"You're joking right, a whole day," Sirius questioned

"Yes, spend the whole day with me and being nice, then I'll know you're sorry," she told him, he nodded holding his hand out to her.

"Deal, when does it start?" he asked she shook his hand.

"In the morning till the end of curfew," she informed him, he smiled at her,

"Okay, I'll see you in the morning," Sirius left the library, as she also left, Alice caught up with her in the hall.

"Did Sirius find you?" she asked, she wondered why Alice spoke to her she was so sure that being in Slytherin would have caused a problem, for her being friends with Lily, Alice and Marlene.

"Yes, he did,"

"I'm sorry, I tried-

"No, it's fine, it turned out better than I thought," she smiled brightly.

"Really, how so?"

"He said, he'd do anything to prove he's sorry, so tomorrow he's going to be so nice and helpful to me that it'll seem like someone had put a curse on him," she smiled devilishly proud of her plan.

"Does the fact that he's willing to do anything, prove he's sorry?" Alice questioned

"Yes, but don't tell him that," she winked at Alice,

"Ohh clever, you'll know how far he's willing to go,"

"Exactly Wonderland," Alice smiled at her

"Are you going to sit with us," she asked Aimee smiled at her

"Yeah, I think I will, for a change," she walked with her through the Great Hall, sitting beside her and across from Marlene and Lily. She glanced down the table, smiling at Sirius, he smiled back as he turned to Remus, Peter and James

"You're ditching us for Burke," James exclaimed, almost choking on his food.

"I'm not ditching you, I'm proving to her that I'm sorry," he said, James raised his brows, "by spending the entire day with her, she's got to be a good Slytherin right, I mean she sits with Evans and her friends," Remus and Peter nodded agreeing with him.

"She's coming," Peter said, Sirius shushed them as Aimee walked over to their group.

"Hi, Aimee," he said, she smiled at him,

"Remus, I finished it," she told him, handing him back his book.

"Thank you, how'd you like it?" he asked

"Still one of my favourite stories," she laughed, "I find it quite funny how much, I picture Gandalf looking just like Professor Dumbledore," Remus laughed

"He does, doesn't he," Aimee and Remus laughed looking down the hall at their headmaster.

"Anyway thank you for lending it to me," she told him, he nodded, she walked out of the great hall.

"Hi Aimee," James teased,

"Shut up," Sirius nudged him in his side.

"Why are you calling her Aimee all of a sudden, I thought she was Burke to you," James asked

"Part of the deal,"

The next morning, Aimee braided a small section of her hair, leaving the rest down and wavy. She tied her school tie, grabbing all her books for the day, just to save time, rather than returning to her dorm room after every lesson. She left her common room, to find Sirius leaning on the wall.

"It's about time, I've seen a lot of people come out before you," he said, "shall we go for breakfast?" she nodded walking with him to the Great Hall.

Aimee walked towards the Slytherin table with Sirius. He knew that he wasn't going to hear the end of this from James, Sirius uncomfortably sat down next to her, he squirmed in his seat. Looking all around him, he wouldn't glance over to the Gryffindor knowing that James was burning a hole in the back of his head.

"How are you doing there, Squirmy?" she asked

"It's awkward sat here," he admitted

"I feel awkward sitting at the Gryffindor table," she informed him

"That's different, you were sat with Alice yesterday," he told her, a few Slytherins were looking at the pair, "take a picture it'll last longer," she tried to hold back a laugh "So what do you want to do today, after class that is," he asked, taking a bite of his toast.

"I'm not sure, I haven't decided yet," she said, he nodded, knowing no matter what Aimee suggested he had to put up with it.

"We better head to class," he suggested, she knew they would arrive early to their lesson, which wasn't accurate to Sirius behaviour he would nearly always be late with James.

Sirius just wanted an excuse to leave the Slytherin table, she didn't protest and left with him. They walked to their potions class, many students glanced curiously at the pair, Sirius Black was sorted into Gryffindor, many students assumed he would want to stay away from his family's Slytherin reputation.

"Here will do just fine," she told him, settling down her textbooks on the desk, as they waited for their professor, Alice walked into class giggling to herself when she saw Sirius sitting with Aimee; who was trying to hold back her own laugh.

"What's up with her?" Sirius asked

"I don't know, maybe she thinks you're funny looking,"

"Oh, har har, with hair as good as mine you can't be funny looking,"

"Wow," she said "confident much," he laughed at her, she realised it was the first time, she had heard him laugh with her, he usually seemed too annoyed or laughed at her. 'I'm reading too much into this, I did tell him to be nice to me,' she thought.

"I thought we could go down to the lake, you know before the weather turns too cold," Aimee said, quietly to prevent Professor Slughorn from hearing her talking.

"Sure, that sounds like a good idea," Sirius murmured, checking their potion is the correct colour and texture, "I think we've done something wrong?" he said, she looked in their cauldron

"I don't think we have it looks fine," she assured him,

After Professor Slughorn dismissed the class, he left quickly, which meant she was left to clean up after them. She shook her head, as she left the classroom he waited for her, walking with him down the corridor a little.

"Shall we go to the lake now," he asked

"Yes, and by the way leaving me to clean up wasn't nice," she smirked at him, "I'm afraid you lose points for that,"

"There are points?" she laughed

"No, it looks like it's going to rain soon, we best hurry," she told him, they walked to the lake.

Once they reached the grass by the lake, she rushed ahead of him throwing her bag and books at the base of the tree, she climbed on a rock behind it. Sirius hurried when it looked like she was struggling, he smirked at her, she was more fun than he thought.

"What are you doing?" Sirius asked

"What does it look like, I'm trying to climb a tree," she reached up to the branch.

"You're going to hurt yourself," she scoffed continuing to climb the tree.

"I'll be fine," she slipped, he leapt forward grabbing her waist

"I told you," he said, pushing her up a little.

"Come on, just help me get up," Aimee said, he sighed lifting her higher up, "I got it," she pulled herself up sitting in the tree.

"Feel accomplished now," he said, shoving his hands into his trousers, smiling up at the Slytherin girl.

"I wanted to try it ever since I read it in a book," she told him, "I thought it was cute," he chuckled at her swinging her legs.

"What happens after?"

"The guy kisses the girl," she told him, she smiled at his awkwardness after she answered, her smile dropped as she looked back down.

"What's wrong?" he asked

"I didn't think about getting back down," she admitted, he looked around him.

"Here, jump down I'll catch you," he suggested, "I won't drop you," she hesitantly looked down.

"You swear,"

"I swear," she nodded she moved her hands from around the tree branch, she prepared to push herself off. She jumped from the tree branch, directly on top of Sirius, knocking him down to the ground. "I didn't realise how high up I was," she looked up at where she had jumped from.

"Told you I'd catch you,"

She pulled herself away from him, holding her hand out to help him up, she shuffled her feet avoiding looking at his way. She didn't mean to fall directly on top of him. He brushed the dirt off his robes, Aimee lifted her bag, he noticed her straining as she lifted her bag.

"Here," he gestured for her bag, she gave him her bag, "merlin's beard, what's in here?" he asked lifting the heavy bag over his shoulder.

"Books," she told him, shrugging her shoulders as if he should've known that she had books in her bag.

"How many did you put in here, an entire library," he joked, chuckling to himself

"No, just the book that we needed for today," she told him, reaching for her bag "if you don't want to hold my bag-

"No, I'm going to carry your bag for you," he smiled at her, "Like a gentleman,"

"You a gentleman," Aimee held back her laugh

"I resent that, I was raised to be a gentleman," he argued playfully

"Of course you were, and I raised to be a lady, doesn't mean I am," she smirked at him

Sirius and Aimee walked back through the field, leading back to the castle. He had to admit that he actually enjoyed himself today, he honestly could say he believed he was going to be bored the entire day. However, it turned out to be better than he first thought.

She enjoyed his company too, they sat together in all their classes, by their last class most of Alice's giggling had stopped, resulting in small smiles when she caught Aimee's eyes. She noted that they were drawing near to curfew, Sirius walked her down to the dungeons.

"Here, you go," he handed Aimee her bag back.

"Thanks," she smiled at him

"You know when you found my letter, I could tell you didn't read it," he told her, she creased her brows, "It was from my parents," he paused looking around him "they weren't happy that I was sorted into Gryffindor. They're pretty disappointed," she watched him, wondering why he decided to tell her.

"I'm sorry," she said, not understanding why his parents would be disappointed it was only a house, "I meant what I said, I want to be your friend Sirius, I just get the feeling you never wanted to be mine," she admitted.

"It's not that, I just assumed you were just another stuck up pureblood, then I see you're friends with Evans-

"Actually, I don't know if she considers me a friend, she only let me sit with her and her friends,"

"What about Remus then? Are you two friends?" he asked

"Again I don't know, he let me borrow his book cause he felt bad," she told him, he cringed still feeling a little guilty about ruining her book.

"Again I'm sorry-

"I know you are," she said, he creased his brows, "you wouldn't have spent the whole day with me if you weren't," he smiled at her, Sirius held his hand out to her

"Friends?" he asked, she shook his hand.

"Friends," she smiled at him. Sirius turned around to leave the dungeons, she watched him. That's all it took a day in each others company to see each other's worth.

As she walked into her common room she noted that it appeared to be more full than usual, Aimee kept to herself sitting away from the big groups of students. She spotted Narcissa and her friend laughing at something one of the boys had said, then she saw Lucius making his way towards his bedroom, she hurried to catch up with him.

"Hi, Lucius," She said, stopping him from leaving "How are things going with Narcissa?" she asked he looked over to Narcissa and Helene.

"Fine, actually your little plan seems to have worked, cause she spoke to me this morning, in Divination," he informed her, she nodded

"You're still, going to do what I said right," Aimee asked

"Yes, it really bothered her that I didn't seem interested in her, maybe your little plan might just work in getting her to ask me out," she smiled happy that her plan was working

"That's good, I know she likes you, I just do,"

"Yes well, if she does in fact ask me out then, I'll owe you one," Lucius said winking at her, he left for the boy's dorm room, she turned to go to her room.

She felt accomplished after, hearing that things were going to plan with Lucius and Narcissa, hopefully, this would keep Narcissa from bothering her about Sirius. She also allowed herself a little happy dance when she was alone, Sirius actually considered her a friend. Today turned out to be a lot better than she had initially anticipated.
