"I'm not above being rude,"
In the morning, you and Yukio were already eating at the table. Rin had yet to wake up and join you. School was also going to start soon. You glanced up at him through your eating.
"Shouldn't you have woken him up?" You asked. He met your eyes.
"I tried three separate times. You can try if you wish."
You rolled your eyes.
"Trust me, getting someone like him to wake up aint easy. I had to body slam him once to get him to even open his eyes."
Yukio smiled exasperatedly.
"I'm glad I have someone to share the burden of babysitting with," he said. You shrugged.
"I knew what I was getting into when I met you two."
That's when you heard Rin yell and his thunderous footsteps coming down the hall. You and Yukio just finished. You neatly put your chopsticks down.
"Thank you for the meal," you both said as Rin slid into the entryway, half clothed.
"Good morning, Rin," Yukio greeted.
"Morning," you said with a wave.
"Why didn't you wake me up?!"
"Well, I tried three times, but you wouldn't wake up. So I figured you were pretty wiped and let you sleep." He smiled at Rin. You hid a smile.
"I don't care how thoughtful you are, try four times tomorrow!" Rin took a seat next to you. " Time to eat." And began to gobble his food.
"You're eating?" Yukio said questioningly.
"I'm running a marathon third period. I'll croak if I don't eat!" He replied. You chortled.
"Oh, what a sight that'd be."
"Well, I'm gonna head out," Yukio said, standing up with his tray. "Don't forget to put away your dishes when you're done."
"What are you, my mom?!"
You followed after Yukio's lead, though slower. You placed your tray down.
"Thank you for the meal," you said, inclining your head slightly. You walked over to the entrance and heard Rin hastily get out of his seat and repeating your action.

The bell rang for lunch. A torrent of students ran out to the Student Store to try and find food for themselves. You and Rin arrived together, seeing the sea of students.
"Well they're excited," you said flatly.
"Did we get here too late?" Rin muttered before taking off into the crowd. You raised a brow at him.
"Well he's rowdy."
A few seconds later, Yukio came running up to your side.
"I'm too late," he groaned. You smiled and nudged him.
"Thinking with your stomach helps. Just ask Rin," you said. Yukio sighed.
"Yes, Rin seems very food motivated."
"Okumura-kun!" Three feminine voices called out at once. The two of you turned around to see three girls standing behind you holding bento boxes.
"Um... and you are..." Yukio trailed off, obviously not recognizing them.
"We're first years in the Special Advanced Class with you... I'm Kashimo!"
"Nishiwaki!"
"Omoto!"
You quirked a brow and glanced at him.
"Wh-... what can I do for you?" Yukio asked.
"Well!" Kashimo slid up to Yukio, holding out a bento box and essentially pushing you out of the way. "We thought this might happen..."
"... so we made lunch just for you!" Nishiwaki followed suit.
"Please have this!" Omoto finished. Then the three of them glared at each other, sparks bouncing off of them. Both you and Yukio just stared at each other in surprise.
"Hey, mine first!"
"What are you talking about? Mine first!"
The three continued to bicker with one another.
"Um..." Yukio awkwardly rubbed the back of his head. As the three were fighting, you finally sighed.
"Actually, you three," you spoke loudly, drawing their attention. "Just remembered that Yukio is going to eat with me and his brother. Thank you!" You grabbed Yukio's hand and hauled ass over to Rin.
"COME 'ERE!" You grabbed Rin's hand and also hauled his ass behind you. You managed to run all the way to the main cafeteria. When you let the two go, both of them were breathing heavily from the sudden work out.
"Thank you... Y/n... I'm saved..." Yukio said.
"Yeah, like I've never done that before." You coughed.
"Didn't those girls make lunch especially for you?" Rin asked, turning his head to look at his brother. "Why couldn't you just eat them? What a waste!" Yukio straightened up.
"I couldn't eat three meals at once, and if I chose one, I would upset the others," he replied.
"How technical," you said, "Should've taken all of them and then thrown them out."
"That's rude, Y/n."
"I'm not above being rude. I'd do it for you."
"Wow, check out this spread! A cafeteria with lobster on the menu!" Rin gaped at the display case of food. Yukio turned to look at him.
"Are you listening, Rin?"
"This is mind blowing! French, Chinese, Italian... they've got everything!"
"True Cross Academy is a school for the privileged," you said, crossing your arms. "Obviously they have first class food." Rin laughed.
"So I guess that means I'm high class now," he said with a smug smirk. Barely high class.
"You can buy your meal ticket over here at the vending machine first," Yukio explained.
"What should I have?" Rin happily wobbled closer to the machine before spluttering out in shock. "WHAT THE HELL? TELL ME THESE PRICES HAVE AN EXTRA ZERO!!"
"This is a rich kids' school, Rin," you said with a sigh.
"Dammit... you high class snobs!" Rin growled, placing his hand on the hilt of Kurikara. You quickly wrapped your arms around him and wrestled against him to keep him from killing everyone.
"Calm down, Rin!" Yukio exclaimed, "The cheapest one is A lunch at 1800 yen. I'll pay for you!" (Approx. 18$)
~
You somehow were dragged into the office of Mephisto Pheles. Rin had pulled you along with him.
"Lower the prices in the school cafeteria?" He repeated, "I'm afraid that won't be possible. To provide first rate cuisine, we purchase first-rate ingredients, and hire first rate chefs, you see."
"Well, the student cafeteria doesn't need to be first rate, does it?" Rin inquired.
"Dining is culture. One's life in enriched by experiencing first-rate cuisine." A quiet chime went of. "Ah." He began to eat cup noodles right after that. Your eye twitched. Coming from the man eating instant noodles.
"Then at least give us an allowance!" Rin said.
"Oh my... rather unlike me to completely forget such a detail," he said, slurping a noodle in his mouth. "After all, even the Son of Satan needs something to live on, no?" He pulled out his wallet and took out a 2,000 yen bill. (Approx. 20$)
"Woah! A 2,000 yen bill!" Rin exclaimed.
"A phantom bill whose existence is said to be an urban legend," Yukio added on. It's a piece of mitsumata. You sighed. This is going to be a long school year.
Ja ne!
