So you've all heard of the Mikaelson family and of Klaus not being Mikael's biological son. But have you heard of Shyra Mikaelson? No, well this is her story. Esther was not the only one who cheated. Mikael cheated on her with her best friend Ayana. But the truth came out not long after Esther turned her children and husband into vampires. Mikael had gone behind her and Ayana's back to turn Shyra along with his other children. Ayana was furious and Shyra was sadden greatly when she lost her magic. When Klaus triggered his werewolf side, Esther and Mikael fought. Shyra's true parentage coming out during the fight. But only the Mikaelsons and Ayana know the truth. Shyra never had siblings and loved that she now had five of them. She left with them after Esther's death, not knowing her mother was pregnant again. Shyra's POV

"So how do you know the rumors of a new doppelganger are true?" I ask Klaus. As we are driven to Mystic Falls. Our original home. I hadn't been back since we were turned a thousand years ago. Out of all my siblings. I'm closest to Klaus, even though we are not blood related. We were both shunned by my father.

"Because I had someone check it out and they confirmed that there is a new human doppelganger" he states.

"So you're finally going to lift your curse" I say smiling.

"Yes and will create my hybrid army" he says smirking. "Then our siblings will be awaken" he states.

"Do you think Elijah knows of the doppelganger?" I ask him.

"I'm certain he does" Klaus states. "Now when we arrive I shall be possessing a body, Maddox already has one ready and has Katerina" he tells me.

"We will make her suffer for running for five hundred years" I tell him smiling. He nods his head in agreement. We arrive outside an apartment complex and go upstairs. He knocks on a door and a man opens it.

"Come in" he says in a monotone and we enter the apartment. He falls unconscious and I see Katerina on the ground unconscious and smirk as she starts to stir. Before she could wake fully, I snap her neck. Maddox and Greta do a spell placing Klaus in the man's body. Klaus himself is placed in a tall crate. A couple of men take it away and Greta goes with them to protect Klaus' body.

"Is everything prepared?" Klaus asks Maddox.

"Yes, Shyra will be doing work experience with you as a future teacher. The doppelganger is in your class" Maddox explains.

"Excellent" I say as I sit on the couch.

"There is something else you may wish to know Shyra" he tells me. I raise an eyebrow and nod at him to continue. "Your mother's descendant lives here, her name is Bonnie Bennett and she is a witch. Though has no power because of one of Elijah's warlocks" he explains.

Katerina begins to wake up and she slowly gets up looking at Klaus. "Alaric?" she says confused. As so that's the guy's name, good to know. She rushes over to the door but an invisible force prevents her from exiting.

Klaus slowly walks over to her and speaks in a Slavic accent. "Zdravei, Katerina" he says cupping her face in his hands. "I have missed you" he tells her.

"Klaus" she says shocked and looks at me. "Shyra" she says gulping.

"Thank you for being scared" I tell her. Over the next few days Katerina tells us all she knows of the Doppelganger and her life. Of Alaric's role in it. But it's time for Klaus and I to go to school. Klaus opens the closet and takes out 2 shirts. Katherine is tied to a chair while I sit on the kitchen bench filing my nails.

"Oh! Who is this guy, Safari Sam?" Klaus asks us showing us the two shirts. I giggle and go back to my nails. "Okay, bad, or badder?" he asks Katerina.

"The dark colors suit you better" she tells him.

"Oh, thank you, honey" he says.

"Okay, pop quiz. The dagger and white ash are in the Salvatores' possession, correct?" I ask her.

"The dagger was used to kill Elijah. You'll find him in the basement of the Salvatore house" she states.

"Okay, that dagger needs to stay exactly where it is. The last thing I need to do is resurrect Elijah. Oh, that guy is a buzzkill" Klaus says.

"Don't forget you're on the outs with your girlfriend Jenna" I remind him.

"Right. Elena's aunt. For all the lies about Isobel. What else?" he asks Katerina.

"That's it" she tells him. Klaus gets closer to her and touches her face. She seems afraid.

"Oh, so jumpy" Klaus says smirking.

"Please, just...kill me. I've told you everything that I know" Katerina pleads. Klaus puts his hands on the armrests on Katherine's chair and looks her in the face. While I hop off of the bench.

"You see, I believe that you believe that, but what would you not know? What could they be keeping from you? Hmm? Anything? Tell me" Klaus says compelling her.

"They were trying to see if Bonnie could find a way to kill an Original without a dagger" she tells him. That would take a very powerful witch and even then the witch would die during the process.

"Bonnie the best friend? I thought you said she didn't have her powers anymore" I say.

"She doesn't or didn't. I don't know. You kidnapped me, remember? I'm kinda out of the loop" Katerina states.

"Well, we'll have to get to the bottom of that" Klaus states.

"Please, just kill me, Klaus, and be done with it" she pleads.

"And show you kindness? I've searched for you for over 500 years. Your death is going to last at least half that long" Klaus tells her. He takes a single-blade pocketknife from his pocket, opens it, and holds it before Katherine. "I want you to take this knife...And stab yourself" he says. She takes the knife and stabs her thigh.

"Now take it out" I tell her and she does so. Her wound heals.

"Now while I'm gone, I want you to do that over and over and over again and if you get bored, switch legs" Klaus tells her.

"Where are you going?" she asks us.

"I'm gonna go lay eyes on my precious doppelgänger" Klaus tells her. He kisses her forehead.

"Oh, don't look so glum, Katerina. The fun is just beginning. Again" I tell her and we leave. Hearing her stab herself again. We go to the high school and find Alaric's classroom with little trouble. We enter to see the students already present.

"Hello class, allow me to introduce our guest. Miss Jones will be doing work experience here and shall be my assistant for the next couple of weeks" he tells the class.

"Good morning everyone" I say with a polite smile.

"Morning Miss Jones" they say together.

"What are we learning today?" Alaric muses as he looks at the black board.

"With the decade dance tonight, we've been covering the sixties all week" a girl states. I hold in a groan. I hated the sixties, the twenties were a lot better in my opinion.

"Right. The sixties" Klaus says and looks at the doppelganger. Before looking at the board. " I wish there was something good I could say about the sixties, but...Actually, they kind of sucked. Except for the Beatles, of course. They made it bearable. Uh, what else was there? The Cuban missile thing, the...we walked on the moon. There was Watergate" he explains.

"Watergate was seventies Alaric/Ric" the Doppelganger and I say together.

"I-I mean, Mr. Saltzman" she says sheepishly.

"Right. It all kind of mushes together up here, the sixties, seventies. Thank you, Elena and Miss Jones" Klaus says. Class continues and Klaus has one of the girls stay behind.

"Is something wrong Mr Saltzman?" she asks him.

"Nothing wrong love, my name is Klaus. I want you to ask Elena if she is going to the dance tonight" he tells her.

"Tell her he'll be there tonight and he's hot" I add compelling her also.

"You don't know where he is" Klaus adds and sends her on her way. "I need a drink" he tells me. We go to the Grill and order a scotch each. We were enjoying ourselves when he gets a text from one of the Salvatores. Telling him to go to the boarding house.

"Good luck" I tell him and he leaves. I finish my drink and go look for a 60s dress for tonight. I find a nice blue one and get my hair done. Before going back to the apartment and get changed. Klaus arrives and changes himself.

"You look stunning Shyra" he tells me.

"Thank you" I say and we leave for the dance. On the way he tells me the witch has her power and he plans to kill her. I was not thrilled at the news as she's my descendant. But I know better then to cross him. We arrive at the school and dance our way through the crowd to Dana and her date.

"Nice outfit Mr Salzman" Dana says.

"You look lovely Miss Jones" her date tells me.

"Thank you, Dana" Klaus says as I thank her date. "Now who is your date?" he asks her.

"It's Chad, Mr. Saltzman, from third period" the guy answers.

"Chad, of course. How would you and your friends like to earn a little extra credit?" Klaus asks him. He leaves with him and I compel Dana to dedicate a song to Elena from Klaus. She goes onto the stage and speaks into the microphone.

"Thanks for being here, everybody. We have a special shout-out tonight. This is for Elena. From Klaus" she announces as Klaus rejoins me. He raises an eyebrow at me and I shrug. A song starts to play and we smile. It was one of our favourite songs from the 60s. A guy starts to approach us and he nods at me to leave. I go to the punch bowl and listen in.

"Special dedication, huh? This guy's a little twisted" he tells the guy.

"I'm not impressed" the man tells him. He must be one of the Salvatores. Judging by his attitude, I'd say he's Damon. Klaus looks disappointed and looks at him.

"No?" he asks him.

"Let me know if you see anything out of whack" Damon tells him and leaves. I grab myself a drink. I notice Jeremy Gilbert leave and follow discretely. Chad and two other students are waiting for him.

"What's going on, guys?" Jeremy asks them.

"You okay, Gilbert? You don't look so good" Chad says.

"Dude, seriously? Wrong day, wrong guy" Jeremy tells him and the fighting starts. The two other boys grab Jeremy while Chad punches him in the stomach a few times. The other boys throw Jeremy to the ground and they all start kicking him. Stefan and Damon run over.

"Hey idiots" Damon says. One of the boys pulls out a crossbow and shoots a stake at Damon and it hits him in the shoulder. The other boys pull out weapons. "Let me guess...Klaus says hi?" he asks them.

Stefan rushes over to the boys and hits them. Damon grabs another boy and holds a stake up ready to kill him. "No, no, no, no, don't kill him. He's compelled" Stefan tells him.

"So?" Damon asks him.

"So, the whole thing's a distraction. Go find Bonnie and Elena. I got this. Go" Stefan tells him. Damon throws the boy against the lockers, knocking him out. Damon runs towards the dance floor. Stefan knocks the guys out and leaves with Jeremy. I step out of the shadows and wake the boys.

"Miss Jones, what happened?" Chad asks me confused.

"You gentlemen earned yourselves extra credit, well done. Return to the dance and forget this conversation" I tell them. And they leave. I gather the weapons and take them outside. Dumping them in Alaric's car. I then wait for Klaus to join me. Not wanting to return to the dance. He joins me about ten minutes later. "Well?" I ask him.

"She's dead and this body has out lived it's usefulness" he states. We get in the car and he drives us back to the apartment. Now there is nothing to stop him from breaking his curse.
