Chapter 17

"Sunny, can you hear me?" Moondrop asked softly. The celestial themed animatronic was sitting crisscross applesauce on the floor of their hidden room. Not hearing a response, the moon robot continued, "Look dude, I know you're in there. You can't just hide inside me forever. One way or another you're gonna have to come out. I can't watch over the kids by myself, I'll lose it!"

But that rule breaker, he ruined everything. He turned off the lights and put everyone in jeopardy, Sundrop's quiet voice whimpered. Sighing softly, Moondrop propped his head up with one hand as he replied, "I know, I know. My fault for getting my systems getting taken over by the creepy bunny. And you had a smart idea turning on the lights. But you're gonna have to face the kid soon. Everyone actually. They're all worried about you."

No they're not, Sundrop grumbled. Rolling his red eyes, Moondrop growled, "Yes they are. They want to help you, for crying out loud. I know what the kid did with the lights was wrong and it really messed us both up. But we need to learn to let go of the past. Come on man, what do you say?" When no response came, Moondrop huffed and stood up exclaiming, "You know what, if you wanna be a crybaby fine! I can take care of the kids myself you stubborn little-"

"Gregory, I doubt that's a good song to play right now," Freddy's voice rumbled from beyond the hidden room. The Daycare Attendant stopped and listened as Gregory piped up, "Well what song do you suggest then?" A moment later, Freddy answered, "Ooh I got it. I remember the kids showed them this song and they both loved it." There was some shuffling around before a radio began playing music.

As soon as they heard the first notes, the Daycare Attendant immediately recognized the song. Moon, no, Sundrop ordered. His foot already tapping to the beat, Moondrop shrugged his shoulders as he replied, "I'm sorry Sunny, you know I like this song." He was already walking over to the entrance as Sundrop started screaming inside, Moon no! I should've never showed you this song! I forbid you from-

"I should move cuz New York is getting muddy out," Moondrop sang, poking his head out from behind the curtains that hid the hidden room. Sundrop could only silently grumble, he was too late. His other half continued on, "There's LA, but it's always kinda sunny out and I don't wanna hurt no more, so I set my bar real low. I'm a okay, I'm a okay."

"You say it but you just don't mean it," Freddy joined in. The bear animatronic held a radio over his head. Standing next to the robot, Gregory went on, "You're so insane, you're so insane. Just shut up and enjoy this feeling!" Stepping closer to the point where he was below the hidden room's balcony, the child sang softly, "Don't you love it, don't you love it? No, I ain't happy yet. But I'm way less sad. Don't you love it, don't you love it? No, I ain't happy yet. But I'm way less sad!" With that, he turned on the lights.

One moment, Moondrop had been vibing to the music as it gained volume. The next moment, Sundrop appeared in his place. Watching from the balcony on the second floor, Roxy and Chica cheered enthusiastically while Vanessa was shaking her head in embarrassment. Grace was dancing beside them. Down on the bottom floor, Gregory and Freddy seemed delighted that their plan might've actually worked as they sang, "But I'm way less sad! But I'm way less sad!"

"I wake up and I'm not so mad at Twitter now. Living sucks but it's sucking just a little now," Sundrop grumbled, crossing his arms. Hopping down from the balcony, he continued singing, "And I don't wanna cry no more, so I set my bar real low." He then turned off the lights to everyone's surprise. Back as Moondrop, he attempted to walk away as he sang, "I'm a okay, I'm a okay."

"You say it but you just don't mean it," Chica cried, jumping down from the second floor. Startled, Moondrop backed up right into Roxy. Grabbing him, the wolf howled, "You're so insane, you're so insane." Heading over to the light switch and flicking them on, Freddy declared, "Shut up and just enjoy this feeling!"

"Don't you love it, don't you love it? No, I ain't happy yet! But I'm way less sad! Don't you love it, don't you love it? No, I ain't happy yet! But I'm way less sad!" all three Glamrocks sang together, "I may be wrong, I may be wrong. It's stupid but it's all I have! Don't you love it, don't you love it? No, I ain't happy yet! But I'm way less sad!" As they sang, Gregory danced around happily. Up above, Vanessa was too preoccupied looking for Grace who had wandered off. No one realized the Daycare Attendant had snuck off until the lights switched off.

Everyone went dead quiet as they looked over at the light switch. Standing there, Moondrop could only give everyone a disappointed shrug before he walked away. Clearly the plan wasn't working out as well as they hoped. But then there was a small crash, followed by a giggle. Upon investigation, the group discovered that Grace had knocked over the barrels.

Calmly walking over to the mess, Moondrop picked up Grace. Everyone watched, holding their breath as they waited to see what would happen. But then they heard someone singing. It took a moment for them to realize it was the Daycare Attendant. Both Sundrop and Moondrop were singing at the same time, "Well, I can't fall asleep and I'm losing my mind, cuz it's half past three and my brain's on fire. I've been counting sheep but the sheep all died. And I'm trying too hard but I can't not try."

"Well, I can't fall asleep and I'm losing my mind, cuz it's half past three and my brain's on fire," Gregory sang softly, cautiously approaching the Daycare Attendant. Still holding Grace, Moondrop turned towards the young boy. Gently taking a hold of the celestial themed animatronic's arm, Gregory went on, "I've been counting sheep but the sheep all died."

"And I'm not dead yet, so I guess I'll be alright!" Sundrop's voice came through. Moondrop, who actually seemed delighted for a robot with the same permanent face, ran over to the switch and turned the lights on. The Daycare Attendant's head then gave a dramatic spin before Sundrop appeared with his arms outstretched. Excited, everyone burst out singing, "Don't you love it, don't you love it? No, I ain't happy yet! But I'm way less sad! Don't you love it, don't you love it? No, I ain't happy yet! But I'm way less sad! I may be wrong, I may be wrong! It's stupid but it's all I have! Don't you love it, don't you love it? No, I ain't happy yet! But I'm way less sad!"

As the song came to an end, Gregory felt himself being scooped up. Pulling both him and Grace into a warm hug, Sundrop mumbled, "Thank you kiddos, I needed this." Smiling, the young boy hugged the celestial themed animatronic back as he replied, "You're welcome Sundrop."

"Okay, great guys. But are we done here?" Vanessa called from above. Everyone looked up as the security guard continued, "Look, it's a few hours until morning, I need to do my job, you all need to sleep, I can hear Monty pounding on the floor upstairs probably telling us to shut up and frankly I don't wanna live in a musical."

"Musical?" Chica questioned, "Are we in a musical?" Biting her lip, Roxy murmured, "Oh I hope not."
