"R-Robin....we can't do this."

She pulled him off of her, backing up. She knew the dangers of being in love, especially with him. And she just couldn't risk it.

He sighed, his hands by his side. He just wanted to love her, be with her, keep her safe.

"Rae.."

"No, Robin. I appreciate your help, but I'm fine now. You can go."

He backed away, mouth set in a firm line. She stared at him, putting her barrier up. She rubbed her wrists, unaware.

He stared at the floor, using a hand to pinch the bridge of his nose. He wanted to help her, and here she was, refusing the offer.

She turned away, using her energy to open the door. He started to exit, stopping at the door itself.

"Raven, if you need anything, you-"

He was cut off by the sound of the alarm blaring. Raven jolted, staring into the whites of his mask.

"You don't have to go if you're not up to it, Rae."

"No. I'll go."

She walked with him to the common room, staring at the screen.

Red X.

She remembered the last time she had faced the smart talking villain. He was stealing more xenothium. Unfortunately, he had gotten it, retreating to whatever place he had come from.

"Titans. Looks like he's headed towards the museum."

Cyborg sighed, making his way towards the T Car. The three Titans followed, Robin going for his cycle.

Raven felt her wrists throb, but ignored it. Focusing on the task at hand. She sat in the front next to Cyborg, Starfire and Beast Boy in the back.

They followed Robin, the only sound Cyborg's music. He looked over to the resident "Dark Girl", raising a brow.

"Yo Rae, is something bothering you?"

She looked up at him, shaking her head, her response barely audible.

"No, I'm ok."

He looked at her suspiciously, but went back to driving. Raven close her eyes, saying her mantra in her head.

Before she knew it, they had arrived at the museum. She saw Robin, and her heart jumped a little bit, he was looking at her. She made her way out of the car an to the rest of the team.

"Titans, Go!"

Raven watched her fellow team mates move forward, as she herself took to the sky. What she didn't see was the x going straight for her.
