Sink or Swim
As I looked around to see I wasn't in my bedroom, I felt something next to me.
It was a flashlight.
I probably got to flash that down the halls.
I heard laughter again, and it was coming from the right hall. I shined my light, and there was a horrific version of Nightmare Fredbear.
His eyes red instead of sky blue, tattered body, and teeth on his stomach forming a second mouth.
He snarled at me, and started marching forward, but I closed the door so hard, I think my arm might've as well flew out of its socket. He started banging on the door, but I grabbed a toy broom and jammed the door.
The banging stopped, and suddenly the closet door moved. Suddenly his head was staring at me, and I quickly leaped to the door and slammed it shut. As I turned around, he was standing there, looking straight at me. He kicked me against the wall, and he did it with such force I thought my spine cracked.
I managed to get up and run into the left hall, only to fall again and slap my leg on a shelf. I grabbed the flashlight, and Fredbear was right behind me, getting closer.
"Go away! You aren't real!" I yelled, trying to get up.
"I assure you, I am very real, Max." he replied.
I managed to get up and start running, but I fell down, due to my leg.
"You have nowhere to run, and nowhere to hide. You can't escape fear, Max." he snarled.
He grabbed me again, and this time, put one of his massive claws straight through my stomach.
He pulled it out, and there was blood.
He dropped me, and I wrapped my arm around my wound.
I should be dead, but I'm not.
I couldn't call for help, all that came out was my strained voice.
I had lost so much, my arm was nearly covered in red.
Fredbear came closer, and kneeled down, his giant monster head about a foot from my face.
"Child, fear is something you can't escape. Surely you have been taught that lesson." he said.
"We all have fears, old bear. You remember your old self? You were so happy, but you never revealed to anyone you were a nightmare, not even Spring Bonnie. She misses you, Fredbear. Before you shut down, I loved going to your place. I wanted to spend every minute of every day with you, pal." I groaned.
"Shut it." he hit me again, making a scar across my arm. "I'm not the real Fredbear. I am simply his better counterpart." he said, all the Nightmares appearing around him.
I black out, and I end up on the floor still, a little blood puddle next to me. All the nightmares were gone, but a black bear was in front of me.
I looked up, and there was a black and red bear, a star on its chest. It seemed to only have one eye, as the other one was completely black.
"Sssshhhhh. It'll all be over soon..." it whispered, kneeling down. It brings its fist to me, but I pass out from blood loss before it can knock me out.
I wake up again, this time at Fazbear's. I'm on the parts and service table, and when I look at my stomach, the wound is patched.
I sit up, rubbing my head, and go outside into the party room.
I see Freddy, Bonnie, Chica, and Foxy all on the stage, with the black bear who whispered to me.
"He was unconscious, from blood loss. Freddy, please. The child was about to die." It whispered again.
"You couldn't protect him! We sent you for a reason, puppet! Instead you went and got yourself captured." Freddy yelled.
"The puppet?" I asked.
They all suddenly turned around, surprised.
"Max! You're okay!" Bonnie yells.
"Yeah, I guess. What happened?" I asked.
"The Nightmares had you cornered, left you in that house to die. Freddy sent me to help, but I was interrupted." The black bear whispered.
"Ye lads were in the news as well." Foxy said, holding up a remote. He turned on the TV on the wall, and a news report came on.
"We have received news from a witness to see a black robot bear carrying a child's corpse into a pizzeria." the anchor said.
"That's weird." I say.
"Ye bet it is. You win some, ya lose some." Foxy said.
All of sudden, all six Nightmare animatronics appeared out of black smoke.
"Puppet! How dare you help that child." Nightmare snapped.
"He was dying, Nightmare." The puppet responded, talking this time.
"Very well. Nightmares, slaughter these spirits!" Nightmare yelled.
The battle was not pretty. Each animatronic was fighting their own counterpart, everyone except Nightmare, who stared at me.
"You shall pay, child!" he screamed, and charged at me.
I evaded his charge, and grabbed a Endo arm and slapped him with it.
"Gah! Who knew metal hurt so much?" Nightmare asked.
I ran out of the room and grabbed a nearby baseball bat. As Nightmare came out of the room, I hit him with it, and sent him sprawling to the ground. I jabbed the bat into his chest, and I think I found his weak spot.
He screamed, but I kept hitting him with the bat.
His eyes deactivated, and all the others did as well.
"Laddie, you did it!" Foxy exclaimed.
"Nice job, kid. Didn't think you could've beaten Nightmare." Freddy said.
"Congratulations, Max. You have extinguished Nightmare and his friends." The puppet said.
I was about to speak when a high pitched ringing pierced my ears, as well as the animatronics.
I fell to the ground and covered my ears, before I passed out.
I woke up and looked around, seeing tables everywhere, like some sort of party room. I stood up and started walking around, when a hand pushed me to the ground.
I put my hands in front of me and did a somersault and whizzed around to see my attacker. It was Bonnie, but how he was when he was replaced. His face was missing, as well as his arm.
"Bonnie? Why do I keep teleporting?" I asked, standing up.
He tilted his head and looked at me with his red eyes.
"Why do you keep teleporting? Max, you've been here for about a day now. Your family must be worried." Freddy said, coming around the corner.
"Oh no. I passed out at the new pizzeria?" I asked. They both nodded, and I quickly said bye and dashed out the door.
I arrived at my house, and I knew I couldn't go in the front door, because my parents would yell at me. I climbed up a tree and jumped onto my window ledge, and opened the door and slid inside. I arrived inside, but didn't hear my parents. I opened the door, and I heard the rocking chair in the living room creak.
I went down the stairs, to find Nightmare in the chair, with my baby brother in his arms.
"Hello, Max. I've seen your fate. It begins here." he said softly.
I didn't care for this crap.
"Let my brother go!" I yell.
"I will, once you give me what I want." Nightmare said back. "Give me Fredbear. I'm giving you 48 hours. If Fredbear isn't in my possession by Friday night, your family is mine!" he yelled.
He teleported me the Fredbear's Family Diner, and gave me one last warning.
"Get me Fredbear. If you fail, you and your pathetic family will be ours, forever, haunted by your worst fears." he said.
I entered the pizzeria, to find Spring Bonnie sitting on the stage, against the wall. She had her hands on her face, and it seemed like she was crying.
"Spring Bonnie? You ok?" I asked.
"I'm fine. Fredbear isn't though. Max, we have to help him." she said.
I helped her up, and I went into the parts and service room, to find a horrifying sight.
