Hey guys Stephen here! I take a computer graphic class at my high school and we had a project called crazy links where we combined two things so for my crazy link I combined a Hercules beetle and a drill bit to create the ultimate creation: The Drill Beetle!!!

Info: The drill beetle is capable of drilling through dirt, stone, wood, even metal! (But is unable to drill through fishing nets and bullet proof glass for some reason) It is fully capable of rotating the drill on its horn. Its diet has slightly changed because he now eats small rocks to keep its horn sharp and functional. Its diet also affected its natural wing color to be a more blue color for some unknown reason. Their eyes are also a bright green color so it can see underground when it digs and this is some form of night vision. Its exoskeleton has also changed to a more orange like color because it can now withstand up to 2,200 degrees Fahrenheit causing. The drill on his horn also helped decreased the amount of predators that usually went after the beetle before he grew his drill horn. The drill beetle lives in canyon like areas for rocks and minerals. Drill beetles now have a different mating ritual to attract a mate (females has smaller drills and their drills are shorter and their drill are gold, while a male drill battles horn is silver) which every male has the largest in both size, length and strength drill horn. When a drill beetle dies the horn is used as a drill bit that is because the drill horn cannot be squashed and whenever a drill beetle feels threatened it spins its drill as fast as it can. The drill beetle is very difficult to collect because of its horn but if you sneak up on it from behind with a fishing net and put it in a bullet proof glass container and you have yourself a drill beetle pet or for your bug collection.
