"No, D, you have to put your thumbs out in order to hit the ball. Don't keep them inside your fists. Out, like this."

It was 7:57 PM and practice was coming off to an end. Though, Angelica and Drista were practicing together since the girl didn't know the basics of volleyball. She just didn't like the sport but came to join this program so Angelica wouldn't feel alone.

"Like this?" Drista asked, doing the exact same thing the older girl did. Angelica nodded enthusiastically, almost jumping from excitement that she finally got it right. "So, yes?"

"Yes, yes!" Angelica nodded before throwing her the ball, though, her smile vanished when Drista didn't touch the ball with her clasped hands, though, she started jumping a little out of energy. "Alright, we're going to practice with that next week."

"Rosas!"

Drista laughed when she heard the girl groan at hearing the other coach. Angelica turned around and fake smiled, clasping her hands behind her back.

"Yes, Coach Ricks?"

"Stop jumping," he gave her a look, "I can feel your happiness from all the way over here."

"Sir, yes, sir." Angelica gave him a thumbs up and he turned to look back at the other kids he had been watching. The girl turned to look back at Drista and jumped enthusiastically like before. "Remember to keep your thumbs out, okay?"

"Got it, Coach," Drista playfully saluted to her and Angelica shook her head, ruffling her hair. "V, stop!"

"I'm fixing your hair, you sweaty child," Angelica snorted, continuing to mess up her hair.

"I'm not a child," Drista squinted her eyes at her friend who took a step back to grab the volleyball on the floor, a smirk on her face. "Anyway, can you give me a ride back home?"

"Is your mom okay with it?" Angelica raised an eyebrow. Drista nodded just as Coach Ricks blew his whistle to say that practice was done.

"Yep," the two walked to grab their bags, "and she said it was okay. Also, can we buy junk food? I'm starving."

"I'm starving, too," Angelica groaned. "I don't think I ate yesterday. I forgot."

"Hey, V!" The two turned. Ricks stood by. "There were some students that were wondering if you can help them with their hits next week, have volleyball tryouts soon."

"Yeah," Angelica nodded. "That's fine. I'll see you next week then. Bye, old man! Tell Coach Laura I said hi."

"Stop calling me old man, kid!"

"I'll stop calling you old man when you stop acting like one and when you stop calling me a kid. Bye!"

The only thing in response that Angelica got was a simple, annoyed sigh. She snickered with Drista, the two getting inside her car.

"So," Drista began as soon as Angelica drove off, "are you okay?"

Angelica sighed, the smile she had been wearing the whole entire practice, drifting off. She shrugged, ignoring the way her chest tightened. "Could be better."

"Hey, maybe I can tell Mom to let me sleep over at your new place," Drista suggested, eyes wide as she glanced at Angelica who smiled at her tone. "Let's go! We can have a sleepover."

"Just tell me when and I'll come pick you up," Angelica nodded, dancing in her seat at the songs that were playing on the radio. "We're going to buy tons of junk food while watching so many movies, I'm excited."

"Yes," Drista enthusiastically nodded. "Let's do that! How about this Friday? Mom loves you and she knows you so she'll definitely say yes."

Angelica chuckled, glancing at the girl. "Alright. I'll call her tomorrow when I go get groceries. How does that sound?"

"Pretty good," Drista smiled.

"Then I'll call her."

In a matter of minutes after buying food and jamming out to radio music, the two got out of the car to head inside the family's house, arms filled with paper bags.

"Honey, I'm home!" Angelica yelled out, receiving a "Ang?" from Drista's mom, voice laced with happiness. "Mom!"

"V!" Drista's mom yelled, hugging her tightly. Angelica smiled at the nickname and hugged her back. "Ah, I missed you. Thanks for bringing food, by the way. How much do I owe you?"

"Don't worry about it," Angelica waved her off, gulping as she eyed family pictures. "It was my treat. But, we had a good day at practice today."

"Mom," the two turned to look at the enthusiastic teenager, "I learned how to hit a volleyball."

"Good for you!"

"We finally nailed it," Angelica chuckled. "Anyway, I have to go," she eyed the time on her watch, "I have movie night with my sister in 20 minutes and she'll kill me if I'm late."

"Alright, then," Angelica and Drista's mom hugged again. "Hopefully you come more. I miss your presence."

"I'll definitely come here," Angelica smiled before she walked towards the door, followed immediately by the two. Though, just as she walked towards her car, she stopped. "Oh! Before I forget, I was going to ask you tomorrow, but now that I'm here I wanted to talk to you, but... Is it okay if Drista comes to my house for a sleepover?"

"Yeah, of course! That's fine by me."

"Yes!" Drista and Angelica said, high-fiving each other.

"Well, I'll pick you up Friday," Angelica told the girl before looking at her mom, waving. "Bye!"

"Bye!"

Turning around, Angelica stopped in tracks at eyeing a figure ting out of his car. She felt her breath hitch and Dream also stopped in his tracks at eyeing her.

Clearing her throat, Angelica looked away from him and got in her car, waving one last time at the two standing by the doorway. She looked down at her steering wheel, not making eye-contact with the dirty blonde who was still looking at her.

As she drove off, Dream stared after her car, lips parted a bit out of shock. His mom and little sister stared at the car and then at him, glancing at one another.

"That felt like such a movie scene," Drista mumbled.

"I totally felt that. Now, go get the tissues. I already know your brother's gonna cry."

"Yes, ma'am."
