As the fire of the burning pyre rose, he lost everything he had. She was leaving right in front of his eyes yet he couldn't help but watch the love of his life go. He had loved her with all he had and would have followed her in the blink of an eye but couldn't bring up the courage to do so because of the symbol of their love she had left in his arms. Wailing her heart out his one month old daughter extended her tiny palms in the direction of the pyre of her mother as if she knew this was the last time she would be seeing her.

They had dreamt of raising their child together, enjoying her childhood, witnessing her falls as she would learn to walk... they had even bet on whether their child would first say 'Maa' or 'Paa'. But never had he imagined that the dream they saw together would be so short lived and she would leave the two person she loved the most so soon. That broke his heart and scarred his soul for all eternity.

He didn't realize himself when those hard walls started building around his heart and the only one who could pierce across the walls was his daughter... whom he was adamant of keeping safe from all the harm.

Until one day... he realized that someone else held that power too.
