After a few days...

Sidharth and Shehnaaz's family fixed their engagement date. The engagement ceremony would held at Shehnaaz's place. At the same day some scenes of their wedding song would be shooted. Both families started preparing for it. One day Shehnaaz was in Sidharth's room and showing him something on her phone.

"Sidharth, engagement ke liye yeh dress sahi rahegi?" Shehnaaz asked.

"Hmm." Sidharth said while doing something in his own phone.

"Sidharth tune thik se dekha tak nahi."

"Dekha na. Bohut pyaari dress hai." Sidharth again said looking at his own phone.

"Yaar irritate kyu kar raha hai? Help kar de na thodi si dress choose karne mein. Kuch din baad humari engagement hai aur mujhe best dikhna hai."

Sidharth kept his phone aside. He looked at Shehnaaz and said, "Tu jo bhi pehnegi na, uss mein hi princess lagegi. Aur dressing ke baare mein mere se zyada sense toh teri hai. Isliye inn sab ki fikar chhod aur mujhe mera kaam karne de."

"Jab dekho kaam aur kaam." Shehnaaz said and made a face. Then started choosing dress for her engagement.

Suddenly Sidharth got a phone call. He received the call and talked for sometime. After the call was cut, Sidharth looked at Shehnaaz with happy face.

Shehnaaz noticed it and said, "Bohut khush lag raha hai. Koi good news hai kya?"

"It's a great news. Shehnaaz, we both are getting award." Sidharth said with excitement.

"Kya baat kar raha hai! Sacchi?"

"Bilkool sacchi. Mujhe best male singer ka aur tujhe best female singer ka award mil raha hai. Yeh humari life ka pehla bada award hai."

"Tu ruk main abhi jaake sabko yeh good news de ke aati hoon. They will be so proud of us." Shehnaaz said.

She was about to go, suddenly Sidharth said, "Waise Dad ko baata ke koi fayda nahi. Woh nahi aayenge."

"Kyu nahi aayenge? Teri life ka sabse bada award hai. Woh zaroor aayenge." Shehnaaz said.

"You don't know him. Unko mera yeh singing ka career hi pasand nahi hai. Aaj tak itne concerts kiye hai maine, Dad kabhi dekhne nahi aaye. Actually woh humesha se chahte the ki main unka business sambhaloon. But maine unki baat nahi maani. Aur issi wajah se woh ab tak mujhse naraz hai. He won't come." Sidharth said.

Shehnaaz cupped his face and said, "Aise sad mat ho. Main promise karti hoon, iss award ceremony mein Ashok Uncle zaroor aayenge."

Sidharth took her hands in his hands and kissed them.

"I hope so." Sidharth said.

Then they both went downstairs and told everyone about the news. All became very happy.

"Wow! Aap dono ko award milne wala hai? Congratulations!" Neeti said excitedly.

"Ab toh party deni padegi Bhaiya." Preeti said.

"Party? Kuch nahi milega." Sidharth said.

"This is not fair." Preeti said.

"Iss ladki ko toh roz party chahiye. Samne engagement hai uske baad shaadi hai, aur kitna chahiye tujhe?" Neeti said.

"Bilkool sahi kaha tune." Sidharth said.

"Kyu sab log mil kar Preeti ko aise bol rahe ho? Tumhare Bhaiya toh hai hi kanjoos. Main dungi party." Shehnaaz said.

"Sana you're the best." Preeti said and hugged her.

"Phir toh mujhe bhi chahiye party." Neeti said.

"Dekho kaise party badal di. Bada suna rahe the mujhe."

"Kyu ki mujhe bhi paata hai Bhaiya kanjoos hai. Isliye main unse mangti nahi. But ab jab Sana party de rahi hai phir toh mujhe bhi chahiye. After all she is my hone wali bhabi." Neeti said and hugged Shehnaaz.

"Accha toh sab mil kar ab mujhe kanjoos bula rahe hai? Sahi hai, sahi hai." Sidharth said.

Everyone started laughing.

Rita Ji was very happy seeing them like this. She patted Sidharth and Shehnaaz's head and said, "I'm very proud of you both."

Sidharth and Shehnaaz hugged Rita Ji.

"Mera baccha." She said.

Suddenly Ashok Ji came. He was going to office but suddenly Shehnaaz stopped him.

"Uncle, mujhe apse kuch kehna tha." Shehnaaz said.

"Haan bolo." Ashok Ji said.

"Woh Sidharth ko na best male singer ka award mil raha hai."

Ashok Ji looked at Sidharth and said, "Acchi baat hai. Toh iss mein main kya karu?"

Sidharth's face suddenly turned pale.

"Woh chahta tha ki aap bhi uski award ceremony mein aaye. Aap aayenge na?"

"Main nahi aa sakta. Mujhe aur bhi bohut kaam hai. Waise bhi sab log toh jaa hi rahe hai. Meri kya zaroorat hai?"

"Lekin Sidharth ka bohut mann tha ki aap aaye."

"Main nahi aa paunga." Ashok Ji said and left.

Shehnaaz went after him. After sometime she came back with a sad face.

"Nahi maane na Dad. I knew it. Actually woh nah kabhi mujhe samajhenge hi nahi. Zaroorat nahi hai unhe aane ke. Woh khush rahe apne kaam ke saath." Sidharth said and left from there.

"Baap bete dono bilkool ek jaise hai. Egoistic. Jab se Sid ne apna career apne hisaab se chuna hai, dono mein dooriyan badh gayi hai. Uske baad aaj tak unhone ek dusre se thik se baat bhi nahi kiya. Kaash inka rishta pehle jaisa ho jaaye." Rita Ji said.

"Don't worry Aunty. Bohut zald inka rishta pehle jaisa ho jaayega." Shehnaaz said in her mind.

Day of the award ceremony...

Sidharth was sitting in his room. He was thinking about something. Suddenly Shehnaaz entered the room.

"Sidharth chal der ho jayegi..... Tu aise muh fula ke kyu baitha hai?"

He noticed Shehnaaz and tried to be normal. "Nahi bas aise hi kuch soch raha tha." He said.

"Mujhe acchi tarah paata hai ki tu Uncle ke baare mein soch raha tha." Shehnaaz said in her mind.

"I think humein nikal na chahiye." Sidharth stood up and said.

"Ek minute." Shehnaaz said.

"Kya hua?" Sidharth asked.

Shehnaaz went near him and started fixing the collar of his coat. While she was doing it, Sidharth was staring at her with full of love in his eyes.

"Now it's better." Shehnaaz said and left the collar.

"Tere chehre pe bhi kuch laga hua hai." Sidharth said.

"Mere chehre pe kya laga hai?"

Sidharth came near her and kissed her cheek. Shehnaaz closed her eyes. Sidharth started kissing her whole face. After that he went to her lips but suddenly moved back.

"Now it's better." Sidharth said. He did it intentionally to irritate her.

Shehnaaz opened her eyes and slapped Sidharth slightly on his shoulder.

"Yeh kya tha?" She asked

"Ab pura din yehi karte rahenge toh award ceremony mein pohuch nahi payenge. Ab chal." Sidharth said and started walking.

"Lekin suru kisne kiya tha?..."

Sidharth already left.

"Accha? Tere se toh main baad mein badla lungi." Shehnaaz said in her mind and went after him.

At the award ceremony...

"The best female singer award goes to Ms. Shehnaaz Gill."

Everyone started clapping. Shehnaaz went to the stage and took her award. Sidharth was feeling proud of her. She was his first student and now she was getting award.

"Shehnaaz Mam aap kuch kehna chahengi?" The host asked.

Shehnaaz took the mic and said, "First of all I would like thank the audience kyu ki unhone mujhe iss award ke kaabil samjha. Thank you everyone. Singer ban ne ki khwaish toh bachpan se thi aur Mummy Papa ne bhi humesha mujhe iss mein support kiya. Lekin aaj main yaaha hoon toh woh sirf ek insaan ki wajah se. Usne mujhe banaya hai. Anjaan hote hue bhi har kadam pe mera saath diya hai. And he is none other than Sidharth. Thank you for always being there for me. Main lucky hoon jo mujhe tujh jaisa life partner milne wala hai. That's all."

Everyone clapped. Sidharth smiled. Shehnaaz came with the award and hugged Sidharth. Then she went to her parents and touched their feet. They gave her blessings.

"Maine bola tha na Pammi, humari Shehnaaz humein sach mein ekdin proud feel karwaegi." Santosh Ji said.

Sidharth looked at them and smiled sadly.

"The best male singer award goes to Mr. Sidharth Shukla."

Sidharth went to the stage and took his award. He looked at the audience and smiled.

The host asked if he wanted to say something.

Sidharth took the mic and he was about to say suddenly his eyes fell on someone. His father was sitting in the audience seat and smiling proudly. Sidharth was very much surprised. He couldn't even speak. Suddenly his father stood up and left from there.

"Sidharth Sir..." The host reminded him that he have to speak.

"Huh... Thank you... Thank you for this award." Sidharth said briefly and left the stage.

He went outside after his father.

"Dad! Dad!" Sidharth called Ashok Ji.

Ashok Ji stopped and looked behind.

"Aap yaaha?" Sidharth asked.

"Kyu, nahi aana chahiye tha?"

"Aisa nahi hai matlab... Apne toh kaha tha aap nahi aaoge."

"Maine bhi yehi socha tha lekin..."

Flashback...

Ashok Ji was going to sit in his car, suddenly Shehnaaz stopped him.

"Uncle rukiye. Meri apse request hai ki aap please Sidharth ki award ceremony attend ki jiye." Shehnaaz said.

"Dekho Beta maine pehle hi keh diya hai ki main inn sab chizon mein shamil nahi hota. Baki sab jaa toh rahe hai." Ashok Ji said.

"Jaa rahe hai lekin apki kami koi puri nahi kar sakta. Aap Sidharth ke Dad hai. Aur woh chahta hai ki uski award ceremony mein aap raho. I know aap Sidharth se naraz ho aur main toh kehti hoon apka naraz hona bilkool jayaz hai. Sidharth ne apki baat nahi maani aur usne galti ki. Lekin bacche toh galti karte hai aur bado ka farz banta hai unki galtiyon ko maaf kar de. Aap nahi chahte the ki woh singer bane lekin jo bhi ho aaj woh successful hai. Kya apko sach mein uski success par proud feel nahi hota?"

Ashok Ji started thinking.

"Sidharth apse bohut pyaar karta hai. Bas ek baar uski award ceremony mein aayie, usse gale laga ke kahiye, "I'm proud of you my son." Phir dekhna sara gussa gayab ho jayega."

"Thik hai. Main aaunga." Ashok Ji said.

Shehnaaz became very happy.

"Thanks Uncle. Aur haan kisi ko paata nahi chalna chahiye. Sidharth ko hum surprise denge."

"Jaisa tum kaho."

Flashback ends...

"Uski baaton se mujhe ehsaas hua sayad main bekar mein itne din zidd kar raha tha. Aaj yaaha aake mujhe paata chala tumhara decision galat nahi tha. Sayad main hi tumhe samajh nahi paya. Bohut bura Dad hoon na main?" Ashok Ji said.

Sidharth had tears in his eyes.

"Aisa nahi hai Dad. Aap toh iss duniya ke best Dad ho. Thank you for coming here. Aaj main bohut khush. Today I'm truly feeling myself successful." Sidharth said.

Ashok Ji hugged him and said, "I'm proud of you my son. Love you."

"Love you Dad" Sidharth said.

"Aur ek baat, Shehnaaz bohut acchi ladki hai. Ekdam lakhon mein ek. Uska saath kabhi mat chhod na." Ashok Ji said after breaking the hug.

Sidharth nodded.

After that Ashok Ji left from there. Sidharth was feeling very happy. After so many years he hugged his father. Suddenly someone put a hand on his shoulder.

Sidharth turned and found Shehnaaz.

"Kaisa laga surprise? Bohut dino baad aise hug kiya na apne Dad ko?" Shehnaaz asked.

"Thank you yaar. Without you it was not possible." Sidharth said.

"Thank you? Maine aisa kya kar diya? Bas Baap aur Bete ke rishte ko thik kar diya. That's it."

"Nahi Shehnaaz, tune yeh bohut bada kaam kiya hai. Maine kabhi nahi socha tha Dad mujh par proud feel karenge. Yeh sirf teri wajah se hua hai. Tu nahi hoti toh mera kya hota?"

Sidharth paused for a while and said, "Ek promise karegi mujhse?"

"Kya?" Shehnaaz asked.

"Tu humesha aise hi mere saath rahegi. Kabhi mujhe chhod ke nahi jayegi."

"Ab toh sawal hi nahi uthta. I promise you. I'll be always with you." Shehnaaz said.
