"Hi, Corpse. Hi, Dave."
Angelica took off her shoes by the entrance as she entered Corpse's apartment, her gaze immediately set on the two men sitting by the couch just mindlessly talking with one another.
"Hey, idiot," Corpse greeted, standing up to hug her. She hugged him back and patted the back of his head since they were the same height. "What are you doing here?"
"Eh, I just decided to visit you since I am here for a bit before I go back to Florida," Angelica answered, hugging Dave next as the red-haired man smiled at her. "Very stressful few days."
Taking off her mask, the girl sighed and sat down on the floor while the two glanced at her and sat back on their seats. Corpse glanced at her and noticed the prominent darkness surrounding her eyes and the countless of times she had yawned.
"That bad, huh?" Dave questioned, noticing the things Corpse had noticed, too. Angelica nodded.
"That bad," she replied. "I swear, I love my mom, I do. But she really struck a nerve today. She reminded me of why I'm faceless."
"Did she yell at you again?" Corpse asked, resting his forearms on his thighs as he leaned forward.
"Oh, yeah," Angelica snorted. "She can yell at me all she wants. I got used to it. It's the repetitive comments comparing me to my cousin from my Tia Karla's side," she turned to Dave who appeared confused. "My Aunt Karla has a daughter that's my age and she's in college. She's very beautiful, smart, too. She was just a major bitch when I last saw her. We all have that one cousin."
"What about your dad?" Dave asked.
"Eh, he was there," Angelica shrugged. "He didn't really care that I was there because I left home as soon as I turned 18 and he didn't like that," she turned to look around the house and her eyes set on the counter. She turned back to look at Corpse. "Hey, can I get something to eat?"
"You have a key, 'Li," Corpse chuckled. "This is basically your home. Go ahead."
"Wait," Dave gave his friend a shocked face, "you gave her a key?"
"Yeah," Corpse nodded. "She used to unexpectedly show up to my house at 5 am and would scare the crap out of me when I would wake up hearing someone breaking in," his voice got louder and he gave his hungry friend a playful glare. "She knows how to break in so I just gave her a damn key so she wouldn't give me a damn heart attack in the middle of the night."
"I should do that, too," Dave thought out loud and Corpse laughed a little, shaking his head.
"Please, don't."
"Hey, Halloween is coming up," Angelica spoke. The two men looked at her. "It's going to be crazy. I want kids to come to my door so I can scare the crap out of them."
"Only you would," Dave chuckled.
"Hey, how are those people that keep on bothering you?" Corpse asked.
"I'm trying to ignore it," Angelica sighed, standing in front of the two. "They're trying to dox me. I got told that they made a group in Discord and are coming up with plans. I just wouldn't be surprised if I get cancelled next month for something they did and are blaming me for."
"I don't know why it's so hard for people to just respect your privacy," Dave shook his head. "It's just a plain, simple thing to follow. If a person wants to be faceless, let them instead of degrading them for not wanting to show their face."
"Exactly," Angelica ran a hand over her face. "The thing that made me laugh is that they really believed that Angelica Rosas was actually my real name. I'm not that dumb to put my whole entire name out there when I don't want no one finding out who I am."
"Will you ever face reveal at some point?"
"At some point, yeah," the girl yawned, covering her mouth while blinking away the tears glazing her eyesight. "Just not now. I mean, I started the year with 900k subscribers on YouTube and now I'm at 11 million, and all that is kinda nerve-wracking."
"The fact that we blew up together," Corpse dramatically sniffed, bringing his hand up so Angelica would high-five him. She did so and Dave shook his head at his friends. "But yeah, knowing more people are watching is more and more pressure. I mean, I just don't think I can live up to people's expectations."
"You're perfect in my own eyes, pal," Angelica nodded, patting his knee. "Not trying to be sarcastic, by the way. But, I completely understand. I'm the most insecure-d/confident person out there."
"You tend to compliment yourself a lot," Dave noted, "and then it just goes downhill."
"What you do say a lot is, hmm, " Corpse made a thinking face, "you do say, "I'm so beautifully ugly." Sometimes, you just straight up say that you're beautiful before saying that you're so hideous."
"I think we get along because we hate our faces," Angelica smiled innocently. "I mean, I want to be as pretty as Dave."
"Look at those luscious locks," Corpse continued, staring at the man who looked back and forth between the two. "God, Dave."
"You guys are something," Dave laughed before turning to look at Angelica. "Hey, what's with that rivalry between you and Dream?"
"Oh, don't mention him," Corpse snickered, "Angelica doesn't want to speak about her boyfriend."
"He's not my boyfriend," Angelica scrunched her nose before rolling her eyes just thinking about that stupid smiley face icon of his. She couldn't bare thinking about him. "He's a jerk. We met when he was starting to become more well-known. He was at that peak when he started to research PewDiePie's Minecraft seed and released it. He was a dick when I first met him."
"Yep, and now every interaction of theirs 'till this day are always arguing," Corpse explained, clearing his throat. "They argue and argue like a married couple."
"It's not my fault," Angelica scoffed. "He was a jerk when we first met. I tried excusing his rude behavior by saying he probably had a bad week and I don't need to assume just by our first interaction. Later on, he had the nerve, the fucking nerve, to throw shade at me. That shade later turned into insecurity and," sigh, "it ruined me for a couple of weeks."
"That sucks," Dave frowned. "So, all he needs to do is apologize for what he said?"
"I don't care what he does," Angelica took a sip of her water. "As long as it's sincere and he knows what he did wrong."
"Pretty valid."
"That is reasonable."
