Engagement Day...

Shehnaaz was getting ready in her room. The engagement was held at Shehnaaz's place. Everyone was busy welcoming the guest. Suddenly Shefali and Naina entered the room.

"Shehnaaz tu ready hogayi? Sidharth aur uski family aa chuki hai." Shefali said.

"Sacchi? Haaye mere se toh intezaar hi nahi ho raha. Aur kitni der lagega?" Shehnaaz asked the make-up artist.

"Bas thodi der aur Mam." The make-up artist replied.

After Shehnaaz's make-up was finished, she stood up. She was looking damn pretty.

"Wow! Kitni beautiful lag rahi hai tu Sana." Shefali said looking at Shehnaaz.

"Sidharth won't be able to take his eyes off you." Naina said.

Shehnaaz blushed.

"Dekh dekh kaise blush kar rahi hai." Shefali said.

"Abhi yeh sab rehne de naa. Accha humare music video ki puri team aa chuki hai na? Make sure that they feel comfortable."

"Don't worry. We will take care of them."

"Accha ek baat puchu?" Shehnaaz asked.

"Haan puch na." Shefali said.

"Tune kaha Sidharth aur uski family aa chuki hai. Sidharth kaisa dikh raha hai?"

"Bohut handsome. Tujhe paata hai saari ladkiyan usse hi dekh rahi hai." Shefali said.

" Sambhal ke Sana, kahi tera hone wala pati haath se na nikal jaaye." Naina said intentionally to tease her.

"Aisa ho hi nahi sakta. Sidharth sirf aur sirf mera hai. Main phad ke rakh dungi agar kisi aur ne usse dekha toh." Shehnaaz said.

"Okay okay phad dena but pehle tu neeche toh chal." Shefali said.

They were about to go, suddenly Shehnaaz's phone rang.

"Sidharth ka phone hai." Shehnaaz said.

"Kya? Zaldi utha." Shefali said.

Shehnaaz received the call and said, "Hello."

"Kaha hai aap meri hone wali Mrs. Shukla? Aap kahi nazar hi nahi aa rahi." Sidharth said.

"Main bas neeche aa hi rahi thi..."

"Neeche aane ki zaroorat nahi. Tu rooftop pe aa."

"Kyu? Engagement ceremony toh neeche garden mein hai."

"Haan lekin ek baar tu neeche chali gayi toh guests ka welcome karne mein busy ho jayegi. Phir mujhe hi tujhse baat karne ka mauka nahi milega. Isliye zaldi aa jaa, I'm waiting." Sidharth said.

"But Sidharth... Hello...."

The call ended.

"Kya kaha usne?" Shefali and Naina asked.

"Abhi rooftop mein bula raha hai. I don't know why." Shehnaaz said.

"Arrey woh akele time spend karna chahta hai tujhse. Tu jaa naa." Shefali said.

"Lekin engagement se pehle aise.... Accha nahi lagta. Sab log kya sochenge?"

"Hum sambhal lenge sab kuch. Waise bhi shaadi se pehle chup chup ke milne ka maza hi alag hai." Naina said.

"Thik hai but kisi ko paata nahi chalna chahiye." Shehnaaz said and left the room.

Shehnaaz went to the rooftop. There she found Sidharth. He was looking very much handsome.

Shehnaaz slowly came near him. Sidharth's mouth was open after seeing Shehnaaz's look.

"Kitni pretty lag rahi hai meri Shehnaaz. No doubt she is the most beautiful woman in this world. And I'm the luckiest man because I have her in my life. Bas aur kuch hi dino ki baat hai. Phir woh humesha humesha ke liye meri ho jayegi. She will be mine forever." Sidharth said in his mind.

"Kaisi lag rahi hoon main?" Shehnaaz asked.

"Haan?.."

"Kab se dekhe jaa raha hai. Baatayega bhi ki main kaisi lag rahi hoon?"

"Thik thak."

"Sidharth!" Shehnaaz shouted and slapped him slightly on his shoulder.

"Accha sorry sorry. You're looking beautiful. Maine kaha tha na, tu jo bhi pehnegi, bilkool princess dikhegi." Sidharth said.

"Thank you. Tu bhi kaafi accha dikh raha hai waise. Ab baata mujhe yaaha kyu bulaya?"

"Kyu ki engagement se pehle mujhe mera gift chahiye."

"Kaisa gift? Maine toh tere liye koi gift nahi kharida." Shehnaaz said innocently.

"Arrey main uss gift ki baat nahi kar raha hoon."

"Phir kaisa gift? Sidharth seedhe seedhe bol, mujhe kuch samajh nahi aa raha."

Sidharth pulled her closer by her hand and said, "Mujhe meri beautiful fiancee se ek beautiful sa kiss chahiye. Ab yeh sabke samne toh nahi mang sakta, isliye yaaha bulaya."

Shehnaaz started blushing.

"Itni si baat? Okay but first close your eyes." Shehnaaz said.

Sidharth closed his eyes.

Shehnaaz looked at his lips and came closer. Their lips were an inch apart. Suddenly Shehnaaz pushed him and moved away.

"What is this?" Sidharth asked.

"Bada aaya gift mangne wala. Tujhe woh award wali raat yaad hai?"

Sidharth remembered that night and said, "Oh God! Tu uss raat ka badla le rahi hai?"

"Haan. Main ussi raat ka badla le rahi hoon. Aur aaj toh kya, jab tak humari shaadi nahi ho jaati, main tujhe koi kiss nahi karne wali." Shehnaaz said.

"Yaar main toh sirf mazak kar raha tha."

"But main serious hoon. Ab tujhe shaadi tak ka wait karna padega. Tab tak ke liye no hugs no kisses." Shehnaaz said and left from there.

"Tere liye toh main puri life tak ka wait kar sakta hoon." Sidharth said in his mind and smiled.

Everyone gathered at the garden. It was the time for their engagement and their shoot also. The cameras were ready. Sidharth and Shehnaaz stood beside each other.

"Bhaiya ki bhi shaadi ho rahi hai. Bas humein hi apni life mein koi nahi milta." Preeti whispered to Neeti's ears.

"Tu please apni yeh bakwaas apne paas rakhegi?" Neeti said in a low voice.

"Bakwaas nahi kar rahi. Accha aap nahi chahte ki apki life mein koi prince charming aaye?"

"No. I'm not interested. Aur yeh bakwaas karne se accha hai jaa tu mere liye ek drink leke aa."

"Main kyu jau? Abhi Bhaiya Bhabi ek dusre ko ring pehnaenge. I can't miss it."

"Kaamchor kahi ki." Neeti said and went to bring drink for herself.

Neeti was bringing a glass of juice, suddenly she bumped into a man. The juice fell on her dress.

"Oh God! Meri dress kharab kar di. Idiot!" Neeti said looking at the man.

The man was looking very ill. He couldn't walk properly. "I'm s-sorry" He said.

But Neeti had already left.

"Accha hua maine ring ceremony miss nahi kar di." Neeti said in her mind.

"Shehnaaz Beta, pehle tu Sidharth ko yeh ring pehna de." Pammi Ji said and opened the ring-box.

Shehnaaz took the ring and looked at Sidharth. They both smiled at each other. Then she made him wear the ring.

"Ab Sid, tu isko pehna de." Rita Ji said and opened the ring-box.

Sidharth took the ring. Then he took Shehnaaz's hand.

"Aaj ke baad humara pyaar aur bhi mazboot ho jayega. Humein koi alag nahi kar sakta. Yeh ring pehen ne ke baad Naaz sirf aur sirf apne Sid ki ho jayegi." Sidharth said in her mind.

He was about to make her wear the ring, suddenly a voice came.

"Sana!"

Shehnaaz's heart started beating fast after hearing the voice. It was very familiar. An unknown fear overpowered her. She slowly turned her face.

"Rohit!" Shehnaaz said.

Everyone looked at him. They were too stunned to speak. Sidharth was also in shock. It was not something he expected. He looked at Shehnaaz. He wanted to see her expression.

Shehnaaz slowly removed her hands from Sidharth's hand. Then she ran to Rohit and hugged him. She was crying.

Sidharth was numb in shock. His world was turning upside down.

The engagement ring fell on the ground.
