Chapter 29
"Alrighty, here's the plan. Roxy, you check by your racetrack, Chica you look through Mazercise. I'll stick here at Fazerblast," Freddy instructed, using a map he borrowed from Map Bot. The rest of the group was peering over his shoulders to see. The bear animatronic turned to Gregory and Pedro as he continued, "Could you too go down to the lobby? Maybe she wandered down there."
"Sure she did Pooh Bear, a four year old managed to get down to the bottom floor after y'all lost her on the top floor," Monty's gruff voice spoke over everyone's devices. Sighing softly, Freddy replied, "It's a possibility. We have to find her, Grace can't be by herself in a place like this. Could you check by your golf course?" There was some unintelligible grumbling before Monty answered, "Fine. I'll also check Bonnie Bowl for ya Fazbear." Relieved, Freddy mumbled, "Thank you."
"I am currently searching throughout the daycare, heading to Kids Cove next," Sundrop piped up through the connection. Then DJ chimed in with a series of noises. When translated, he was clearly saying he was checking his whole dance floor. "Okay, let's go find Gracie," Freddy declared as he handed the map back to Map Bot. The poor robot stared at the map in what appeared to be disbelief and anguish while the others left. They were on a mission to find a small child.

"Gracie? Gracie, are you here?" Freddy called out softly. He was wandering around Fazerblast, looking for the small child. Grace was fast for a kid who couldn't properly walk yet. But she could still be in this general area, right? Pausing in his tracks, Freddy scratched his chin thoughtfully. Where could she be? As he was thinking, his vision was blocked by a red warning sign.
Low power.
Crap! He forgot to charge! Looking around frantically, Freddy spotted a charging station over in the corner. Perfect! The bear animatronic started making his way over to it with a sense of urgency in every step. However, he only got a few feet away when his systems shut down. He deactivated involuntarily in the middle of the room. Walking up to the animatronic, a boy kicked the bear's foot before declaring, "I think he's broken."

"Oh I hope someone has found her by now," Chica mumbled worriedly, wringing her hands nervously as she approached the kitchen. There had been no sign of the little girl in Mazercise and so far no one had radioed in any news. Strangely enough, it seemed Freddy was offline. She wondered why that was.
Chica groaned quietly. Why did this keep happening? Grace had the heart of an adventurer and the stealth of a ninja. In the past week since she had adopted the child, the chicken animatronic had managed to lose the little girl several times. Parenting was harder than she thought, how did Freddy make it look so easy. Shuddering with unease, Chica entered the kitchen.

"Attention ladies and gentlemen, I am currently shutting down the racetrack for a few minutes. There is a lost child wandering around," Roxy announced to a huge crowd of people who had been eagerly awaiting to go racing. Though there were a few who were disgruntled by the now even longer wait time, there were some who seemed concerned. Roxy continued her announcement, "She is four years old, loves wearing pink and answers to the name Grace. Please keep your eyes peeled and if you see anything come find me or a staff bot." With that, she dismissed the meeting.
"Now, I hope she's around here somewhere..." Roxy muttered under her breath, flicking her ear. Grace was proving herself to be a little troublemaker. Walking along the biggest racetrack, the wolf animatronic's head swiveled both left and right, always searching for any sign of the missing child. Good thing she could see through walls. She would be able to find Grace in no time.
Nearing the back half of the attraction, Roxy noticed a supply door. Could Grace be in there? Curious, the wolf animatronic headed over and entered the dark space. Her eyes weren't picking up anything that resembled a small human child. Grace wasn't here. However, there were spare deactivated endos loitering around. Approaching one with a mangled top half, Roxy couldn't help but wonder why in the world would management keep something so busted up. At least the legs looked like they could still work.
Staring at the legs of the endo, Roxy couldn't help but think about her son. Poor Pedro would never be able to walk again, or could he? Roxy will admit, she wasn't the smartest animatronic when it came to human healthcare. But she was pretty sure they had something called leg braces and prosthetics that helped people walk again. Would it be possible that the endo's legs could help Pedro? A lightbulb went off in her head. Excitement coursing through her circuits, Roxy quickly called up Chica through their shared network, "Chica! Come quick! I have a brilliant idea!"
"Hm?" Chica mumbled, looking up from the pile of trash she was currently eating. Yeah, the stress was getting to her.

"Crocodile scary..." a small boy whimpered to his mother. Watching the duo run away as he approached Bonnie Bowl, Monty rolled his eyes to the sky and grumbled, "Alligator." Shaking his head, he entered the bowling alley. Seeing how packed it was, he let out an exasperated sigh and muttered, "How am I supposed to find Chica's little brat in here?!"
The sound of sneers and jeers caught Monty's attention. They sounded familiar, too familiar. His eyelid already twitching in frustration, the alligator animatronic marched his way over to the corner. Sure enough, there was Billy and Tom laughing their heads off. And on the ground on hands and knees was Alyssa. A growl coming forth from his voice box, Monty snatched up the two bullies by their hoods. "I've about had it with you two," he snarled over their cries and whimpers, "Consider yourselves lucky that I'm a nice gator."
"May we be of assistance?" a security bot asked, rolling up with a companion. Handing the boys off to the robots, Monty rumbled, "Yes please. Get these two out of my sight and get them to the detained area. Make sure they're never able to come back into the Pizzaplex ever again." Billy and Tom's eyes widened in shock as they were dragged away. With that problem taken care of, the alligator animatronic kneeled down beside Alyssa as he asked quietly, "Ya alright kid?"
"Yeah... I'm okay... thank you... I can't find my cane though..." Alyssa stammered, feeling around on the floor. Looking around, a shudder passed through Monty when he spotted the cane nearby, snapped into three pieces. Placing a hand on Alyssa's shoulder, he rasped, "I'm sorry kid, it has seen better days." Trembling tremendously, the young teenager stuttered, "No no no, it can't be. I can't go anywhere without a cane! How am I supposed to walk back to town now?"
"You walked here?" Monty gasped, surprised, "That's about two or three miles! Your parents didn't bother driving you here?" Alyssa didn't respond, she only bowed her head in silent shame. Realizing what that meant, Monty kept his muzzle shut as he hummed to himself. Poor Alyssa, all alone and having to walk miles just to go anywhere, all while being blind. And now she didn't even have her cane to help her.
"Hey, Alyssa?" Monty rasped, tapping the teen on the shoulder with a gentle hand. When she lifted her head, he went on, "I think I may have a suitable replacement. Is it alright if I carry you?" Wiping her face, Alyssa mumbled, "Okay..." Helping the teenager up to her feet, Monty lifted her up like she weighed nothing, which technically she felt like it, and set her on his shoulders. "Hold on tight little one," the alligator whispered as he headed back towards his golf course.

"Finally... made it... to... Kids Cove..." Sundrop gasped for breath as he dragged himself to the area just outside of the daycare. He had a hard time trying to leave with all of the kids needing his attention. Thankfully, Moondrop figured an emergency nap time would work and it had. The Daycare Attendant had then been able to sneak out. However, they were too tired to search for Grace now. "Moon, I'm tapping out..." Sundrop mumbled before suddenly passing out on the floor. Stuck inside, Moon muttered, Well crap, nothing I can do with the lights on...
———
...okay, let's be real guys. DJ hasn't been able to find Grace in his area and it's not like he can freely roam all over the Pizzaplex when there are still people inside. I don't think he can even leave the dance floor except through the back door that leads outside. So this whole time he's been partying hard in his little zone.
