"Woah! Y/n! How did you do that?" After class, Rin came bounding up to you like an excited puppy. You shrugged.

"Who knows," you replied, "Seems everything I do can never be lowkey."

"I was kinda surprised," Shima spoke from the sidelines. "I never thought someone like you would be able to summon demons like that." You sent him a half-smile.

"You'd be surprised."

"Hey, hey! Can you teach me to summon demons like that?" Rin asked, a wide grin on his face. You reached up to light ruffle his hair. "He-hey!"

"Idiot, I can't just teach you." You smiled. "You heard what the Professor said. You need to have a natural aptitude for it."

"Tch. At least she seems to have more common sense than you," Suguro spoke gruffly, his arms crossed.

"Shut up!" Rin exclaimed back. You and the four boys walked out of class together. Down the ihall, you could see Shiemi walking behind Kamiko and Paku. You quirked a brow. Well that's... an interesting dynamic. Shiemi was carrying Kamiko's purse.

"What's with that? Shiemi's become Tiny Brow's servant," Rin spoke.

"Tiny Brow?" Konekomaru repeated questioningly. Shima chuckled.

"He must mean Ms. Kamiki," he said, "They're just messing around."
Both you and Rin looked at her trailing behind.

"Hey, look at that..." Rin's eye twitched. "That Shiemi... she's totally running around like an errand girl." You and the two brothers sat outside your dorm. Kamiki was running Shiemi around like a slave, all while the latter happily accepted the requests.

"Huh?" Yukio said.

"It's nothing," you said, brushing it off. "We having the camp in our dorm?"

"There's nobody else in this dorm but us, so it's fine if we cause a ruckus," Yukio replied, "It's just convenient."

"Yeah, until our dorm gets blown up," you said. The group of students appeared, walking over the bridge.

"Good morning!" Shima exclaimed happily.

"No morning's a good morning," you said bleakly.

"Good morning!" Yukio replied back. The students were too busy gaping at the run-down dorm building.

"Listen, this place is like a ghost hotel or something!" Suguro said. Your brow twitched.

"Huh? Are you insulting our dorm building?" You asked, hand reaching for your sword. Yukio laughed nervously, quickly placing a hand on your shoulder while Rin grabbed your free arm.

"Now, now! I'm sure they're just surprised!" Yukio said, "Please don't mind Y/n. She's not a morning person."

"Couldn't you find a better place than this?" Kamaki asked before turning and making Shiemi hold her bag. Your brow twitched. You little-- Rin quickly got up and pulled you back a foot, laughing nervously.

"Calm down, Y/n."

"I don't wanna hear that coming from you."

When everyone was prepared, you all went inside and filled in your papers. Sat around a table, Yukio looked at his watch.

"All right, time's up," he said, "Turn your papers over and hand them in." You all turned over your papers. Wasn't that hard.

"Man, it's finally over," Shima sighed.

"That took forever!" Konekomaru groaned.

"Hey... I'm gonna go out and get some air," Rin said, standing up from the table. His head began to steam.

"Yeah, go cool off," Suguro said.

"Tomorrow, everyone be up by 6 am."
You sent him a glare.

"We'll have an hour before class to go over the answers to this test."
You leaned against the table and let out a sigh. The girls stood up and talked about taking baths. When they left the room, you noticed Shima's lewd expression.

"Girls' bath, huh? Sounds good!" He said, "Don't you think we need to get down there and have a peek?" You glanced at him.

"Shima! Don't forget you're a priest!" Suguro exclaimed.

"Shima's falling into his bad habit again," Konekomaru added.

"Oh, listen you two. You know you're both as interested as me..."

"Shima," you spoke.

"Huh?" When he turned, he shit his pants. Your expression, dark--almost demonic--was glaring back at him. Konekomaru and Suguro looked away.

"Keep your licentious gaze away from any girl you come across," you said, "Or I'll rip your eyes out myself." With that, you got up. You walked past Shima who was frozen to his spot. When you left the room, Yukio smiled a bit. Out down one of the halls, you saw Rin drinking a carton of whatever the fuck.

"Yo, Rin," you called, catching up to him.

"Hey," he said, slowing down to allow you to catch up. "Man, that test was grueling." You shrugged.

"It wasn't that bad. Just took a while, that's all."

"Easy for you to say, you know, like, everything."
You laughed lightly.

"That's not true," you said, smiling. "I don't know everything. I'm not omniscient." Near the baths, you saw Shiemi standing alone outside the door.

"Hey Shiemi," you called, "What are you doing?" You two stopped to talk to her.

"Nothing," she replied, not turning to look at you. "I've got to go get some fruit milk." She turned to face away from you and began to walk away.

"Hey," you quickly said, catching her wrist. "What's wrong? Every time I see you, you're running back and forth for that girl--always doing her errands and shit." Shiemi turned to look at you.

"I'm not doing errands! I'm helping out my friend!" She said.

"Huh? You're not helping her. Do you really believe that?" You asked.

"I'm tired of always hiding behind someone else and being rescued..." She said quietly. You loosened your grip on her. "Even I want... to become strong enough to rescue someone else! She's the first friend I ever had!" She backed away from you, but you still held on.

"You don't get it you two, cause you've always been strong and had friends!" She ripped her arm from your grasp and ran off.

"What the... hey, hold up!" Rin exclaimed before taking off after her. You sighed and let him run off.

"Man..." You said, scratching your head. "What a bunch of characters--" You sensed a demon close by. Right on cue, Paku and Kamiki screamed from inside the bath. You rushed in. Bashing the door open, you slid in between the shelves of compartments. Paku was on the ground, arm burning from the Ghoul's Temptaint. Kamiki, only in her underwear, reached into her shelf to grab the Magic Circle papers. You ran in front of her, unhooking your sword from your back. You extended it out, hitting the butt-end into the Ghoul's chest.

"Get back!" You exclaimed, successfully pushing it back into the bath area. Without taking your eyes off of it, you grabbed Paku and forcibly slid her over to Kamiki. "Go get her help!" You unsheathed your sword, letting the blade shine.

"Stay back, you foul heathen!" You swiped at it, not intending to hit it, but to direct its body away from the others.

"Y/n!" You heard Rin yell. You turned your head enough to see him enter the room. You looked back at the Ghoul.

"Rin!"
You turned your head and saw Shiemi run in. The Greenman!

"Shiemi!" You exclaimed, "Heal Paku! Rin, stay watch!" You turned your attention back to the Ghoul when it let out a low groan. It reached out its arm towards you, but you dodged, maneuvering back around into the bath area. That's when it turned. Shit! It's going for Rin! It grabbed Rin by the face and threw him through the glass window. You ran and caught him, dodging again when the Ghoul reached out its arm. Your back was pressed against the shower wall, your arm in front of Rin. Your sword was pointed towards the Ghoul who was slowly crawling towards you.

Your eyes went over to the girls. They weren't focused on you. No, it's too risky.

"Please forgive me..." The Ghoul spoke slowly. "I only... do as my master... bids me." Master? The ghoul towered over you. Rin's Kurikara was thrown away from him from the previous throw. He pressed himself against you, a subtle way of shielding you away. With a growl, you leaned forward and stabbed the thing in the chest. The silver blade carried a small stream of red fire. In a mere second, the Ghoul exploded in red flames. It screeched in pain, running around blindly. You grabbed Rin and ran out of the bathroom. That's when Yukio showed up, brandishing his gun. You sheathed your sword, and when the blade was covered, the flames dissipated. Yukio shot at the Ghoul, but it just escaped out of the window.

"Are you alright you two?" He asked you two.

"You're late!" Rin exclaimed.

"But I made it just in time."
You noticed Suguro, Shima, and Konekomaru were there as well. You clipped your sword on your back. You walked around the corner and saw Kamiki pressed up against the side of the shelf.

"Oi, you okay?" You asked.

"Don't look at me!" She yelled, tightening into a ball. Looking closer, you noticed she was crying. "I'm so mortified to be in this state... I can't let anyone see me. I couldn't do anything. I couldn't even help my only friend in the world! And now she hates me..." You sighed at her pity monologue and removed your shirt. You threw it over her head which was enough of a distraction.

"Put it on and get going." You walked out of the room.

"OI! WHY AREN'T YOU WEARING A SHIRT?!" A red-faced Rin yelled, pointing at you. You looked at him with a quirked brow.

"I gave my shirt to Kamiki," you replied calmly. "Chill. I have other tops." Rin just grumbled under his breath, but realized his eyes kept sliding over to you. That made him blow his top.

"YOU'VE SEEN ME SHIRTLESS BEFORE RIN, QUIT BEING A SCHOOL BOY!"
