Has Marvel's beloved Captain America decided to retire so soon? Guess that's what happens when you've been living as a 'popsicle' for the past 70 years (get it?).

All jokes aside, it is revealed that Chris Evans (34), who plays Captain America/Steve Rogers in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, has just been casted as one of the lead roles in director Marc Webb's new movie, Gifted!
"It was a tough process for us because we wanted someone who could fully and beautifully embody this character and Chris [Evans] did such a wonderful job during his audition," says Webb. "We knew it in an instant that he was perfect for the role of Frank Adler."
Evans is said to star alongside Octavia Spencer (43) and Mckenna Grace (9) who will be portraying Roberta Taylor and Mary Adler respectively.

A source has also revealed that just days after actress Jenny Slate (33) was casted into the role of Bonnie Stevenson, Slate had to drop the role she was given due to scheduling issues.
Since then, actresseses Naomi Lindberg (29), Anna Kendrick (29) Alison Brie (32), Lizzy Caplan (33), Gemma Arterton (29), Kate Mara (32), and Felicity Jones (31) have been in talks of taking on the role that was originally given to Slate.
