I remember when my mom said that when I'm older, I could get everything. She would tell me everything. I really wanted to be a teenager, be in middle school, be older, be cooler. But now that I'm older, i know that it's NOT all that it seems to be. So for all you kids out there who lied about your age and got onto Wattpad who are reading this, please listen up!

First of all, you aren't much cooler. Being thirteen, I know that my age group seems to think that thirteen year olds are so swag. "We only just became teenagers, but we are still so cool. Like, bring out the Starbucks cups!!!!! OMG, being a teen is so cool!!!!" This is a thirteen year old. Unknowing of anything at all, thinking this is being a teenager.

But really, we all know that there's more to it than that. Starting from fourteen, you're in High School. That means deadlines, work, pressure, college, the SAT's, and just plain ol' stress. That's just the academic problems! There's the social and person problems too! Crushes, friendship problems, peer pressure, boyfriends, love, flirts, and crazy people. If you include out of school stuff like classes, studying, applying for colleges, and stuff like that, teenage times don't seem so nice or great or happy to me anymore! I mean, come on!

The only thing that's gonna keep me sane is my music, hobbies, alone time, and Wattpad! Which is probably why I love this app/website. No matter what, I always can come here and smile. Supportive people, great stories, and writing.... it's such a mood changer.

So point is, like Taylor Swift and Alessia Cara say in their songs 'Never Grow Up' (shown up there) and 'Seventeen' (Alessia Cara), getting older isn't all it's said to be. Being a little kid is fun. Just swinging on the swings, running around the playground, giggling and laughing with other little kids. Jumping on the bed (even if you get in trouble), sneaking candy & cookies, trick or treating.... those are the memories I'm not gonna get to live in just a couple years. So live your life for what you've got. You've only got one shot at this lifetime, so make it worth it.
