Running out of Time

Harley started to hear footsteps coming down the hall, so she jolted back to reality, looking around the kitchen for a hiding place. She had been careful not to leave foot prints in the dust. She then realized she could hide in the pizza oven. It was big enough... Right? She bolted over and quickly jumped in, causing a puff of ash. A moment later, the lights went off as the movement sensor detected no movement. Just in time too. Foot steps hurriedly went past the door, she could hear them retreating while two more sets started coming down as well. One continued farther down the hall while the other slowed to a stop outside the kitchen door. Slowly the door creaked open and the lights flickered on. Harley was suddenly able to see what she first thought was burnt up pizza. She had to bite back a scream. She was face to face with the mask to a empty, golden colored Freddy suit. It wasn't moving, yet the sight of it crashed waves of terror and horror into her unlike the animatronics. This suit meant something. She was snapped back to reality once again as metal footsteps slowly clanged against the ground. Pots and pans were shuffled nearby, as if someone was searching through them. She caught a peek of sunshine yellow and realized it was Chica. Her heart sank. She remembered the pizzas that they had been eating over at the Stage. Something told her Chica had cooked them. And if Chica didn't find her or leave, there was quite a good chance that Chica would light a fire to try to make more pizza... With roasted Harley on top. She made herself as small as possible against the Golden Freddy suit, thankful for the ash covering her body in soot and making her blend into the darkness of the oven. Chica slowly continued to pace the room when she suddenly stopped. That's when Harley heard the fridge open and a bag of dough being placed on the counter. She hadn't been wrong. Chica might actually accidentally cook her alive. She hoped Foxy would come to save her soon... Or maybe Bonnie... she suddenly felt her nose itch, as if she were about to sneeze...
Meanwhile, Foxy had passed the kitchen and instantly felt like he was going the wrong way. "Well, to hell with me!" He said in his thick pirate accent, but continued forward. Freddy would still be chasing him, so he would have to head in a full circle. Most likely Chica would be stopping in the kitchen, and might be making pizzas, if she hadn't caught Harley already. Foxy hoped she hadn't. But it was only hope. Maybe he could see what happened to Bonnie while he was running... He wasn't sure if he wanted to look. It could've been a horrible sight if he looked. He reached the security room and locked the door behind him while closing the other before diving under it as it closed, just barely making it. If there was enough power, it might hold Freddy long enough even if he made it through. He soon reached the Cove and was tempted to stop and just crawl inside. Forget about his worries. So what, a little girl with the rest of her life ahead of her was going to be killed? It wasn't his problem. Actually, it was her fault that Bonnie most likely took injury or even... He refused to think about that. Why did he care? Maybe Freddy would be a little nicer after this. But he did care. He cared because Harley did have her whole life ahead of her. She even deserved it. He didn't want her to end up like him. He wanted Harley to be his friend. He wanted her to be alright. He suddenly was able to move faster then before, as he stormed to the back stage area. He was almost to the door when he heard a crack of metal being broken, down the hall by the security room. He was almost out of time.
