Chapter 8
Crystal's P.O.V
I took a deep breath as I walked in the door. "What are you doing here, Mr. Kakashi? I thought you would be out enjoying your Saturday, not sitting in a room in an adoption agency," I asked stupidly. "Well, I thought a girl of your intelligence would be able to figure out why a man is sitting in a room specially designated for children to meet their parents. Do you get where I'm going with this, Crystal?" the lazy man asked. Wait, Mr. Kakashi, your my dad?" I asked completely dumbfounded. "Yes Crystal. By the way, your name isn't Crystal Elizabeth Reddow, it's Crystal Yumi Hatake.
Mr. Kakashi, the boring English teacher, is my dad. A million questions are swirling around in my head; what do I call him? Will people still like me? What will Naruto think? Will he think it's cool or will he ignore me? "Earth to Crystal. Is everything okay? Why are you crying?" my father asked. "Yeah. Everything's fine. What should I call you?" I wondered aloud as I wiped the tears from my face. "You can call me anything you want. In school, though, still call me Mr. Kakashi, okay?" he answered. "Okay. I think I will call you Dad. Is that okay?" I responded. "I love it. Do you want to get your stuff? I can drop you off, you just have to tell me where," Dad offered. " I can drive. Can you give me your address so I can get there?" I asked. "Okay. I kinda wanted to see where you lived though" he said, sounding kind of defeated. "You can drive me if you want, we just have to pick up my car afterwards," I said.
"So where did you live after your mom died?" Dad asked. "I lived - oh, turn right at this carner and three houses in is our destination," I said. The ride to the Uchiha household was short; only about ten minutes. "Hey Crystal, where ya going?" Itachi asked. "I am getting my stuff and going with Dad," I replied. "Do you want me to help?" he asked. "If you want," I replied as I passed him. "Okay. I'll be right there," Itachi said. Dad and Itachi talked and then helped me pack, but it only took about five minutes. "I'm gonna miss you, kiddo" Itachi said giving me a hug.
As we walked down the hall to the door, Sasuke pulled me into his room. "I'm going to miss you, but not as much as Itachi will," he said. I didn't respond, but walked out instead. "I was wondering if you were coming," Itachi said. "Yeah. I was coming." With that, I walked out of Sasuke's house and into my new life.
