Goodbye Paris

"Welcome aboard! My name is Janey, and I'll be your host today." Gavin smiled at the pretty young brunette who showed him into his small room. A whole fucking room this time. Long distance first class was even bigger than the last one. He wasn't sure how many rooms there were, but he'd had no idea a plane could even house all this. There was a small chest for his bag, a vanity table with the chair in front and a proper bed. It was just a little bigger than the bunk from the other plane. "Your seat for takeoff is here, and your bed is ready for later. There are drinks in the small section here, along with your menu. I'll return to take your order after takeoff. Would you like a drink before we depart?" Janey asked kindly as she ushered him over to the chair. Gavin smiled as he opened the chest and stowed his bag inside, shutting the lid with a firm click.

"Sure, just an apple juice," he replied as he moved to sit in the chair. There were two windows at the head of the bed with a screen in front of the vanity instead of a mirror. Guess this doubles as a desk...That made sense for any businessmen travelling for meetings. You could probably get a lot of work done during a twelve hour flight, especially with the paid internet.

"Certainly, Mr Reed. I'll return shortly." Janey left with a blinding smile, and Gavin slumped into the chair with an almost forlorn sigh. He was kicking himself already. He should have stayed. He should have thrown caution to the wind, gone home with Nines, and let him fuck him into the mattress for the next few days. Sure, it probably would have ended in disappointment, but when had he become such a coward? He was pretty sure he could have spun a story with Fowler. Hell, the guy was constantly badgering him about the holiday he had to take. If things went to shit and he got stuck, he knew Elijah would bail him out. He huffed as he fastened his seatbelt. Too late now...This is for the best anyway...He's Eli's friend. I shouldn't mess that up...

He flicked through the menu and was only interrupted once as Janey came back to drop off his drink. Being a bigger plane, it was taking a lot longer to board everyone. Gavin was grateful for the huge armchair as time dragged on. He drank his juice and put the glass in the small holder on the vanity. He didn't want the glass to smash. He was relieved as the screen and speakers came to life with the regular announcements and safety instructions. He barely listened as he looked out the windows, watching as their plane rolled out onto the runway. He gripped the armrests as they soared into the air, swallowing and doing his best to pop the pressure out of his ears. It didn't work. He still ended up half deaf. Not that it matters...

He snagged the menu again to look through the dinner options. He settled on mozzarella and tomato bruschetta, a fillet steak with seasonal vegetables and mashed potato, and a raspberry cheesecake. He smiled fondly as he looked through the drinks and settled on a Cosmopolitan. He remembered Nines insisting how great they were. He was right; they were pretty good...A little strong, but I can have one with dinner...Maybe he wouldn't pine so much if he had a drink or two. Either that or I'll be crying the whole way home...He cringed at the thought.

The seatbelt sign blinked out and Gavin immediately kicked off his shoes and changed into the cotton pyjamas provided. The black material was crisp and comfortable, just like the other set. The set that Nines had slipped from his body with eager hands. He flopped on the bed, unsure whether he was horny or miserable as he thought about their coupling. It was the best sex he'd had in a long while. Maybe the best sex he'd ever had. That may have been down to the danger of being heard though. He hugged the pillow and turned on his side as he thought about everything that had happened after the flight.

He rolled to the edge of the bed and tugged the soft scarf against his chest. It was probably the most expensive gift anyone had ever bought him. Anyone outside my family, at least. He couldn't count Elijah in that. Elijah had bought him his last car. He'd buy him more if he let him. He often pointed out fancy houses that were for sale at a very reasonable price. Gavin breathed in as he buried his face in the cashmere, but it didn't smell like Nines. It smelled of freshly treated wool and his own cologne. At least it was soft. He continued to finger the material as he closed his eyes.

What would it have been like if he'd agreed to stay? He took himself back to that moment. To when Nines had held his arms so tightly and looked at him so earnestly. He imagined saying yes. What would have happened next? They would have kissed, he was sure of that. It would have been different though. Deeper. Desperate. Nines would have fisted his hand in his hair and tilted his face upwards. Gavin's stomach swirled as he imagined the kiss. How their tongues would have danced. How their hands would have explored. He could almost feel Nines' fingers trailing up and down his spine. He turned his face further into the pillow. Nines would have pulled back and suggested they leave.

They would have fumbled into the backseat of the car, already tugging off their jackets. Nines would have tried to push him down on the leather, but Cleo would have chided them from the front and insisted they wear seatbelts. Nines would have grudgingly sat and buckled in, both of them tapping their feet and looking out the window. He didn't know where Nines was staying, or if he had a house, but he imagined Cleo pulling up at some sort of penthouse with a view over the city. Nines wouldn't have even waited to reach the front door. The moment the elevator doors closed, he would have pressed him up against the wall and devoured his lips again.

He could almost feel Nines' fingers raising his shirt to feel his pecs as he nibbled and kissed his neck. Gavin would have raised a leg and hooked it over his clothed hip to tug him closer. Nines would have growled and rocked against him, grabbing his thigh to lift him as the doors opened. Gavin imagined the elevator opening right into the penthouse, so Nines didn't even need to stagger more than a few paces before he was pinning him down on an expensive chaise longue. Gavin would have helped remove his top so that Nines could lick and nip his bare skin. He moaned at the thought of Nines' hand creeping into his jeans to cup and squeeze his hardening shaft.

He bit his lip, still hugging the pillow as he stroked a hand down his clothed chest to press and rub his crotch. He let out a small hum into the pillow as he stroked his slowly hardening shaft. He could feel a defined bulge starting to form as it grew upwards. Trapped within his tight boxers, there weren't many options for it besides resting snugly against his pelvis. He nuzzled into the pillow, imagining he was nuzzling into Nines shoulder as he lounged against him, kissing and nipping his slender neck. He gripped the pillow harder with his free hand, mourning the fact that it felt nothing like the silken strands of Nines' hair.

"Excuse me, Mr Reed?" A knock at the door sounded. Gavin gasped as he sat up, mortified as he checked the state of his pants. Thanks to his tight boxers and the looseness of the pyjama bottoms, the lump wasn't as obvious as it could have been. He ran a hand through his mussed hair as he dropped the pillow back in place and bundled the scarf on his lap. He busied himself with folding the delicate material as he called for Janey to come in. "I'm here to take your dinner order. Are you ready?" she asked politely as she stepped inside with a practiced smile.

"Uh, sure...The bruschetta, the fillet, and a cheesecake, please...and a Cosmopolitan," he added as he neatened the scarf and left it on his lap, resting a hand on the soft material. Janey smiled as she put in the order on her small electric pad. Gavin was pretty sure he'd gotten away with it. Janey certainly didn't let on if she did know what he'd been up to. Why would she? I'm just a guy wearing pyjamas, with a cashmere scarf folded in his lap...Perfectly normal.

"Alright, would medium be alright for the steak? It comes aboard pre-cooked...I can recommend the lamb if not?"

"Oh, no, that'll be fine. Thanks." He ate his steak medium rare most of the time, but he wasn't about to kick up a stink about it. Janey probably had enough to deal with already without an upgraded economy customer making things difficult. Janey smiled brightly, likely pleased with the ease of service. She tapped a few more options on her pad before looking up again.

"Thank you. Would you like to dine in your room, or in the lounge?" she checked, though it was probably obvious from his state of dress. Then again, maybe first class passengers are weird and like to walk around in their pyjamas in public...

"Here will be fine, thanks." Janey made a note of it and ducked out with a nod, hurrying off as her name was called. Gavin frowned as he heard a group of voices further off as his door closed. If he could hear them, then those voices were raised. Probably someone complaining about something...He sighed as he put his scarf aside and looked at the vague bulge in his pants. He could sort it out, but he'd already been interrupted once. She won't be back for a while, right? He bit his lip thoughtfully as he eyed the door. Knowing his luck, she'd slide it open just as he was finishing. He felt his skin heat at the thought, wincing in imaginary shame. Phck, it'll go down in a while...

He grabbed the remote as he leaned back on the mattress, propping the pillow up so he could lounge. He turned on the screen above the vanity and started flicking through the channels. He paused to listen as an announcement went out calling for Jacob to head to the first class lounge. He vaguely remembered Jacob being the head steward for first class. He continued to flick through the channels and left a documentary playing. Nothing killed a boner quite like starving baby polar bears. Phck, real polar bears! This must be from the twenty-twenties! They'd officially gone extinct around his twenty-eighth birthday.

"Come in..." Gavin called as a firm knock sounded on his door. His sad green eyes shifted away from the screen as the knock sounded again. "Come in!" He spoke louder, but still, the door didn't open. Gavin frowned at the third knock and swung his legs off the bed. Is the door stuck? He pressed the button, and the door slid open. "Nines?" His heart stuttered to a halt as he looked up at him. His brunette locks were a little fluffed from the weather and constant ruffling, but he was just as immaculate as when they'd parted. His suit with the waistcoat underneath. The shiny shoes. The expensive watch. Nines smirked as he stepped closer. Close enough to slip his arms around his waist. "W-what the-How did you-I didn't see you at boarding!" Gavin stammered as he was backed into his small room.

"There were no seats left in first class. I barely made it in time to board economy...I'd forgotten how terrible those seats are," Nines replied as he backed Gavin up the short distance to the bed. Gavin yelped and gripped Nines' larger shoulders as the back of his knees hit the small bunk. Nines smirked as he held Gavin's weight and eased him down, sitting him on the edge of the mattress as he sank into the space beside him. Gavin was half convinced he was still dreaming as Nines moved to kiss his neck and nip his lobe, running his fingers through his thick hair.

"But what are you doing here? Don't you have something to do in Paris?" They hadn't talked about Nines' plans, but he had to be there for something. You didn't just go to another country for no reason, especially not all dressed up in a suit and flying first class. Nines hummed in disinterest as he worked his way back to Gavin's mouth. He was pleased to find him so responsive as he pressed a series of little kisses to his lips. Gavin returned each one, leaning forward to chase his lips as he drew back with a small smile.

"Cleo can handle my business...I had the feeling that this was more important..." Nines seemed serious as he caressed his stumbled cheek, enjoying the prickles against his fingertips. Gavin licked his lips as he leaned back, looking a little more nervous than before. It seemed too good to be true. People didn't chase Gavin Reed. Romantic shit like this wasn't supposed to happen to him. I'm probably just setting myself up for disappointment later, but...This is one of the things he would have fantasised about.

"Important? You've barely known me for a day! And you just...dropped everything to chase after me? Are you phcking crazy?" Gavin pressed his hands flat against Nines' shoulders, holding him back as he pushed him down and moved to kneel above him. "We barely phcking know each other! You'll get bored in a week!" That's how it usually went, anyway. A week was pretty fucking generous. It was usually less than a day, and it only lasted longer due to work getting in the way. When people actually spent real time with him, they always left. Nines' frown deepened as he stroked his fingers through his hair again.

"Perhaps...I can't tell what the future holds, but...I want to see how deep this connection can go..." Nines bit his lip uncertainly. He knew he felt something for Gavin. He'd thought it was just physical attraction as usual when he'd seen him in the queue at the airport, but that had changed. Spending time with him. Finding out he was the precious little brother Elijah always fawned over. Taking him on a date. Actually plundering his willing body. It had made him feel things he hadn't felt in years. Gavin scoffed at the thought.

"You've already been balls deep in my ass...Can't get much deeper than that..." Nines huffed at the retort, biting his lip as he thought about their previous encounter. He ran a hand up Gavin's waist, slipping it beneath his pyjama top to feel his scarred skin. "Are you sure about this? I mean...you left Detroit for a reason..." Gavin interrupted in a more serious tone. Nines nodded his agreement. He wasn't looking forward to that aspect of being back.

"I did, but you didn't want to stay, and...I'm not ready to say goodbye..." That admission was enough to have Gavin's eyes fluttering shut as he allowed Nines to lean down and seal his lips. Nines sighed into the kiss as he lowered his body to rest against him. He continued to stroke and tease his bare skin, slipping his hand beneath his back to feel those little imperfections against his fingertips again. He hummed his appreciation as he felt Gavin's hands tugging at the bottom of his shirt to do a little exploring of his own.

"You look really hot, but phck, I wish you weren't wearing such tight layers," Gavin grumbled playfully as he drew back from the kiss. Nines rested his head on Gavin's shoulder as he huffed a small chuckle and knelt up again to shrug out of his fine blazer. He dropped the jacket almost carelessly over the side of the bed before reaching for the buttons of his waistcoat. He hummed softly as Gavin pushed himself up to fist his tie and tug him closer, kissing him insistently. He moved to help as Nines slid the waistcoat off his shoulders, adding it to the growing pile on the floor.

Nines cradled his head as he pressed closer and lowered him back to the bed. Their legs entwined on the sheets as they kissed with lazy little pecks. Gavin's hands moved to explore Nines' smooth skin beneath his shirt. He drew back with a gasp as Nines' thigh slipped between his own and started rubbing his crotch. Nines moaned into their kiss as he felt Gavin's bulge against his leg. Their lips were already wet and pink from kisses, and Nines couldn't help going back for more. Gavin's tongue was as needy as his own as it flicked out to meet him.

"Fuck, Gavin, were you touching yourself before I arrived?" Nines smirked as he watched Gavin's green eyes widen, and an almost guilty expression fell across his face. "Don't try to lie, Gavin. I can see it on your face...Were you thinking of me?" There was a lot of hope in his tone as he slipped his hand down to feel the solid length trapped in his boxers. Gavin panted a little as Nines' large hand rubbed and squeezed. He squirmed into the contact, lips trembling as he gazed up into Nines' fiery blue eyes.

"Yeah...Phck, I couldn't stop thinking about you." He felt a little vulnerable at the admission, but Nines' warm expression and gentle hands made him feel a lot better. He hummed, as if asking him to continue as he moved to kiss his neck. Gavin gasped and moaned into the contact, tilting his head to give Nines better access. "What it would have been like if I'd stayed...How you'd touch me...How you'd fuck me..." Nines let out a low growl and tightened his grip at the shameless admission. Gavin whined as he rocked his hips up, clinging to Nines' strong shoulders. Nines started tugging at the waist of Gavin's pants, edging the material down over one hip and-

"Mr Reed? May I come in?" There was a polite knock along with Janey's greeting. Gavin gasped and shoved Nines up. Nines moved back to sit on the edge of the bed, smirking mirthfully as Gavin righted his pants and ran a nervous hand through his hair. He crossed his legs self-consciously before giving her permission to enter. She came in with her usual smile, bringing with her a white tablecloth to put on the vanity. "Dinner will be served shortly," she warned, seemingly oblivious to what she'd interrupted. Gavin could have kicked himself. Of course, dinner was coming. He'd ordered it shortly before Nines' arrival.

"Thanks, uh..." Gavin looked at Nines questioningly. Would he have to go back to economy to eat? Or would they let him eat here? Did they have enough food to allow him to eat here? Would they force him to eat the economy food? Nines seemed to catch on to his thoughts rather quickly and smiled warmly. He was touched that Gavin had thought of him. "You want to share?" The question made Nines' insides melt even more. Gavin had a surprisingly sweet side hidden underneath his rough and scarred exterior.

"I ordered from the lounge. They'll bring it along shortly," Nines replied as he reached down to grab his waistcoat and jacket from the floor. Gavin watched as he folded them and neatly bundled them at the end of the bed. Janey flitted in and out, setting up the cutlery and dropping off his bruschetta and complimentary salad, bread, and butter. A tray was soon brought for Nines, containing a luxury sandwich with a side salad. Janey returned one final time to drop off two Cosmopolitans before hurrying off to see to the rest of her section. Nines smiled as he watched Gavin accept his glass and move to sit at the vanity. As soon as dessert was done, he was going to peel Gavin's clothes off and intimately reacquaint himself with every inch of his body.
