Chapter 13

It has been a few weeks later, and Indigo felt really bad, and she looked a little bit pale... She couldn't somehow stand up straight, nor walk correctly. And somehow felt like that she was going to explode. So then later, her mother checked Indigo's temperature and then puts her hand on her own forehead and her daughter's... "Holy cow Indigo!!!! You are burning up a fever!!!! 102 degrees even!!!!" Indigo's mother exclaimed as she stood up. "Here stay in bed... sorry but today you need to stay home, no going out today." And with that, Indigo's mother exits the bedroom. Dang it! Indigo thought to herself as she sadly obeyed her mother's stern voice and laid back in bed. But it was true, she definitely had a high, very high fever. But Indigo didn't feel like sleeping anyway, she was fully awake already. But somehow Indigo couldn't move at all, as if her mother stranded Indigo onto her bed with duck tape to keep her from leaving the house. Indigo then growled and groaned, she didn't want to stay in bed the whole day! Suddenly, there was a knock at Indigo's bedroom door... "Come in." Indigo mumbled as she pulled the covers onto her body, until only her nose and eyes were visible. The door then opened, and Indigo's father stepped through the room and closed the door behind him. There was silence then, no one moved and no one spoke a word... just silence.

It was a few minutes later, when Indigo's father was then first to speak, but was more like a pause, "So..... ummmmm." he said as she then took a few steps closer. "Sorry about a few weeks ago Indigo..." Indigo then didn't respond, but did still stared at her father, but more like glaring at him. So with that there were still silence in the room, until then Indigo's father checked his watch. "Gosh darn it! Forgot about the time, well then see ya later Indigo... and hope you feel well." And with that Indigo's father left the room and exited out the house. Still Indigo didn't say anything... Indigo then grunted as she then got up once more and went towards her window. She opened the blinds, and looks outside. She sees her father out and getting into his truck, and driving away. Indigo then sighs, Goodbye,... Father.

It was then a few hours later, and Indigo was definitely bored... she couldn't go outside or nothing, except stay in the house and do whatever, taking medicine and eating chicken noodle soup. Indigo then growled, Ugh, I am so darn bored. I wanna get out of here. Suddenly, there was a knock on the door. "Hey Indigo sweetie, I'm off to work. Ummm there is some leftovers from last night if you want some, and ummmmm, don't open door for people that you don't know, okay?" Indigo's mother exclaimed, but Indigo kept silent. "Uhhhhhh okay then, well then see you around 5:00!!! Love you!!!" And with that, Indigo's mother went out the door... Indigo then at first wondered why her mother was leaving Indigo to the house all by herself. And finally she remembered.

It was a few days ago, and everyone was in the house and all relaxed. Suddenly, there was a squeal of delight from the kitchen. Indigo and her father then turned as they both and rushed over towards the sound. "Hey what's going on,... is this an emergency or something?!" Indigo's father panicked as a drop of sweat rolled down his face. Indigo didn't say anything, but had a troubled look on her face. "Oh... ummm sorry it's not an emergency..." Indigo's mother replied as she then smiled a little. And with that, both Indigo and her father drew out a sigh. "Sorry guys for making you scared... ummm, but there is something that I got that made me jump in joy though!" Then with that Indigo's mother handed her husband a white envelope, but instead of opening it, he looks at his wife. "What's with the white envelope?" He asked patiently as he moved around the envelope with his hands. "Oh sorry!" She exclaimed "Guess what!... I got a new job!!!" And with the word job popped into Indigo's mind she jumped. But somehow and somewhat she still stood quiet, just standing there... But for her father, he just quickly ripped the envelope to then find a white piece of paper. It was a couple minutes later, when Indigo's father finally read --more like scanning, and barely reading-- the letter. He then looked up, and so does Indigo, they both stared at Indigo's mother. And then with that Indigo's mother sighed... "Yeah, I got a job as a waitress, at this diner about several blocks ahead... past your Fazbear's Pizza, Harold." Indigo's mother then paused as she leaned herself at the edge of the kitchen table. Again it was quiet in the house, finally Indigo walks forward, and she whispers to her mother, "Congrats on your job Mother." And with that, Indigo then walked slowly out the door of the back of the house. And there she went... Grrrrr, Indigo thought to herself as she stomped on the earthy ground and folded her arms. Why does my family ALWAYS get these kind of jobs... But suddenly she then somewhat smiled later, Well at least now she has a job... now that she can get out of the house and help with the money. Indigo then looks up and scans the sky, still smiling, then finally she laughs. Hopefully THIS job won't go wrong as Dad's...
