Miko's POV

"Come on Miko, please go with us to go shopping!" Lucy begged me at school the next day, her doe eyes basically sparkling like stars, reminding me of a dog when they begged for a treat. I sighed, shaking my head at her

"I'm sorry but I can't, besides you do realize that the Geometry Test is coming up, you should be worrying more about that rather than the Homecoming Dance."

"But-"

"It's okay Luce, we can always ask Erza to come with us, or even Juvia!" Levy stated, trying her best to get Lucy off my back

"But I want Miko to come with us! It will be more fun with her around!" The bell rung, signaling for us to get to class. I closed my locker, adjusting my back pack straps over my shoulders

"I will see you guys later, and thanks again for the offer Lucy but I still can't go." I walked away from them, practically running to get to 3rd period which was Music Class. With music lightly blaring into my ears, I entered the class 3 minutes before the bell rang only Mr. Justine was present, currently doing paperwork. I placed my bag down beside my chair before sitting down, catching Mr. Justine's attention from underneath his reading glasses

"Miss Austral, you're early today."

"Yeah. Kinda wanted to be alone with my thoughts for a little while." I told him and he nodded, taking off his reading glasses and fully looked up at me

"Stressed about something?"

"Sorta. It's nothing to worry about Mr. Justine."

"You're my student it is only logical for me to feel concern for your well being. May I ask what is the matter?" I nodded before sighing, taking off my head phones to look at the engravings my mom did for me on my headphones

"Been thinking about my mom, every time someone finds out who's daughter I am they sorta freak out and not in a good way which confuses me because when she was still alive she was the most sweetest and awesomeness person I know, worked as a lawyer and had a normal life until she died from Cancer. It just makes me wonder ya know, plus my dad is slowly becoming more distant with me and comes home later than he usually does which worries me." I stopped my rambling about my problems, shaking my head, "Sorry about my pointless rambling of problems, I hate to worry you."

"It's fine, besides most teenagers you age go through this phase at least once in their lives so it's okay for you to tell me about your problems, it's normal." Suddenly the bell rang and the first student walked in, stopping our conversation from going any further

"I hope all goes well." Mr. Justine mouthed to me before getting up from his chair and walking over to a bookcase to grab supplies for the lesson.

(Time Skip)

It was the end of the lesson when I received a text, a text from Natsu

-Save me! My History Teacher is droning on and on about the history of jam!- ~Natsu

I giggled lightly before texting him back

-The history of jam? That's interesting considering we are currently learning about the French Revolution.- ~Miko

-Lucky! I would rather learn about the French rather than pointless jam! Anyways, what class period are you in?- ~Natsu

I walked towards 5th period, which is English.

-Just got done with 4th, heading to 5th now.- ~Miko

It took a minute for Natsu to reply back.

-Halfway through 2nd, also England is weird with their grading system and use of kilometers and how they say 'Math' they instead say it as 'Maths'. Weird.- ~Natsu

I rolled my eyes at his text taking a right turn.

"Hey Miko! Where are you heading?" Levy appeared at my side, catching me slightly off guard

"English. You?"

"History. Ooo... Are you texting your boyfriend?" My cheeks went slightly red

"Um, technically he isn't my boyfriend he hasn't asked me and I haven't asked him."

"What?! But you two kissed and GAH!" Levy dramatically yelled and I chuckled at her

"It's not a big deal, besides I think it's better to not rush into things before doing anything extreme."

"Being boyfriend and girlfriend is extreme to you? Girl there is more extreme things like-"

"Please don't finish that sentence." I jumped again and looked over to see Gray who was walking with Juvia. I stared confusingly at Levy and Gray, not knowing what is more extreme than that

"Miko, you do know what the 's' word is right?" I cringed, realizing what Levy was about to pronounce to me

"Yep she does." Gray dead panned and Juvia giggled at the look on my face

"Aww look at her face~! Good job Levy you made her feel uncomfortable." Juvia told Levy

"What? I didn't know that she didn't like that word!" Levy defended while I went back to texting Natsu who was probably patiently waiting for me to reply

-Sorry took so long for me to reply back, Levy, Juvia, and Gray are with me.- ~Miko

Not a second later, he replied.

-It's fine, I only learned the many uses of jam is all. And it's nice to hear that everyone is keeping you company when I can't 😋- ~Natsu

I smiled at that when I came to my classroom

"I will talk to you guys later." I waved bye to them and walked into the classroom

-Yeah they are great. Gotta go, video chat later?- ~Miko

-Yeah sure, see you later 🎶🎶🎵🎵🎧🎧💻💻- ~Natsu

I rolled my eyes at his use of Emojis before taking my seat and waited for the class to start.
