Chapter 9: looking for me

Nykera's pov:

I woke up to a annoying dripping sound. I opened my eyes to see said dripping of water from the sheet cover over top of me. I stepped out from my shelter onto the wet ground. I turned and started to pack everything back into the sheet bundle, tying it around my shoulder.

I had to keep moving if I wanted to stay free. I started walking not trusting myself with running in the mud. I took the time to look at my surroundings of the tall pine trees, bushes and small animals that made me jump, thinking it was 'master'.

I remembered that roger is taking 'master' the opposite way I'm going but who knows how long he can keep that up. I started to speed up my pace, not wanting to ever go back to that place. I heard footsteps coming towards me, these footsteps were way too heavy to be a innocent animal.

I started to go faster, glance every so often to my right, where the footsteps were coming from. The footsteps were coming fast and I started running like a kid with a stolen cookie before dinner. I broke though the trees into a clearing that's when I saw this big brown werewolf.

I turned on my heel but the way i had just came was blocked by a hazel furred wolf. My breathing started to speed up as I tried to think of a way out of here without getting eaten! I turned to the brown wolf, closed my eyes and ran at it as I yelled, "I'm not going back there!".

I suddenly felt arms wrap around me, instead of feeling fur like I thought I would. I opened my eyes to see, chest, i looked up to see mike with a smile on his face.

"you are the only person in the world that would run at a wolf instead of away from it", he said with laughter clear in his voice.

"mike!", I cried out as I felt tears forming in my eyes.

I wrapped my arms around him and squeezed him, tightly. He hugged me back just as tightly, laughing. I pulled back slowly, as I heard a voice say, "he's not the only one that missed you Nykera".

I turned and saw Finn making his way over to us with his arms open.

"finn!, I've miss you too", I cried as I jumped into his arms.

After he let me back on the ground, he ruffled my hair saying, "the group just hasn't been the same without you, girl".

I giggled, nodding my head, "glad to know y'all can't function without me".

"not to cut this short, but I think, we should get going", mike suggested pointing to the trees behind him.

Finn and I nodded our heads as we started to make our way over to mike. At that moment I heard the voice I hated with a burning passion.

"there you are pet, me and snow puppy been looking everywhere for you", It was 'master'.

"fuck!", I cursed as I turned to see 'master' and roger standing there, roger gave me a look that said 'sorry, I tried to keep him away for as long as I could'.

I gave him a look that said, 'I know, it's ok'. Funny how we can read each others facial expressions, I just that happened when you have only one friend and have to deal with 'master's bipolar ass.

"pet, come here, please", 'master' said sweetly.

I bowed my head slightly as I said, "yes, master".

"what! Nykera, don't", I heard Finn tell me, with desperation in his voice.

I started to walk toward 'master', once I got in front of him, I punched him in the face. I grabbed Roger's hand and started to pull him towards my friends. Roger pulled out of my grasp and kicked 'master', in his family jeawels.

"that's for being an asshole!", roger shouted at him then ran with me to my friends.

I giggled as I introduced them, "guys this roger, roger these are my guys, mike and Finn".

"again, I think we should leave", I heard mike say as he motioned towards the woods, yet again.

"ok, but I wanna ride you in wolf form", I told mike.

I watched as his face turned red as he started to snicker, "god, if you didn't add the 'in wolf form' part I would be so flipping out right now".

"you.....wish....that's ....what....I ...ment", I said in between laughs.

"no, I love you Nykera but we'd be the weirdest couple ever", mike said shaking his head.

"true, but we never know if we don't try", I suggested with a eyebrow wiggle.

I watched as mike's eyebrow started to twitch in confusion on weather I was joking or not. I laughed as he still looked confused, man did I miss him.

I heard groaning from where 'master' was, I tugged on roger and pushed mike forward with my other hand. We were about to start running when something big and oily black came out of the woods.

"damn, it's a biter",mike and Finn said at the same time.

"biter?", roger and I asked, him scratching his head and me tilting my head.
