Characters:
Mason is portrayed as a goal-getter, high achiever, and all-round perfect captain of his team. However, there is another side to him that is hidden from most, which is his constant need for perfection that causes him a lot of anxiety. He feels the need to shoulder all the responsibilities and strive not to disappoint anyone. He never lets praise go to his head but instead constantly sees flaws in himself, even when there aren't.
Xamira is seen as motivated, determined, and a good dancer. There hasn't been much spotlight on her persona yet.
Writing Style:
The book is written in first person pov with each chapter dedicated to each of the main characters. This way we can see events and emotions independently based on who the focus of the chapter is. The characters' thoughts and frame of mind are also personified in each scenario, you can feel their personality shine through.
Spellings and Vocabulary: 9/10
There are little to no errors with spelling and vocabulary. The paragraphs are also spaced well.
E. V. A. L. U. A. T. I. O. N
Overall Impression:
The book gives the feel of old Wattpad stories which is quite nice to see in this day filled with fan-fiction. It was stories like this that brought us to Wattpad during the old days.
Strengths & Weaknesses:
The storyline is both a weakness and a strength. The trope might be old but it is nice to see a modern twist to it.
Recommendation:
I would suggest the reduction of the pronoun "I'. Find ways to construct sentences to portray the first person pov without overusing pronouns.
Showing two povs of the same scene might work well in the first few chapters but I would suggest a continuation of the scene with each pov, this way, it doesn't get boring.
Target Audience:
15-30
