CHAPTER 1: ENTER THE METAVERSE

Long ago, there once was a myth... a myth that foretold how each world was just a mere illusion. No one knew the origin of this myth, but it was a widely held belief throughout the ages. In the eons past, plenty of civilizations craved power for their continued survival. They sought to avoid any conflict that could disrupt their peaceful existence. Many planets struggled with overpopulation and destruction by beings of ultimate destruction, in a desperate attempt to maintain the balance of order.

Unfortunately, with time passing, their civilizations began to collapse. In fear and panic, with the absence of divine beings, there was no one left to rescue them from their doom. In modern times, it has become increasingly challenging to survive on Earth. Although they view the loss of gods as a blessing in disguise, many wonder if the cosmos around them is simply an illusion. It has become a popular debate amongst humanity whether the universe that they know and live in, is only a simulation.

Location: Fairy Tail Universe (Universe-45)

Time: 12:50 pm

Flame, the red hedgehog, was running through the tall hills for a daily exercise, in order to keep his body in shape and perfect his skills. Although his training regimen might seem odd to most, since it's definitely not how hedgehogs are portrayed in the media, this method was the way he was raised and trained. He counted his repetitions to himself with each stride, all the while, he improved his endurance and pace through constant repetition and dedication.

It was just another day of training for Flame, as he pushed himself to his limits. Wondering if he should stop to check on his friends, "Hmm, yet another day of training in session! I'm wondering if I should go check on the others besides Crash. They'd be alright, I think. But I guess I'll just keep working out on my own," Flame thought to himself as he continued with his daily training for the day. The red hedgehog decided they should be fine alone for now and continued his training, all the while, trying to understand why they were constantly busy. He respects their boundaries, but he also worries about their wellbeing from time to time because Flame cares a lot about his friends.

Flame paused his training for the day to take in the sights, the red hedgehog enjoyed the peaceful setting. However, he suddenly sensed something coming his way. He prepares for whatever it may be, only to realize there was nothing physical around him. Instead, the hedgehog was sensing something strange, something he had never felt before.

"This feels strange, I'm sensing something... it's not a solid object or matter... what am I sensing?" Flame muttered in a concerned tone, as he tightened his fist in uncertainty. The red hedgehog couldn't believe what he was sensing. He's never felt this kind of energy before, let alone understand where it was coming from or what it indicates. Flame was filled with concern but determined to figure out what was happening. Suddenly, he noticed his surroundings begin to warp and contort, shifting into a reality completely different from his own.

As Flame got to his feet, he noticed that his surroundings were not what he normally saw. This new reality was unfamiliar to him, and he was unsure of where he was heading. Suddenly, a feeling of uncertainty filled Flame as he pondered how he would escape back to whatever reality he used to reside in.

"Great... I guess I am the only one here now," he groaned as he tried to keep himself composed. He looked left and right as he carefully took in all of his surroundings, trying to make sense of this strange world.

After a few minutes of wandering, Flame realized that things made no sense whatsoever. His brain was getting dizzy and he was growing worried. He couldn't understand a single aspect that made this new world tick. He then remembered that Crash was with him, but he failed to see the red hedgehog anywhere. Flame was all alone in this world he's never seen before. The red hedgehog didn't know what to do or where to go. He couldn't think of anything except getting the help of his ally, but his ally was no longer there and he was left alone and confused.

"Why are those mirrors in the sky? What do they even mean?" Flame questioned as he began to jog through this unfamiliar world. He could not pinpoint what these mirrors meant but he couldn't help but think, "What if these mirrors would lead me back to my home dimension?"

With this thought buzzing around his mind, Flame attempted to jump up to one of the mirrors, and much to his surprise, as he touched the mirror glass, he was pulled straight into it.
