Chapter 11

It was two in the afternoon and Indigo got back from the grocery store. "Hello?" she called as she put the grocery bags on the counter tables in the kitchen. "Hello?" A voice replied as it came out the hallway, it was Indigo's mother. Then Indigo's father came through the door, "Oh good, you guys came back. Just put the bags on the counter. I'll help you clear the things off." And with that, Margaret did as she said she would.

With all the groceries put away, Indigo and her father sat on the couch. They both sighed, as slumped. Finally, Indigo's father turns on the TV, and at the same time, the house telephone rang. "I'll get it!" Indigo called and jumped up and jogged towards it. As she made it, Indigo answered it. "Hello?"...... "Yes, he's here Frederick." "Is that Frederick on the phone?" Indigo's mother bugged in as she turns around calling her husband. "Is Tommy there?" Indigo then asked as she crossed her fingers on her hand. There was a pause. "I'm not really sure, he hasn't called me, like he usually does. But, yeah, I really ain't sure he's here. I'll give him a call if you like." "Sure, thank you." "No problem. May I speak to your father Indigo?" Frederick then asked. "Alright then." And then Indigo handed the phone to her father, in which was still on the couch watching TV.

The conversation then lasted about an hour before Indigo's father hanged up the phone... Finally, the conversation came to a conclusion. And he had a different facial expression as he walk to take the phone back on its receiver to charge. He looked relaxed, but depressed. He then looked at his wife, then looked away. Then Indigo's mother puts her hands over her mouth, as if she knew what he was talking about. What happened on that conversation? Indigo thought to herself as she walked over to Harold. But instead of asking, she gave him a hug. Then she walked away. What is really going on? Is this how it is supposed to be? Our family is tearing apart. I need to stop this, stop this now. Before it's too late. I need to act fast. If this breaks apart, then all I have left is,... Indigo pauses and gasps. Tommy! Indigo then looks out the window. Oh God, please don't let this end this way...

Indigo then walks into her room and sits on her bed. She really didn't know what to do really, she didn't feel like watching TV, playing outside (even though it was cold), or even going to Freddy Fazbear's Pizza. Indigo shrugs as she decided to sketch. Indigo herself was an okay artist, but other people at her old school thought that she was amazing, and wished that they had her talent. Indigo thought for a moment, as she puts the tip of the pencil on the paper. Well, the best thing that she can draw was people and animals. So she decided to draw a girl looking through a window. Indigo's face lit up, as she started to draw. There was the girl, a little younger than Indigo, in which is what she wanted. She was looking through the window with the curtain pulled to the side. Indigo loved it and decided to leave it like that. Finally, with the drawing completed, Indigo sets it on her bed and walks out of her room. What time is it? Indigo asked herself as she found herself in the living room. 2:45, Father should be getting home by now. He said that he would be working shorter than he's used to. Indigo thought to herself. Suddenly, the telephone rang. Before anyone call for it, Indigo got the phone first. She answered it, "Hello?" "You needed me?" the other voice replied. Indigo was concerned, who was this person on the phone, she couldn't recognize the voice. "Who's this?" she asked as she brought the phone closer toward her ear. "Don't you know, you said that you 'needed me'." Indigo was then a little frustrated then, she didn't want to deal with this, really. So Indigo took a deep breath to control her nerves. "If I said that I 'needed you' then who are you." "Do you recognize the voice Indigo? Wait, is Indigo on the phone, is this Indigo?" Indigo was then surprised, of how the other voice on the phone knew her name. Indigo then shaked her head, This must be a game or something. And now, I have to answer. Once more, Indigo took a deep breath, "Is... Is this... Is this Tommy? Thomas Hutchinson?" "Ding! Ding! Ding! Ding! We have a winner!" Tommy said as she finally stopped, there was silence. Finally, Indigo smiled, "Hey. Tommy." "Hey Indigo. How are you?" asked Tommy "I'm fine, just fine." Indigo replied. She couldn't believe it. It was Tommy! Indigo started to blush a little. "So that was you meant, 'you needed me'." "Yep, and good thing you answered it correctly." "Oh, about the, 'you needed me' phrase, I was just wondering if you were there or not." "Well now you got your answer." "So you are there?" "What do you think the reason I called you for." Tommy snapped a little. "Sorry." Indigo rolled her eyes. Good thing he doesn't see this. Indigo thought to herself as she sat down on a wooden chair. However, she was still glad to hear him on the phone. "Never mind about that." Indigo then shifted herself to look at the time, then shifted back so that her side of her body was leaning against the wall. She sighed, "Are you okay?" Tommy asked, "I'm fine." "So, how are you doing on figuring your 'puzzle'." he whispered. Indigo giggled a little and shook her head. "Not even close." There was a pause, finally, Indigo heard a car door slam shut, and saw a figure walking towards the door. "Hey, Tommy can I get back to you? My father is here."... "Already? Well then, see ya later sometime." "You too." Suddenly, Indigo started to blush a little.

That ended the conversation then, and Indigo puts the phone back on its receiver. The door finally opens, Indigo then turns around to see who it was, she smiled. "Hello Father." Indigo called as she ran toward him to give him a hug. Indigo's father then returned the hug, and then walked over towards the kitchen counter to set his things down. Then there was another sound of a door being shut. It was just Indigo's mother, Indigo let's go of her father as she made her way toward his things, "I'll go and put these things in your room Father." Indigo said as she walked toward her parents' room. Indigo then looked back, toward her parents, they were once again silent. Indigo then quickly puts her father's stuff on his floor and quickly and quietly walks towards her parents, she then listens to them carefully. Again, there was silence. No one and nothing said or moved. Indigo didn't really want to hide anymore and decided to go into the room. She looked up at both of her parents, she saw worriness in their eyes as they both looked down in sorrow. Finally, Indigo spoke, "What's wrong Father?" There was no answer, then Indigo's mother walks forward. She was much better then the past few hours or so. Then Indigo's father looks up at her, as his wife nods and a tear rolls down her eye. So then Indigo's father takes a deep breath and then sighs, he bends down so he is at Indigo's height. "Indigo,..." "Indigo,..." Indigo then looks up at her father. Their was a little bit of concern then from her eyes. But she was serious. Finally, he spoke again, "I just got submitted to new job at Freddy Fazbear's Pizza... and... and, I'll be working as a night guard,... taking night shifts."
