Irina Mikaelson is the twin sister of Klaus. She too is a hybrid. She was cursed along with Klaus by their mother a thousand years ago. They are finally going to break their curse. But then what? Follow Irina's journey through the Vampire Diaries and The Originals.

Irina's POV

"How does it feel sister?" Klaus asks me.

"Knowing that we'll soon be free?" I ask as I lounge on the couch.

"Yes" he says.

"Happy, I'll finally get to run with the wolves again" I say with a smile. He chuckles.

"You always did love your wolf form" he states.

"Do we have everything we need?" I ask him.

"Of course, the witches are getting the wolves and vampire as we speak. I'll retrieve the doppelganger" he states.

"You know, I'm a little hurt" I tell him with a pout. "They are all worrying about you and are trying to kill you. But not me and I want to break our curse as much as you do" I state.

"They seem to have no knowledge of you" he states.

"Strange" I say. "I think, I'll take a stroll" I tell him.

"Of course, I'll see you at the quarry" he states. I nod my head and kiss his cheek. Before leaving. I head for the town square.

"Hello Irina" Elijah says as he appears beside me.

"Hello Elijah, thought you were daggered in the Salvatore cellar" I say.

"I was, but Elena removed the dagger" he states.

"Interesting, they don't seem to know about me" I state.

"I haven't told them of you, I may want Klaus dead. But I don't wish you to be hurt Irina" he tells me.

"Let me guess, you want Klaus dead because of what he did to our family?" I ask.

"How can you stand by him? After what he did to them?" he asks me.

"Ask him and you'll find out" I tell him. "Besides, I want my curse broken. We swore Always and Forever Elijah. I trust those words still mean as much to you as they do me" I state.

"Of course" he says.

"Then do one thing for me Elijah before you try to kill my twin. Give him a chance to plead his case" I tell him. I notice the sun setting. "I'll see you soon big brother" I say and left him.

(Time skip)

"Hello girls" I say as I reached the quarry. "Where's my brother?" I ask the witch.

"He'll be here shortly" she tells me.

"Who are you?" the doppelganger asks.

"Why I'm Klaus' twin sister" I tell her with a smirk and she looks shocked. "Now truth be told, I hate having to kill you all with him. But it's the only way to break our curse" I state. "We both do it together or we'll never be free" I add.

"Greta, witches are supposed to maintain the balance in nature. It's your duty to them to keep this curse sealed" Elena tells her. I roll my eyes.

"My duty is to Klaus and his sister! The new order" Greta states.

"Glad to know I still have a dance partner aside from my sister" Klaus states as he finally joins us.

"Klaus!" I cheer and hug him. He hugs me back with a soft smile on his lips. He then looks at the three sacrifices.

"Hello, my lovelies. Are we ready?" he asks. I nod my head pulling away from him. The three sacrifices are still contained in the rings of fire. The wolf continues to moan in pain. Up on a nearby hill, Klaus retrieves the moonstone from his pocket.

"I've got the moonstone. I spent 500 years looking for this. I hate to part with it" he states handing it to Greta. She takes it and looks up at the sky.

"The moon has passed its apex. Remember everything you need to do?" she asks us.

"We remember" we assure her. Greta drops the moonstone into a stone bowl filled with flames. Sparks fly as the moonstone is destroyed. Greta begins chanting a spell in Latin. Klaus approaches the rings of fire.

He retrieved the wolf. Who tried to attack him. Once he had her pinned I join him. We lock eyes and plunge our hands into her chest grabbing her heart. Before ripping it out. She takes a final breath, tears streaming down her face, and dies.

Klaus and I take the heart over to Greta. We squeeze the blood from it into the fire bowl. Which sizzles. "Does that mean it's working?" I ask her.

"It's working" she assures us.

"Time for the vampire" Klaus states looking at me. I nod my head grabbing the stake. We head over to her. "Hello Jenna" he says. I hear someone arrive and look up to the top of the quarry. "I don't recall you being on the guest list" Klaus says looking at the vampire.

"I'm here to talk" he states. I share a look with Klaus. Who vamp-speeds up to the top of the cliff and walks calmly towards the vampire.

"What can I do for you, Mr. Salvatore?" he asks. As I stay by Jenna's fire circle. They talk briefly before joining us. "Quite the predicament. You know, it's funny, all this talk about preserving family, and here's Stefan, granting your wish" he tells the doppelganger.

"Stefan" she says with tears in her eyes. Oh so this is Stefan? The guy my sister dated in the twenties. He assures the doppelganger that it's ok.

"Who's it going to be, Elena?" Klaus asks pointing his stake between the two.

"No" she says shaking her head.

"Oh, don't worry. There's actually no choice" he tells her. Klaus vamp speeds around Stefan and stakes him in the back. Stefan screams in pain and crumbles to the ground. He rips the stake out of Stefan's back, leaving a sizable chunk of wood in his back. "I have other plans for your boyfriend. I want him alive. But for now" he says and snaps Stefan's neck.

Elena gasps in shock. "Whenever you're ready Greta" I tell her. She makes the ring around Jenna disappear. Jenna vamp speeds to Greta and ferociously bites her neck. Greta screams. Klaus and I vamp speed over to Jenna and stake her in the back. Pulling her off of Greta, who has fallen to the floor. Jenna gasps and we release her. She falls to the ground. Elena starts to cry.

"Jenna no!" she cries. Jenna looks up at Elena, tears in her eyes. "Just turn it off. Jenna. Turn it off. You won't be scared anymore" she tells her. Klaus flips Jenna over. She seems less frightened as we stake her in the heart together. "No! Jenna!" Elena cries.

Jenna's body starts to become grey and decayed. Klaus and I release our stakes. Standing up. Greta begins chanting the next part of the spell. Us by her side. Greta pours Jenna's blood into the ceremonial bowl. Klaus then goes over to Elena. It's time for the final part.

The circle of fire disappears from around Elena. Elena looks up at him. Klaus extends his hand towards her. Elena gets up from the ground and walks past Klaus, ignoring him. Elena makes her way to the altar and looks down at Jenna's body. Klaus follows her up to the altar and grabs Elena's face in his hand. Below them, Stefan struggles to get up from the ground. Klaus turns Elena's face so she is looking at him.

"Thank you, Elena" he says.

"Go to hell" she tells him as I stand on her other side. We remove the hair from her neck. We sink our fangs into her neck. Draining her dry as Klaus held her up right. As soon as we were down, he let her fall. Blood drips from our lips and the flame in the bowl is extinguished.

We breath heavily and walk down the stone steps. As I feel the curse breaking. "I can feel it. It's happening" Klaus states. I nod my head in agreement and look up at the full moon as my bones begin to break. Suddenly I hear another witch chanting as Klaus is thrown through the air.

"Klaus!" I shout and turn around to face the threat. To see the Bennett witch and other Salvatore. "You're suppose to be dead" I growl. She continues to chant her spell. Klaus' body contorts into painful shapes as he screams. "No one hurts my twin" I snarl and rush her. But she flings me away from her.

Suddenly she stops chanting. I look up to see Elijah approaching Klaus. "Hello, brother" he says. Elijah punches his arm into Klaus' chest, grabbing a hold of his heart.

"No, don't!" I shout with tears in my eyes.

"In the name of our family, Niklaus" Elijah says.

"I didn't bury them at sea!" Klaus shouts.

"What?" Elijah asks as I approach them.

"Their bodies are safe. If you kill me, you'll never find them" Klaus tells him.

"He speaks the truth Elijah" I tell him.

"Elijah! Don't listen to them!" the first Salvatore shouts.

"Stay out of this!" I shout glaring at him.

"Elijah. I can take you to them. I give you my word...brother" Klaus tells him. Elijah appears to be having second thoughts about killing our brother.

"Do it and I'll take you all out" the Bennett witch states.

"You'll die" I tell her.

"I don't care" she states. Elijah looks down at Klaus and then looks at me. I look at him pleadingly. He then looks at the witch and Salvatore.

"I'm sorry" he tells them. He grabs Klaus and I & runs away from the quarry. He took us somewhere safe and we finished our transformations.

I look at Klaus' wolf and yip happily. He shakes his fur and looks around. I howl and he looks at me tilting his head. I howl again and he joins me. We are finally free of the curse our mother placed on us. We stop howling and look at each other. I pop him with my nose and take off running. He growls playfully and follows me.
