Chapter 3

It was late at night, and Indigo then had, her dream, well more like a nightmare... She didn't wake up in a good mood on a Monday morning just because of that. Indigo felt scared, mad, annoyed... This however was a different dream. Not like the rest. Waking up, Indigo sat upright on her bed, arms and legs crossed, thinking... more like flashbacking, of her dream.

It was a few minutes later, still thinking. Finally, Indigo shrugged. Maybe later. She thought to herself as she stood up. Then Indigo hears a knock on the door. "Come in." Indigo mumbles as she sat down again. The door opened slowly. It was her father. When he came in he had the look different from yesterday, he seemed happy, but calm. Then he looked at Indigo, as if he knew what was going on. But, he didn't bother asking. Finally, after a few minutes of silence he spoke, "Good morning, Indigo. How are you?" Indigo felt like not speaking, but instead she mumbles, "Fine, just fine." Indigo lied. She wasn't feeling fine, at all. "Well, I just want to say bye to you. I have to work at my day shift." Work? Day shift? Indigo again thought to herself. Oh, I must've forgotten. He had a new job, he had to work tomorrow during the day. Suddenly, Indigo saw her father closing the door, slowly. "Wait!" she exclaimed. The door stopped closing and reopened again. "Yes?" Indigo stood up. "Is there a chance that I could come with you?"... After asking, her father opened the door wide and smiled. So did Indigo, as she was walking toward him. He grabbed Indigo by the shoulders as we both walked across the house, out the door.

It was a few minutes later, when Indigo and her father made it to their destination. As they walked toward the entrance, Indigo stopped. She looked up, staring, it was as if the building was towering over her, tempting her to come inside calling her name. It was when she had a flashback of her dream again... The year 1987... Souls... Killer... Indigo clutched her head, trying to get that horrible nightmare away. Finally, someone grabbed her hand, Indigo jumped. It was only her father, Harold, urging her to hurry up. Indigo finally got out of daydreaming and followed him into the restaurant. The sound of a doorbell echoed throughout the restaurant. Indigo and Harold walked slowly at the entrance, looking both ways each second they took a step. There were children and parents everywhere, but mostly children, playing and hanging around. Then another door opened on the side. There came out a man walking towards them, a little taller than Harold, and looked like in the early 40s. Finally he stopped, reaching out his hand, "You must be Harold, Harold..." "Yes, um, Harold Davidson." Harold quickly held out his hand and they both shook hands. "And this is my daughter, Indigo." Indigo said nothing. "Shy little girl is she." The man replied as he broke away from shaking hands from Harold... "My manners, my name is Fredrick Johnson. I am the restaurant's manager and head security guard." Frederick bows in a manner way. "Welcome to Freddy Fazbear's Pizza!" "Let me show you around, before we get started." The man then beckoned Harold and Indigo to follow him. "Here we have the Children's Area, this is where kids usually hang out, when they feel like it. See we have games..." Fredrick pointed to the right. "And entertainment." Then pointed to the left at the animatronics. Harold was silent and listen carefully to what the man said. Indigo hardly paid attention to the man. She still felt like something was wrong.

A couple rooms later they group finally get to a room labeled, "Employees Only". "It isn't much, but this would be your room Harold Davidson. This is where you would work on night shifts, but for now you work for day shifts in which you watch the children and animatronics." Frederick paused as Indigo's father looked into the room. It looked ragged, and it smelled a little. Well a room is a room. Indigo thought to herself as she move backward. "Alright then, since you know about this place, I can get the paperwork ready and tell you other information." Frederick eyed Harold saying that it is a private conversation. Harold then walked towards me, "(cough) Hey Indigo, why don't you play on one of the video games." Suddenly, Frederick stepped forward and handed Indigo a one dollar bill. "Here's a one dollar bill, Indigo. So you can play. Choose wisely before you waste it." Then Frederick pushed Indigo along, while him and her father walk into the main office. Indigo walks the opposite direction, slowly, dragging her feet.

Indigo finally made it to the Children's place. She looks to the left. There's the animatronics. Indigo thought to herself as she turned to the right. There's the games. Indigo took a step toward the games, then she turned around at the animatronics, squinting. There is something wrong here... I can just feel it. Then on the left of the animatronics she sees a purple curtain with an "Out of Order" sign. Hmmm. I wonder. She reaches out to grab it, but shakes her head, Maybe I should just leave everything there. Finally, Indigo found the games. She looks at each of them. BB's Air Adventure, Mangle's Quest, Stage 01, Happiest Day, Chica's Party. There is so much to choose from! Indigo clutches her one dollar bill, making sure that it was still in her hand. Suddenly, Indigo comes up to another video game labeled, Glitch Minigame. Glitch Minigame? Indigo asked herself as she walked towards it. There was a black screen with a blinking green light saying, "Insert money." with an arrow pointing down. Slowly, Indigo puts the one dollar in the slot. The game started, Indigo put my hands on the controllers. There was a short video on the screen. She sees the restaurant, four kids playing, the animatronics. Then there was another scene where a little boy was helping one of the animatronics all around the restaurant giving food to the other children, in return had smiles on their faces. Indigo also smiled. Suddenly, all the four children were in one room, together including the boy. In which then the bear turned out to be a man in the color of purple. Glitches were occurring, as the man each second killed every single child, blood oozed out from each children's bodies.. Then he turned to the boy, walking slowly toward him, finally killing him. The screen goes black. Indigo's eyes stared at the screen in horror. Quickly, Indigo turned towards the animatronics on the stage. She was breathing hard, very hard. What...What just happened. Indigo thought to herself as she swept off the sweat from her head. I'm sweating. How? Finally, another screen from the video game pops up. It was the instructions of the game, Indigo could tell from the writings. You're the puppet. Indigo read in her head from the screen. Quickly act fast before it's too late. Use the stick shift up, down, left, and right to operate the puppet. Use the puppet to bring the dead children back to life, in the animatronics suits. Don't worry, everything is gonna be alright. Without hesitation, Indigo grabs a hold of the stick shift tightly. The screen letters changed from white to red. It was counting down from ten. Indigo felt sweat rolling down my face. I must help these kids. Indigo says to herself as her face was in concentration mode. 7,... 6,... 5,... 4,... 3,... 2,... 1,... GO! The game changed screens, but was a little blurry. Still, Indigo had to concentrate. Indigo moved left, so did the puppet. She went to one of the dead child's body, there came a head. Indigo went down to the next child, there then was a head. Then she moved the puppet to the next two children and was replaced by an animatronic head. Then over and over Indigo moved the puppet with the shift stick in which then the children got a body, and legs and feet. A few more seconds later Indigo was almost done. C'mon hurry up. Just one more body piece to go for the last child. Even though the puppet in the game was slow Indigo still didn't give up. I ain't givin' up. I ain't givin' up. She said to herself on and on. Finally, there was the child, it was the boy. The kind boy who helped the animatronics. Indigo finally reached in which placed the legs and feet of the animatronic parts to the boy. You Won! You've saved the dead children. The screen said as Indigo jumped for joy. "Yes! Yes! I did it! I did it!" she exclaimed. "I won! I won!" "Congrats." said a voice behind her. Startled, Indigo turns. There stood a boy, he looked the same age as Indigo was, a little taller though. "Congrats on your win, I've heard that no one here in this place beaten that game. So everyone quit and stopped playing that game." Who is this boy? Is he some kind of expert around here. Should I be talking to this stranger? "By the way, Thomas Hutcheson, but people call me by Tommy." Tommy held out his hand as if he wanted to shake hands with Indigo. But she refused. "Shy, aren't you." Tommy replied as he took a sip from his soda and shrugged. "That's usually what people are. It's like they're talking to a stranger, that you have no idea of. But to children, that's ridiculous." Then he crossed his arms. Indigo kind of felt bad for him, so she walked slowly toward him. "Sorry, my mother tells me to never talk to strangers." Tommy then put his head up and began to stand up and shrugs once more. "It's fine. And sorry for raising my voice and being rude towards you." Indigo shrugged, it wasn't really a big deal. "Forgive me of my manners, I'm Indigo Davidson. My father, Harold Davidson is having a job here as a security guard and brought me along with him." The conversation pauses as Tommy looked at Indigo as if he understood, then speaks, "Then you must've met my uncle." "Your uncle?" "Yes, indeed, he is the manager and head security guard of the whole entire place." Indigo looks around, amazed. "You're joking." She said as she puts her hands on her hips. "Nope, not even a soul." Tommy replied and smiled. "C'mon let me show you around." "Oh. I already been shown around the place. No thank you, though, but thanks for asking." Turned around, Indigo felt bad for her answer. Indigo shouldn't say no to Tommy. She thought that she might've hurt his feelings. Indigo turns back around towards Tommy. She sees his face as if it was full of pain and a little bit of anger, "Hey I didn't mean that you are a bad person, it's just that your uncle showed me around Freddy Fazbear's Pi..." Tommy held his hand up for silence. Their conversation pauses, a few seconds later Tommy spoke, his face facing the ground, "Did he show you,... everything?" He asked as he rose his head and glares his eyes at Indigo with a grin. "Wait there's more?" Indigo asked impatiently as she clenched her fists. "Oh wait, don't tell me that he hasn't shown you everything?" Should I continue? At the same time I feel as if that I should go, but yet again it's wrong. Indigo takes a deep breath. "Okay fine. I'll go with you. But on one condition, I blame you for this if we both get in trouble for this." Indigo glares at Tommy, then smiled. "Wait here though, let me go ask my father." Indigo quickly ran from Tommy to the main office.

When Indigo made it to the office, she stopped and took a breather, from running. Indigo then knocked on the door. Not a sound. A few seconds later, she knocks again. Something opened the door. "Who is it?!" a voice from the other side called. "Can't you see that I...!" It was Frederick. "Sorry, I didn't know that you were here, Indi..." "Indigo?" another voice wondered. It was Indigo's father, Indigo could recognized his voice as he walked towards the doorway. "What are you doing here? I told you that I would get you later." "Sorry Father, really. I just came to ask you a question." Indigo complained as she put her hands on her hips, finally Indigo got over it. "Can I explore the restaurant?" "You already did." "But with a guy named Tom..." "Tommy?" Frederick bugged in. "Oh, it seems that you have met my nephew. Isn't he pleasant?" He can be. Indigo thought to herself. "So can I or not Father." Indigo's father pauses, Frederick playfully slaps him on the back. "C'mon Harold, let Indigo explore with my nephew. I am sure they will be fine." Indigo had to agree with Frederick on this one only, like this is about Indigo's first friend so far since she moved here about a year ago. Indigo's father sighs and replies, "Fine, but stay out of trouble." Indigo smiled at him and gave him a hug. Letting go, Indigo quickly ran towards the Children's Area, "See you later Father!".

Finally, Indigo came and met up with Tommy. She smiled and he nods as if he already knew what the answer was she was about to answer. "Follow me." was the words he said several times as he held Indigo's hand leading her away from the Children's Area. They both crossed hallway after hallway, it got darker and darker. Indigo was kind of scared, but felt comfortable since Tommy was here, holding her hand. As, Tommy led Indigo into the other side of the restaurant. He finally stopped, and so did she, then he lets go of Indigo's hand. As he took another sip of his soda, he looked up. "This is the basement..." Turning around he faced toward Indigo. "Did my uncle show this to you?" Tommy asked. Indigo shook her head and also looked at the door. "Well, this is it." Finally, turning towards the door, Tommy opens the door. All Indigo saw was a dark room, Tommy walks in first and she follows. He uses his hand to turn on the light switch on the side of the wall. There was light in the basement, now Indigo could see the room clearly, there were stairs going down deep, pretty deep. "Watch your step." Tommy's voice echoes throughout the basement. "Shhhh Tommy... Hey, I don't think this is a good i..." "Are you scared?" Tommy questioned as he turned towards Indigo. "No, of course I'm not scared, like I have done things way scary than this." Indigo lied. She was definitely scared, chills were running down her spine constantly. Indigo clutched her fingers on the railings as she made it down the stairs behind Tommy. "Do you want me to show you something cool?" he asked as he turned right towards a door. "Sure, I suppose since we are down here in this basement."... It seemed that Tommy ignored Indigo because he had already opened the door. Again, all Indigo saw through the door was darkness. Finally, Tommy went in. "Tommy?" No answer. "Hey Tommy?! Are you there?" Again, no answer. Indigo was scared, very scared. She didn't want to go in there at all, but at the same time she kind of wanted to. It's like her conscience arguing and whispering to her back and forth, "Go in there, Indigo. Don't be scaredy-cat." or "Don't listen. You shouldn't go in there, it might be dangerous, you could get hurt or something bad." Indigo waited a couple of minutes later, nothing happened. She was just about to walk off until she heard something running towards her way. Finally, something jumped at her, Indigo screamed so loud, that her heart skips a couple of beats, she quickly dodges it. Finally, another figure walks out of the darkness. Thank goodness, it's just Tommy. Indigo started to calm down. Suddenly, Indigo walks towards him and shoved him in a friendly way. "Where were you?! You can't just leave me here in this forsaken basement!" Tommy rubs his head as if he was giving an apology. Finally, Indigo calmed down. Turning around, Indigo saw a torn out animatronic suit. It looked a bunny, but it was torn out, really badly. "What is this?" Indigo questioned. Tommy walks forward. "It's another animatronic suit that I found and hid. Its name was Spring Bonnie." "What would another animatronic do down here?" Tommy shrugged, so did Indigo. This was mysterious, very mysterious. Finally looking at it again, Indigo saw its eyes, its dark and holy round-shaped eyes. Suddenly, the flashback of the dream came back once more, Indigo put both of her hands on her forehead and over her eyes. Then she felt in pain, in very much pain. Suddenly, Indigo accidentally tripped on the staircase and fell down... everything was black. It was a few minutes later, Tommy ran toward Indigo's need, holding Indigo and shaking her vigorously. "Indigo! Indigo Davidson! Are you alright?!"... Finally, the nightmare was over. Indigo took her hands off from her face, breathing hard. "Sorry." Indigo whispered so only Tommy could hear. "It was just a nightm... "You scared me?! How was I..." Tommy said uncontrollably. "Sorry." Indigo replied as he helped her up. Indigo stood up then, a little dizzy, but fine. "So, are we even?" Tommy looks over still frightened, but calmer and nods. "Let's get out of here." Indigo said. Finally, Indigo looked ahead of herself, eyes with horror, finally Indigo knew that the nightmare was over and that she didn't have to worry... probably. "But first, let's get that thing out of my sight."
