BEFORE I START WRITING LET ME JUST SAY THAT WE HAVE REACHED THE LAST CHAPTER OF THE BOOK WOO HOO I WILL BE STARTING ON THE SEQUEL OF THIS PROBABLY TODAY OR TOMORROW DEPENDS ON WHEN IM FREE SO HOWD YOU LIKE THE FIRST BOOK SO FAR IT MAY NOT BE GOOD BUT IM TRYING BUT THE SEQUEL WILL BE MUCH BETTER IT IS GOING TO HAPPEN AT THE GMG SINCE IT WAS POSTPONED IN THIS ONE AND THEN THINGS WILL ONLY GET WORST I WAS WONDERING IF I SHOULD MAKE A THIRD BOOK BUT IT HASNT REALLY INTERESTED ME SO I WILL SEE ANYWAYS WITHOUT FURTHER ADO THE LAST CHAPTER YEAH!!!!

NATSU POV

This is it, this is the last straw. I love Lucy, but she can't go around terrorizing the city.
I start walking towards the church, I could see it in the distance. I start shoving people out the way.

They got mad and started swearing, or telling me to watch it. But I didn't listen my only priority was to get to Lucy.
I finally arrive at the church. I light my fist on fire and burn down the doors. Bystanders started murmuring to one another. Some even fled the scene, afraid something bad might happen to them.

The church was dark, I could barely see a person sitting on the priest chair in the back of the room.

"Lucy" I say

"How many times have I told you, it's not Lucy" she said annoyed "That name is the one those stupid idiots I call parents gave to me"

"Don't talk about them like that!" I yell at her

"Why?!" Lucy yells the question at me

"Even though you have had rough times with them, they cared for you! If they didn't you wouldn't even know them, I doubt you would be here right now!" I yelled at her pissed

"You shouldn't be the one to talk, you don't even know your birth parents" Lucy chuckles

I lit my fist on fire and charged towards Lucy. I was about to punch when she blew me away with one slap. I flew into a nearby wall and coughed. She was strong, and she wasn't even using all her strength.

I got up and dusted the rubble off of me. I started lighting my fists on fire again. I charged and she swatted her hand. I jumped over her hand and lit my foot on fire.

My foot was headed straight for her head but before it made contact she caught it. She grabbed my other foot and twirled me away.

"Fire dragon roar!"I yelled as I twirled in the air

After I landed I waited to see if my attack did any damage. It didn't, she was still sitting the same place she was before.

The only thing that got burned was the edges of the priests chair she was sitting in. Why didn't my attack hit her? Why didn't I do any damage, I was so positive I hit her.

I stood up straight and looked at her. This isn't Lucy, this isn't the Lucy that I and everyone in Fairy Tail fell in love with. This isn't the Lucy that cares for her comrades and her new friends. I want that Lucy back.

I want the sweet Lucy back, not this demon possesing her. I dont care what I have to do, but I will get Lucy back. No matter what I have to do I am going to get her back.

"Bring her back" I say quietly

"You fool! She is never coming back!" she says

"Bring her back!" I yell

"I won't, not that I could anyways. I devoured her, all that is left is her soul!" she yells

"Shut up! It's not true, the Lucy I know would never give up to a weakling like you! She is powerful, more powerful then you! The hell, she's even stronger then me, and you don't ever hear me say that!" I yell "How could you, how could whatever you call yourself, call Lucy weak. Lucy is the strongest person I know. She. . . She. . . She is the person I love! And not you, not anyone is going to take her away from me!"

I set my whole body on fire and charge at her. I look at her eyes, her eyes are dull but deep inside you could see sadness and happiness. You can see the battle between light and dark

LUCY POV

So this is it. . . this is the end of me. All I am is a soul, a soul that can't ever return. I look to my left, then I look to my right. Nothing, complete nothing around me. It's dull, dark, and lonely.

I've always been alone, well until I joined Fairy Tail. But then I got abandoned again, is that just how life is. Once you hold something or someone dear to you, they leave you. That is how the world works now and days.

Everything you hold dear is going to disappear, and there is nothing anyone can do about that. And once it's gone you can never have it back. No matter how much you cry, beg, plead, there is absolutly nothing you can do. Not even a replacement can be dear to you like the first thing.

I just float there in darkness, what's going to happen to me now, now that I'm no more than a wondering soul in a strange land.

I close my eyes and just float there, there isn't anything I can do now but go wherever this path may takes me.

"She is the person I love! And not you, not anyone is going to take her away from me!" I hear a voice yell
This voice, I know this voice. This voice, I love this voice, I love the person behind the voice.

'Natsu' I think to myself

This isn't good of he comes near I'll destroy everything. Just one fire attack or an act of true love and everyone is done for.

I open my mouth to speak but nothing comes out. I try to form words yet it's like something is preventing me. Tears start falling down my face, I start thinking about all the good times I've had at Fairy Tail.

I think about all the friends I've had there. All the acts of love, kindness, and friendliness. That was. . . No this is my home. And I am bit going to let it go away so easily. Not when I have so much to lose.

I start fighting back, I struggle to gain access to my body. The dullness around me starts to light up. I can see a faint image in front of me. I go towards it, not wanting to lose it.

I can see the outside, I can see Natsu there. I don't want to lose him, not anyone, not yet.

"Natsu!" I yell

"Lucy!" he yells back

"I'm here but not for long" I say

"Lucy I'm so glad you're still there, I thought you had given up on me" he said as I could hear him catch his breath from crying

"It's ok I'm here, I need you to do something for me" I say seriously

"Anything!" he yells at me

"I need you to find Kazuko, and I need you to bring her here. And hurry there isn't much time left" I state seriously
I hear Natsu run out the door with incredible speed. I just stay there, I have control of this body. But not for long, and the plan I have planned is going to get rid of the demon. And it will finally make everyone- including I- very happy.

'You can't do this forever you know' the inner demon said

"I might not be able to do this forever but neither will you, you aren't going to take control of me. I will fight until you are destroyed" I said

'Don't be so foolish, you know you are nothing without me. You wouldn't be alive if I weren't here for you. Don't you understand I am the only one who can protect you from those monsters out there' the demon said

The color in my eyes started to fade. I started giving into her words. Was she really the only one who could protect me. Was I in danger to this so called world.

"No, the only monster is you" I say quietly

'What are you talking about you fool!' my inner self yelled

"You weren't the one who was there before, you aren't the one who protected me from all those past troubles before. You were never there!" I shout "Natsu and everyone else was there for me when you weren't! How could I ever trust someone who was never there for me!"

'What about Natsu, when he kicked you off the team. What about your dad who abandoned you! They don't care about you. But Lucy I care about you more then they do just let me protect you!' the demon shouted at me

"Never! Natsu came back for me, my dad came back for me! You, you were never there to begin with, and I will not be controlled by you. You are going to perish and when you do, I won't miss you" I said forcefully

I gathered most of the magic energy I had. I focused my magic energy to. To achieve my goal you had to become one with the mind and body. I focus on my achievement, the more I focus the more I achieve.

'Harder, harder, harder' I thought to myself

I open my eyes and I scream. I am reconnecting my self with my body. The more I reconnect the more the thing taking over comes out. It is extremely painful.

"Lucy!" I hear someone yell

"Do not interfere with this!" I shout

Even though my eyes are completely open, the pain blinds you. I was almost there, I am almost free. Just a bit further, and I can make it.

'Crap!' I thought to myself

I was almost out of magic energy, if I run out then the demon has another chance to take over my body.

"You can do it Luce! You're the strongest person I know, I know that you will not give up on this!" Natsu yells

Tears start endlessly streaming down my now pale skin. Natsu was right I can do this. I focus, I focus on my goal. I let out my loudest screams of pain I can manage.

"You did it!" Natsu yells

When I finally regain my eyesight I see the demon on the floor panting. Sweat covered my body. I pant heavily, I gather enough strength to stand up. I start walking down the steps to Natsu.

"Where is Kazuko" I ask

"She's right here" Natsu says

"Where" I ask looking around

"Lucy she is right next to you, don't you see her" Natsu asked confused

I close my eyes and open them again. When I open them there Kazuko is, right in front of me like she appeared out of thin air. I smile lightly at Natsu and he smiles back at me.

"Natsu I n-n-need you t-t-to kiss k-k-Kazuko" I manage our of breath

"What no, I would never do that. I have you!" I says

"Natsu just do it!" I shout at him
I stumble and Natsu comes rushing towards me. He grips my waist and supports me up.

"Lucy you're as light as a feather!" he exclaims

"I know, Natsu as your comrade I tell you to kiss Kazuko" I order to him
"So that is what you see me as now, your comrade" he asks disappointed

"Natsu now is not the time, I need you to do this for me please" I plead

He slowly let's go of my and walks over to Kazuko. He lifts her chin up and lightly pecks her lips. Kazuko's body starts to light up. A bright yellow light escapes.

Kazuko walks over to me and I lay down flat on my back. Natsu asked what's going on but I didn't have time to tell him. Kazuko puts both hands on my stomach and my whole body lights up.

After she separates from me I get up on my feet. I look at Kazuko and nod then I look over at Natsu.

"Natsu I want you to leave ok" I say

"No why" he says taking a step closer

"Because I don't want you to see me like this" I say as I bow my head
I face forward, I hear his footsteps coming my way. Natsu takes me and turns me so that I am facing him.

"Nats-"

I was cut off by him putting his finger over my mouth.

"You've been talking this whole time, it's my turn now" he states

He drops his finger from my mouth and lifts my chin so my eyes meet his. He stares straight into my eyes. I look at his beautiful onyx eyes.

"If I didn't care for you I wouldn't even be here by your side. You need to know that I-and all of Fairy Tail- will care and protect our family. Don't ever think that you are alone" Natsu says

"Arigato, Natsu" I thank him

Now to get this over with. I look at Natsu one last time, then I face towards the demon. She is passed out on the floor. It must because the separation drained most of its magic energy.
While it's unconscious I might as well kill it now, it's the best and easiest way. I put my hands out to the side and breath in. I close my eyes and concentrate.

"Dragon secret art" I say calmly "Celestrial form"

The air around me started rapidly increasing. I could feel the power surging through my veins. To use this form of magic you need to be extremely calm and focused.

The air started to decrease to normal speed. I looked back at Natsu who had no idea what was going on. I cup my hands in front of me and opened my eyes. Everything was in slow motion, the Celestrial form moves so fast everything is in slow motion.

I focus myself into drawing my power into my hands. I walk over to the demon and place my hands on its head. Then a light starts coming off of the both of us. A blinding yellow light fills the room.

NATSU POV

Lucy places her hands on the demons head. Then out of no where. Blinding yellow light fills the whole room. I cover my eyes. When I open them again the light is dying down. Lucy's head was up to the ceiling and you could see the veins popping out of her neck.

Her eyes looked dull yet it also looked like they were in so much pain. The demon that once was in her body was now conscious. The demon looked like they were in pain too, but it looked like Lucy was in more. The demon started to fade away.

"What's going on" I say out loud

"Lucy is absorbing the demons life source and magic energy. As she does this the two have no place to escape to so they all get transferred to her body and become one with her." Kazuko says to me

"But won't that just make another demon inside her" I ask

"No, the demon was created by hatred, betrayal, and weakness. Those are what is necessary to create the demons from inside"

"But how, most people have those but they don't have demons nesting inside them" I say

"Yes you have to combine dark magic, and Lucy was either exposed or trained to dark magic" Kazuko says

"So why doesn't she want me to see this, this isn't anything to be judged by" I ask

"It's not what happens now, it's the aftermath of this" Kazuko states seriously

"What happens" I ask curious

"While draining the life source and the magic energy they have to become one with your body. But it isn't that easy, first you have to be able to tame the power then you need it to accept you. If it doesn't all the power surging through you results in human combustion." Kazuko starts

"But what happens if it does accept you and your body" I ask

"It increases you strength, power, and life source. That is the good part, the bad part is that all the power and energy in your body makes you power crazy. You lose your grip on reality and start destroying anything and anyone in you path" Kazuko explains

"So how is this any different from when Lucy had the demon inside her and started destroying stuff" I state

"The demons know what they are doing and have missions to destroy life, and magic. This is different, since you don't have a grip on reality you don't know what's going on. To them the world looks like it stopped time, and everything is completely still. Once and if they come back to reality, they will realize the world is destroyed" Kazuko states

"Wait so how and why are the instructed to destroy the world. And I still don't understand how they are different" I say

"Demons destroy the world for fun and for work, while people in this situation do it. . . . basically unconscious and without realizing" she explains

"And what about my other question" I ask

"The demons do that because. . . They are from the book of Zeref" Kazuko says

"What! So does that mean that Lucy is a demon from the book of Zeref!" I ask in disbelief

Kazuko was about to answer when there was a loud bang from behind both Kazuko and I. We both turn around in shock and see Sting standing there panting heavily.

He had a look of anger and shock. He looked back and forth between Kazuko and I. Then I looked to Kazuko and I realized that I was so close to her.

I looked back to Sting. I stepped away from Kazuko and turned my head to Lucy. She was still draining from the demon. The demon must be extremely powerful if it takes Lucy this long. I look at Kazuko and she was looking at me.

"How come you know so much about this?" I ask

I just realized that Kazuko has been able to answer all the questions I had. And I don't think that Kazuko has been through what Lucy is going through. There is something fishy going on.

"What is going on here" Sting says in anger

I totally forgot that Sting was there, he was so quiet. Which isn't like him, he is loud and annoying.

"Sting-kun, how did you know where I was, and what are you doing here?" Kazuko asks

"When I came back from the job I was on I asked where you were. They said that Natsu came and asked for you to go with him somewhere. I followed your scent which seems to be stronger then usual." Sting states

I look at Kazuko. She looked troubled. She was biting her finger, and not making eye contact at all. The Kazuko I grew to know always looks people in the eye.

I sniff the air, and Lucy's scent is stronger then usual too. I wonder what is going on. I look back at Lucy, tears run down her face. I walk over to Lucy, I was about to put my hand on her shoulder.

"No you mustn't!" Kazuko screams

"What, why" I ask

"If you touch Lucy then you will be sucked in with her, but because you haven't endured what she has you'll die!" She screams

I flinch. My eyes widen as I look at Lucy. Just what is going on here, what has Lucy gotten herself into. And to think that this is all my fault. This all happened because I was so stupid and immature.

Tears started streaming down my face. I closed my eyes, and when I opened them again Lucy's head was down.

"Lucy" I say softly

"Natsu get back, you mustn't get to close to Lucy. It is too dangerous, and we don't know what her condition is." Kazuko shouts

"Kazuko how come you know so much about this situation, and about Lucy" I ask out of curiosity

"Hey! Don't be rude to Kazuko" Sting shouts at me

"Oh shut up Sting! You have no right to talk!" I shout at him

"What the hell you mean by that!" Sting shouts back

"I am sayin' that this is non of your business! This is between Fairy Tail!"

"So then why is Kazuko here! She isn't even in Fairy Tail she is with Sabertooth!" Sting yells

I didn't say anything, I knew Sting was right. But this moment Kazuko was apart of Fairy Tail temporarily. She was connected to Lucy somehow. She could help him save Lucy from this darkness.

"She is the only one" I say quietly

"Only one for what" Sting asks

"The only one who can help me save Lucy. She is connected to her somehow, she knows Lucy in a way that we would never know. Just like you care deeply for Kazuko, I care deeply for Lucy. Kazuko is going to help me bring Lucy back to me. And I won't let you interfere with something I care so very deeply about." I say quietly

Sting just looked at me while standing at the door. He closed the door behind him and started walking towards Kazuko. He grabbed her wrist and pulled her towards him. Kazuko stumbled into Sting. She gasped at the action and the impact.

"She belongs to Sabertooth, I won't let anything happen to her. So I am staying with her until this ends. After this I don't want to see you and Kazuko together agin." Sting says seriously

"All I want is Lucy back" I say

I turn around a look at Lucy. Her head was down and her hair was all other the place. The demon once there was now gone, obliterated. I was going to touch Lucy when Kazuko yelled not to. She said that Lucy was unstable.

Lucy stood up slowly with her head still bowed down. I call her name quietly but I get no answer. Then slowly she raises her head. When her hair moved out of her face my eyes widened.

Her eyes, they looked psychotic, devilish. Lucy was trying to conceal the power within her. But so far it hasn't been working. She needs to come to her senses. Lucy started shaking, shivering, her head snaps back and I flinch in surprise.

"Natsu get back!" Kazuko yells

I step back without looking behind of me. I fall on my rear and just scoot back. What was happening to Lucy, it looked like something was possessing her.

Then all of a sudden the floor and walls around her started to crumble. She took one step and the floor crushed under her. I don't understand, just how powerful is Lucy. And how can I save her.

"Natsu you mustn't get too close" Kazuko says

"Natsu this is crazy, I'm taking Kazuko with me back to Sabertooth." Sting says as he drags Kazuko to the door

I was too shocked to say, or do anything at that point. I finally understand this situation. This is all happening because of me. Because I was so stupid, so selfish of power.

"Kazuko what would happen if I touched Lucy" I ask while she was getting dragged

Kazuko breaks out of Stings grips and runs towards me. She helps me off the ground. Kazuko puts a hand on my shoulder and squeezes it. I look at her and she looks at Lucy.

By that action I could tell it wouldn't be good. I look at Lucy and she doesn't look well. Lucy was extremely pale, her hair was covering most of her face. The single eye you could see looked lifeless.

"Lucy" I say quietly

"Kazuko, what is it. Why do I always see you with Fairy Tail. What is it that I can do to make you stay with Sabertooth." Sting says quietly

"Sting-kun" Kazuko says quietly while looking at him

"Go" I say "You belong with Sabertooth, I will admit that it is always interesting with you. But guild members need to be with their guild. And plus it looks like Sting is about to cry if you don't answer"

"But I have some business to take care of here" Kazuko says

"Don't worry I got it, after all I love Lucy. So I should be the one to be here." I say while smiling at her

I look at Sting, he returns my gaze and clenches his fists. I look at Kazuko and she is staring at Lucy. She looks at me then at Sting. I take her hand and gently push it off my shoulder.

She walks to Sting slowly while looking back and Lucy and I a couple times. She finally reached Sting.

"Now go, before I change my mind" I say

"Whatever" Sting says

"Be safe Nastu-kun. I don't want anything to happen to you" Kazuko says

As she says that Sting quickly wraps his arm around her waist and runs out the building. I could hear Kazuko squealing at the sudden movement.

I turn around and look at Lucy. The only way to save her. Is to conceal the power. But she has to do it all on her own.

"Lucy" I say

No response

"I know your in there, I just want to tell you that we all miss you" I say

"Who is this Lucy you speak of" A voice out of nowhere says

"Who are you" I ask

"I am this girls subconscious" the voice says

"Well I don't know what that means. But can you bring Lucy back?" I ask

"I wish I could but I can't" the voice says

"Why not"

"Cause, I know not of this Lucy maiden you speak of" the voice calmly says to me

"It's that girl right there. I really want her back, I don't know what I would do if she was taken away from me" I tell the voice

"I can not bring her back myself. . ." The voice trails off

I lower my head. This isn't over, I am going to get Lucy back no mater what I have to do. I walk up to Lucy.

She looks at me with that single dull eye. I wrap my arms around her and a huge light shines around us. I could feel the power surging through me. It hurts, all this power but I want to get Lucy back. I pull Lucy into a hug and squeeze her tightly.

"Lucy I know you are in there, I'm just here to say don't give up. We need you here, and that we miss you very much" I say as I embrace her

"I know not of who you speak of. I have no friends, no family, no one. My only purpose in life is to destroy" Lucy says

"That's not true. Your purpose is to be with Fairy Tail" I quietly whisper

"How would you know?" Lucy asks

"Because you are Lucy Heartfilia, Fairy Tail member. And we members of Fairy Tail don't let their members go that easily" I say as I smile

The walls around us crumble down to the floor. All of magnolia could see us floating in the air. Buildings around us start to crumble.

People started running away from us and the falling buildings. I could see Fairy Tail all the way up here. Some of the members were standing outside. I didn't know what to do, even though I was sharing the powers with Lucy. I couldn't make a difference.

"Natsu, Lucy has to feel emotion" the subconscious say

"How?" I ask

"Natsu!" someone yells

I look to where the voice is. It was Kazuko, and Sting was with her. He was gripping her hand.

"What are you doing here" I yell to her

"Kiss her! You have to kiss her!" Kazuko yells

"This is no time for kissing. Now tell me what to do I'm starving!" I yell

"You're and idiot Natsu!" Sting yells at me

"You're the idiot! And what are you doing here! I thought you went back to the guild!" I shout to him

He just looked away when I said that. I looked at Kazuko and she was laughing at Sting.

"Natsu if you want to save Lucy you have to kiss her. She has to feel emotion!" Sting yells at me

Oh so that is what the subconscious meant by emotion. If Lucy wants to come back to reality she has to feel emotions.

I look at Lucy's face, pale and dull and lifeless. I put my finger under her chin and lift her head up. I look at her for the longest time. I slowly close the space between us. When we were an inch apart I stopped.

I thought about all the good times I've had with Lucy. All the times I've smiled, cried, laughed. Lucy means everything to me. Just like how Fairy Tail and everyone in it means everything to me.

I move slower to Lucy's lips. I don't know why I'm moving so slow. I just want to kiss her, but I just don't know.

"What are you waiting for stupid, just kiss the girl already" Sting yells

I close my eyes and grit my teeth. When this is all over I'm going to turn Sting into ashes. I wrap my arms around Lucy's waist and slowly close the space between us. I slowly begin to kiss her. The light around us starts to fade, then out bursts a bright white light.

We slowly drift back down to the ground below us. As I was kissing Lucy I felt something wrap around my neck. Then I felt Lucy's lips start to kiss me back passionately. As we land Lucy unwraps her arms from around my neck and breaks the kiss. I could still feel the sensation of Lucy's soft and warm lips on mine.

"Natsu-kun!" Kazuko yells from behind

"Kazuko, I want to thank you for helping me save Lucy" I say as I turn around

"Oh, it was no problem at all" Kazuko say as she blushed and looked away

"It took you long enough" Sting says as he slowly approaches

"Hey! Shut up!" I yell at him

Before we could argue with each other Lucy tugs my arm. I look at her and then back at Kazuko and Sting. We said our goodbyes and then went our separate ways. As we were walking back to the guild I couldn't help but stare at Lucy.

"What?" she asks

"So does this mean we are a. . . you know, couple now?" I ask nervously

"No" Lucy says

"Oh" I say with disappointment while lowering my head

"Natsu" Lucy says

"Yeah" I ask depressed

"Just because we aren't a couple now doesn't mean I won't change my mind in the future" Lucy say while intertwining her hand in mine

We walk back to the guild hand in hand, and also in silence. But it was a comfortable silence.

"Hey Lucy" I say

"Yeah?" Lucy asks

"I love you" I tell her

"I know that idiot" She says as she kisses me on the cheek and giggles "And I don't want it any other way"
