Reina stopped walking. Her school had a marvelous garden. It was filled with flowers of various kinds and species. She stopped near a rose bud. It was dawn. The sunrays played on the petals of the flowers. Normally she arrives early  in order to study in peace. One of the major attractions of school was this garden. She loved roses.

She stroked the flowers which had few drops on them. The cold drops felt somehow relaxing to her. She felt peace deep in her heart. How she wished to live in a house with a garden infront and someone to fill her love with love and affection.

Probably she will never get it...

She noticed the notice board. It was filled with  advertisements and job offers. A certain piece of paper caught her attention.

" A full time maid required for May. Living quarters are available for the whole month. Salary is of 50 dollars."

It's a lot . Reina decided to visit the place given in the address. She can spend her summer vacations in peace if she gets the job. She went inside her classroom to attend her classes which would start in a few minutes.

After school she took a bus to apply for the job. It was a bright day. The sun was high up in the sky. She would have walked but it was far. She unzipped her pencil bag and took out her old earphones. She connected it to her centuries old phone and turned on a nice soothing song. ( Spring day by Bts )

It took an hour to reach her destination.
She walked towards the given address and oh boy ! What a place it was !

The entrance was breath taking. It was full of lilacs hanging . She was knocked off by the garden which was obviously taken a lot of care. She stood there for five minutes to completely notice each and every plant.

She was busy looking at the flowers when someone behind her asked
" What business do you have here young lady ?"
She turned around and saw an old man with wrinkled face staring at her.
" Umm... I am here to apply for the position of maid . " she said and showed her the liftlet.

" I see. But aren't you too young ?"

" I may seem young but I am quite helpful. I support myself so I really need to have this job. I have my vacations starting next week so I will not have any problems ."

" You are willing to let go of your vacations? Very well. Come to work on 1st of May. You are accepted."

" Thank you sir. I will now take my leave."

" Call me Simon. I am the caretaker of this house."

" Ok Simon. " Reina bowed and took her leave.

She was happy after a long time. There is no need to work for the cafe and get abused at home. She would also be able to enjoy the beautiful view of the garden infront of the house. Though she hadn't seen the house as it seemed to a little away , she was sure it would be acceptable.

She hummed a tune to herself and took another bus to go home. She rested her head on the back of the seat.

Time Skip to 1 hr 32 min

"Miss where are you getting down ?" asked the man sitting beside her.
" Huh? " asked Reina who had fallen asleep.
" This is the last stop. " said the man .
" Oh man ! Holy shit ! I had fallen asleep. I missed my stop."
Reina jolted up and ran to get out of the bus. She had to walk home now. Gosh...
She finally reached home after another half an hour. As soon as she entered the house her father threw a broken piece of glass towards her. Thankfully it missed her.
" You brat! Where have you been ? Why are you so late ?"

Not again....she ignored him and went inside her room. Just one week.... everything will be alright. She will move from here. She will use the salary for renting a room somewhere for a few months. She needed to get away from him now. She has endured a lot and finally the time has arrived.
