Familiar Faces
As I arrived at the house with the puppet, it looked around to make sure no one was following us.
I was about to open the door, but the puppet stopped me.
"I don't want to disturb your family. Let's go through your window." It says.
"How do we get up there?" I ask.
It suddenly holds out its arm, and I float up the the window. It hovers up after me.
"Like that."
I open the window and jump in, and I look at my watch.
"It's nearly twelve in the morning. We should get to my sisters room." I say.
I open the door, and Sophie is there, shining her light.
"Sophie, this is the puppet. They're gonna help you get rid of the blue puppet." I say.
The puppet floats over the Sophie, and holds out its hand.
"Pleased to meet you, Sophie. I hear you are a bright spirit." It says.
"Hello. So you're gonna help me stop that thing?" Sophie asks, taking the puppets hand.
"That is correct. Where is it?" The puppet asks.
Sophie pointed to her closet, and the puppet floated over.
"Vinnie, I know you are in there. Come out and we'll settle this." The puppet says.
The door suddenly opens, and Vinnie in his Nightmare form pops out.
"She did this to me. We must kill her." he says.
"No we don't. Max, Sophie, it's been a pleasure. I'll see you again. For now, Vinnie,
it's time to go."
The puppet suddenly disappears, along with Vinnie, and the clock warps to 9 am.
"That was weird. Anyways, let's get up! I'm hungry!" Sophie exclaims.
"I'll be down after you, hang on." I say.
As she leaves, I was about to go over and inspect the tape player, but something grabbed my leg.
It was cold and metallic, and it had a iron grip.
I tried to get it off, but it only tightened.
I got down and looked under the bed, and there was the rat thing, staring straight into my soul.
"Nowhere to run, pal." It says.
"What about from this?" I ask.
I grab the flashlight and shine it's eyes.
It screeches and warps away.
I go downstairs and eat, then step onto the porch.
It felt good out there. The air felt good, and there was barely any wind.
I go the the bottom of the driveway and grab the news, and go back inside.
As I open it up and place it in my dads sport, something on it catches my eye.
I look back at it, and it has Freddy and his friends in the front picture, but they all look rebooted and remade. There was a caption beneath it that read "Grand Reopening!"
"Hey, Dad? What is this?" I ask.
"Freddy's has a reopening. Figured we'd go there to catch up on old memories. You remember Freddy and his friends right?" my dad responded from the couch.
"Yeah, of course I do." I moan, rolling my eyes.
"What's with the sarcasm, old sport?" he asked, turning around.
"Just, the place gives me the creeps. Especially since the missing children incident."
My dad nodded then turned back around.
I ate and then went outside, and started kicking the soccer ball around.
A few hours later my dad called from the window that it was time to go to Freddy's.
As we got into the car, I got a notifier on my phone from an unknown number.
"I'm watching you, kid." It read.
I looked out the window, but no one was there.
As we arrived at Freddy's, the place looked bigger.
I opened the door, and the place was redesigned to look more modern.
When we sat down, a waiter gave us some water, and we started waiting for the pizza.
"This feels weird. To be back at Freddy's after two years, dad." I say.
"It does. But I missed this place. The pizza was the best." he said.
"Hey, Max? Why don't you take your little sister to the prize corner?" My mom suggested.
I shrugged, and helped Sophie up from her seat.
As I walked to the prize corner, Sophie suddenly left my side. I looked around and saw her next to a strange humanoid boy. He had a red and blue striped shirt, and a matching propeller hat, along with a sign that said balloons, and he had a balloon in another hand.
"Max! I got a balloon!" Sophie exclaimed, holding up a purple balloon.
"Nice choice of color." I say, smiling.
As we arrive at the prize corner, the clerk behind the desk comes up.
"Well, morning, kids! What can I get for ya?" he asks.
"Choose what ya want, Sophie. Not too big though."
"Can I have the Bonnie plushie?" she asks.
"Certainly!" The clerk says, reaching for the plushie.
"Thanks man. She's always wanted to be like Bonnie when she's grown up." I say.
"Don't worry, kid. She will be. She'll BE Bonnie." the clerk says, with a creepy grin on his face.
I walk away, thinking about what he said.
As I sat down, I realized I haven't looked at the animatronics.
As I turned my head toward them, it was the toy versions of them. Plastic, blush cheeks, and the sleek plastic on them.
Near the end of the day, I used the bathroom, then heard a high pitched scream.
I looked to my right, and the parts and service door was open. As I ran in, I saw a yellow Bonnie suit, holding a knife, standing tall over my little sister, who was crouched in the corner, her Bonnie plush in her hands.
She looked at me, then I held my finger over my mouth, gesturing her to keep quiet.
"Didn't you say you want to be like Bonnie, kid? Well, now you can! Just hold still!" The bunny yelled.
I creeped up behind him, then kicked his legs and he slid to the ground, on his back.
I took the mask off of him, then grabbed the knife and held it against his throat.
I realized it was the clerk from the prize corner.
"Don't move, 'clerk'. Or I'll slit your throat. Sophie, call the police." I say, tossing her my phone.
As she dialed, I held the knife against the guys throat, and it seemed like hours I was doing it.
"You sure are smart, kid. But are you fast?" he asked.
I was about to respond, but he turned around so fast, I didn't have time to react, took back the knife and stuck in through my torso.
I was shocked, and I stumbled backward, and fell against the wall, clutching my torso.
I looked up, and everything was fuzzy, losing its color.
The last thing I saw was the suit rising, the crouching down, and saying something.
"Let's see how you like being left alone."
I had passed out, from blood loss after that.
