seer once again. " Trust me, his baking skills are way of the charts at this point. Might at least call him the best baker around here. " And with that said, the Leader turned around and walked east.

Seer only stood there for a moment, left a bit confused.

" He really did leave his throne unsupervised... "

Colle sat by on his bed for a while, closing and opening his fists. He felt like needles were piercing through his skin slowly, it was annoying, and a bit painful. His hand also went up his hair, it was also getting longer, a thought of cutting it short again came in. Maybe it doesn't look bad, maybe he just needs a hair tie to fix his hair and all.

His hair was thick, it was hard for him to comb it straight even after soaking it, its just a mess. He sighed, maybe he should try to get his hair a bit longer. Beef used to have long hair- well, medium length, it was braided everyday by Sharp, along with some red poppies to be stuck with his hair.

He didn't know why Beef had to have an undercut hair after it was accidentally sliced off during hard mode training, and it did saddened Sharp that Beef did that, but Colle kind of guessed that it was time for a new haircut at least.

Nonetheless, Colle combed his hair back with his hand and let out a quiet sigh.

He should get up and go outside, its been almost a day, he hasn't came out of his room ever since breakfast. He wondered what's going on outside right now, he's been so quiet, other than coming in many kingdoms to visit, he's been pretty much quiet with some headaches coming in and out from his mind. His arms were itchy too, a burning itch, it wasn't anything serious but it was annoying Colle nonetheless.

Colle's ears perked up as he heard a voices talking outside his own house, although it was faint he can hear a familiar voice talking back to the other. He stood up from his bed and made his way to the nearest window and open his blinds for a bit. He looked out, and his eyes landed on with Seer walking with a Forest Steve.

" Are you sure you don't want to have a break? You can stay for a while and relax you know, maybe have a snack break at the new bakery. "

" Oh I'd love to have a break for once but, first I need to check if every kingdom is doing alright, the Steves and the Kingdom itself. "

" You do that all the time, this is literally the 20th time you're doing this already. " They both stopped, underneath the shade so they can cool off from the heat. That wasn't the reason they did that though, Forest only stopped as he slightly complained about Seer's chore. " You're kinda pushing yourself to do this, you know you can plan this out right? "

Seer only sighed from that. " When I feel like I should arrange my schedule I will, right now I just wanna be sure everything is alright. " Seer's winged moved for a bit, slightly stretching, it was annoying but he has to get along about having actual wings attached behind him. " I appreciate the offer though, but maybe next time. "

" Well you better know when that next time is then. "

Forest Steve only sighed from the response from Seer's response, but shook his head anyways. With that Forest excused himself to get back to the small cottage where the remains of his people lived, and bid goodbye to Seer. Seer did the same, waving his hand as he watched the Steve turned around and leave.

His hand reached behind his hair and ruffled it, his wings puffed up again, slightly as it made the wind cool him off a bit. He wasn't used to the heat, never was, there was still the Blue Steve in him that would prefer to be in cold places like the Winter Village.

He didn't even notice that someone was behind him, so when he heard a familiar lower tone voice, he jumped and almost screamed high pitch.

" Boo. "

" SANCTUM ORGIUM SANCTORUM! "

Just as Seer turned around, he only spotted the Red Collector behind him, a grin was plastered on the Collector's face as he tried not to laugh from the sudden words that Seer blurted out. Seer only let out a shaky breath and clenched his fists, then quickly jokingly punched Colle on the shoulder.

" Don't scare me like that man. "

" Excuse you but you weren't aware with your surroundings, also o w - " Colle rubbed his shoulder where Seer hit him, though he was joking about him getting hurt. Seer only rolled his eyes over, he chuckled slightly from that action.

" Well I didn't expect you to come out of the shadows out of nowhere. "

"  Did you forgot that my house was nearby?"

Colle motioned his hand over to the small sandstone cottage where he was living in, only for the Rainbow Steve to let out a small "Oh" afterwards. He didn't intentionally went by, guessed that his legs were moving to its next destination anyways. " I guessed that its just a fair coincidence that I came by here to chefk on you as well. "

" Ah, " Colle knew that Seer was here to check up on him, only 4 times a week. " Well, I'm here now, and nothing much is going on with me. I was gonna visit the Desert Apprentice's bakery, maybe try out some of his carrot cake. "

" Oh? Is it okay if I come along? The Leader did told me to check out the bakery once. "

" What happened to the "check if every kingdom is doing alright" line minutes ago? Did you threw that idea away just to spend time with me? "

Colle only smirked after saying that, his body leaning forward and his hand behind his back as he stares at Seer for a moment.

" And what if I say yes? "

Seer bend forward as well, he shared a smug face with Colle while crossing his arms. They both ended up laughing at the end, oh how they enjoyed each other's company. " Well, the bakery is this way, not too far ahead and it could double our time before you head out. " Colle pointed to the east before turning around and walk, but Seer's eyes glanced at a certain glow above him.

" Did your professor friend blew up something again? "

" Huh? " Colle looked at Seer confusingly.

Seer raised his hand and pointed over to his head. " Your ahoge is one fire dude. "

" Wh- wait- " Colle lifted his hand over to his ahoge, he felt the warmth of the flame like torch. Confused as ever, " How did that got on fire? "

" Beats me, " Seer shrugged before turning Colle's back on Seer's front so he could face the ahoge. " I'll put it out if you don't mind. " Colle only nodded as Seer took that agreement. With that, Seer carefully pinched the little flame out till it was smoking softly on Seer's closed fingers. That's when Colle's eyes snapped, his eyes quickly glowed white as he blinked.

The sky was purely shaded red, darker than mahogany red. A kingdom was in ruins, the Obsidian Citadel, it was burning down, destroying the last bit of living life in there. Fire was spreading everywhere, all of the soldiers were down.

One figure was standing though, standing in front of the injured captain. They had a cloak on, but was holding the Judge's hammer as it was lit on fire. The figure stopped its track, and slowly turned around-

" COLLE! SNAP OUT OF IT MAN YOU'RE WORRYING ME! "

Colle gasped after that, he blinked a few times as he tries to regain his focus. He was only aware that he was sitting down on something soft, and a hand had run circles on his back, reassuring him it was safe.

" Calm down for a bit, relax you're alright. Just breath Colle. "

He didn't even realize that he was breathing quickly and heavy, but it took him a few moment to process his breathing. In and out, it was slowing down for a bit, and that took time for the red head to be calm again. He quickly looked around his surroundings and noticed he was inside of his own sandstone cottage and was sitting on his bed, Seer was kneeling in front of Colle with a worried look.

Another headache came in, it hurts less this time.

" S-Seer "

" You... alright now? "

" Mhmm. "

Colle clenched his fists slowly, but opened them again. He felt a bit numb, or at least tired. His headache was still there, and the itch on his arms were back. He let a breath out, he doesn't even know what happened. Only one moment he felt something stopped his heart and then, his conscious was back.

" Colle look at me. " The Red Steve looked up slowly at Seer, who made his way beside him on the bed and sat down. He still had that worried look on him, the same expression he has saw on the Rainbow being every time they hung out. ' Why? ' was the only question that Colle has on mind now.

" Are you sure you're alright? "

Colle was silent for a moment before responding again. " What... happened? "

" Well, when I put out the small fire on your ahoge you just stood still for a moment. And, you weren't responding to me whrn I tried to make you snap back, I just got worried but I didn't want to bring a lot of attention so, I brought you here in your cottage and try to wake you up. "

The Red head only let out a sound, his headache only going away slowly. Seer only got worried even more. ' Was it happening now? ' He asked himself in thought, he was getting more worried that it might be that and its happening quick. Seer thought he gave him some tine but, if he keeps it up then, he might be too late.

" Maybe I'm just tired, or hungry, or both. " Colle answered as he looked down on the wooden floor beneath him. " Haven't ate lunch really. "

" Oh, how about I get you something to eat? You still want that carrot cake from Desert Apprentice's bakery right? "

Colle only nodded from that respond before Seer stood back up, he watched him walked over to the front door and turned back to the floor beneath him. Seer only took a glane of the Red head before he exited the cottage, he was getting more worried, whether if what happened was happening now. He's stuck in the decision either to tell Colle the truth or not.

But Colle was still adjusting, still needs time to calm down. Sure it was almost a month- and Seer was planning to give him a month- but it seems like its coming by early.

Seer only walked on the streets as he thought. Maybe tomorrow, he should tell Colle about it, or maybe if it gets worst today, he will.
