Seokjin's Pov:
I don't even know when I fell asleep last night when I woke up, it was six in the morning, according to Alexa. Thankfully I had set my alarm because had I not, I would've still been sleeping. Waking up in the morning was not something I enjoyed doing. I much prefer to sleep in my bed until about noon. This is why I was always thankful for the weekends and the days when I didn't have school.
Searching my bed for my phone like I did every morning, hoping that it didn't fall onto the floor or behind the bed. I found it wrapped up into the blanket that was on one side of the bed. Looking at it, I see that I had several messages and a miss call from Taehyung.
I was a bit confused as to why he had texted me so many times and called me, but then I remember I was talking with him before going to sleep. Crap.
Message 1: I don't think the library is going to work. We need to talk to get our project done, and they are going to want to shut us up. I don't see a problem with us working on the project at either one of us home. Do you have a problem with it? Or is it your parents?
He then sent me another message fifteen minutes later.
Message 2: hello? Do you have any thoughts on this?
Twenty minutes later.
Message 3: Are you ignoring me? You do realize this is regarding our project, and I am not just texting you to text you, right?
I guess after the third text, he had gotten frustrated and tried calling me, which went unanswered as I had fallen asleep. The last text he sent stung a bit because, of course, I knew he was only writing to me because of the project we had to work on. However, I don't think he needed to highlight it.
I contemplated if I should text him back and explain that I had fallen asleep, but decided to wait until after I showered and had my breakfast. I didn't want to text him too early in the morning, we weren't friends, and I don't want him saying I woke him up from his sleep with my text. With that thought in mind, I put my phone on the charger and head off to the shower. I wish today was Friday already, my love for school was becoming more and more nonexistent.

I was sitting in class, working on my assignment that I failed to finish the night before for my next class. I had a habit of doing this, which was not always good. I began putting away my books when everyone starting piling in and talking amongst themselves. Jimin walked in and smiled at me before turning his attention back to the guy he had walked into the classroom with. I didn't know the guy's name he was talking to and I am pretty sure he didn't know mines either.
"oh, crap." I let out quietly when Taehyung walked into the classroom and glared at me, and I realize that I never texted him back. I became so focused on finishing my assignment that I didn't remember to respond to him.
He walked right over in my direction and took the seat beside me. Not knowing what to do, I reached into my bag and took out my notebook for class, putting my head down and began scribbling in it. I couldn't look at him, especially not when he was looking at me like I had done something to him.
"Good morning, class!"
oh, thank god!
Our teacher was here; I didn't have to worry about him asking me anything right now. I can always text him after class to let him know I didn't ignore him intentionally.
"I hope you have started communicating with your partner regarding your project. I would advise that you don't wait until the last minute to get your work done. If you are having an issue, please speak to me about it from early so we can work to resolve it. Now, if there are no problems, pair up with your partner and use this class time to work on your project."
What if my issue is that I want to change my partner, would she allow it? I don't think Taehyung's personality and mine are going to work together for this project; he is....how I would put this? I think he is demanding; I mean, I not sure if he is, but I think he is.
"Yes, Taehyung, do you have a question?" I lift my head to see Taehyung with his hand raised.
"I have a problem, Ms. Choi; as you know, I take great pride in doing my work, and I believe I have the highest average in your class and the entire school if I am not wrong. I want to do my best on this project, and I don't want my grade to fall because of it. However, I think my partner, who you have paired me up with, might cause me to get a lower grade than I am used to getting."
My mouth fell open; I couldn't believe he was saying this. Was he the smartest person in this school? No way he was, I mean, I know I wasn't the most intelligent, but I didn't exactly fail my classes. I did well too.
"Why do you think you will end up getting a low grade on this project, Taehyung? Kim Seokjin is second in this class; I don't think he will allow either of you to fail."
Thank you, Ms. Choi!
"Ms. Choi, I am not referencing Seokjin's ability to do the work which is required for the project. What I am concerned about is the fact that he is ignoring me and is not taking the initiative for us to begin working on this project. I had a tough time sleeping last night because I was worried about how we are going to get our project done if he keeps ignoring me. I alone can't work on this project as much as I would like to, because as you have stated, it requires teamwork, and I am trying to be a team player, but I don't believe Seokjin understands that. He even told me he would do the project on his own."
I couldn't believe him. All eyes were on me in the classroom. He was doing this because I didn't respond to his messages, did he not sleep last night? Was his school work that important to him, or was he trying to get out of working with me?
"I understand, Taehyung. However, I think there might be some misunderstanding which I am sure you and Seokjin can work out. If not, were you looking to change your partner?" Ms. Choi looked towards me and gave me an apologetic smile, which I found to be very weird. Or was she feeling sorry for Taehyung, I am not sure, I was horrible at reading people's emotions.
"I want to work with Seokjin. I would just appreciate it if he is more responsive and takes an interest in us working on this project together." So he doesn't want to get rid of me as his partner? What was the purpose of making a fuss then?
"Seokjin, can you please be more responsive to Taehyung and ensure you both work towards getting this project completed?"
"U-umm, yes, Ms. Choi."
Ms. Choi mouthed a "thank you" to me and turned to face Taehyung.
"Taehyung, does this make you feel better? Seokjin has agreed that he will be more responsive to you."
"I do, thank you, Ms. Choi, you are the best!"
Ms. Choi rolled her eyes at Taehyung and walked off back to her desk.
"Did you have to do that? I fell asleep; I wasn't ignoring you." I turned to Taehyung and whispered.
"You were sleeping this morning too? You could've said goodnight before falling asleep, had you done that, then I would've known you fell asleep. Instead, you left me talking to myself."
"Taehyung, I don't ever tell anyone goodnight before going to bed. I fall asleep when I am tired."
"I am not just anyone, and it's rude not to say goodnight to the person you were talking to, by the way."
Wait, I am confused, is he upset because I didn't say goodnight or is he upset because I didn't respond, which one is it?
"both, definitely both."
