When the rain washes you clean
Damon didn't care who would be his first victim of the day, and the vervain was wearing off, he went on a blood binge. He wanted to do celebrate that he is still there, and be his reckless self. Whenever things didn't turn the way he had planned, the only way he knew how to deal with pain was to kick and scream and do something he would later regret deep inside of him. Although he was the older brother, he always found that Stefan was better than him in all that he did and had done. Father favoured his younger brother since he was born. After their mother's death, even more.
And when he thought he would have a day of complete indulgence and absolute freedom to do as he pleased, Rebekah stood in front of him, telling the poor woman Damon got hold off to leave, compelling her to forget about what she had experienced.
"Do you seriously want to leave a trail of bodies behind you?!"
"What do you care. My brother will sort this out. He is good at that. Maybe your brother will help him with it. You will have to go around and compel the whole town so they never knew that I plan to party and have a great time." he hissed at her.
Being stronger than he was she grabbed him and pinned him to a neighbouring tree.
"I am not happy about all that had happened in the last few days. But, this is suicide. You've already pissed Elijah off."
"Why do you care- and why should I give a damned about you Original lot. Your dear brother is not happy about you running that car with Elena and Matt down to the river!"
"Elijah would never hurt me- but you...hm...that's a different matter, and you are too hot, to be wasted like that."
"I know you get off on playing the dominant one- but it's not doing anything for me." Damon spat back at her.
She eased the grip now and looked at his eyes now compelling him to give up on the binge. Then she let him go.
He stood in front of her and cursed her for spoiling his fun.
"Elena is NOT the only woman...what is wrong with you all?!" the blonde Original said angrily.
"You know what, you actually are not far from the truth. Katherine, Elena...same- only maybe she talks more sweetly and that's about it. They both walk over your heart."
"See " Rebekah said.
"Anyway, where were you?"
Now things have calmed down and they talked as if they were best buddies.
"I had to lay low a few days. Elijah can get really angry. You never saw him when he is really angry...and I saw that he got her out of the water and...well, she wasn't feeling good."
She is right as rain now- and she is with your brother!" Damon exclaimed.
"I know.I saw them"
"Well, that went really fast. She's been playing little innocent for months. Elijah comes back and hop-she is in his bed!"
"How do you know they are in bed- that is not Elijah's style. He likes to court them."
"Court them? Please, who does that anymore?!"
"Elijah does!" Rebekah filled him in. "You really don't know anything...they have been meeting before the Ball. He chivalrously saved her from me."
"You're not kidding?!" Damon looked at the blonde.
"Nope!" she confirmed it with assurance.
In the Gilbert's house, Elijah and Elena were reveling in the moment after having disclosed how they felt and showered each other with kisses. The intensity of their hightened emotions took over, and Elena not being able to control hers either they found themselves in her room. She pulled the jacket and the shirt off of him in the manner she never thought she was capable of doing. He stopped for a second but Elena just pulled him onto her, kissing him insatiably. All of a sudden she pushed him away, still breathing heavy she started apologizing, covering herself up with a blanket and straightening her hair. He did the same.
"It's not that I don't want you."- she gasped-" I mean- it just felt something came over me and....ha...I never experienced anything like that."
"We both simply gave into it... I should have stopped-it's obvious the vampiric blood has taken over"
"It's so obvious that it has... but, I want you...don't think that I regret....any of this!" she moved towards him as he sat on the side of the bed. She kissed him softly. Just one touch from her would stir a whirlpool in him. He wanted to be one with her in that moment. She could see that he is struggling as well to keep the cool.
"Elijah..."- she said sweetly cupping his chin making him look at her now.
"I've desired this for so long"- he then said- "but I couldn't have imagined that I would react in such a manner. It's like my whole body wants to devour you.... and feels so lustful, and I can't seem to fight it."
"I won't break."
"I have never...been like this... and why towards you-"
"You are not going to...go?- she said sadly.
"GO?!- No... After you had declared how you felt...how could I abandon you, my sweet Elena?!"- he kissed her hands.
"We will then...just go out...and go slow?"-she suggested.
"Go out?"- he looked at her.
"I know there isn't much to do here... and inbetween trying to find Bonnie and Klaus'
body...we could go to the Summer festival?"
"We could!"- he said.
"Good."- she uttered.
He caressed her face then placed a peck on her lips. and then swiftly got dressed. She walked up to him after she had swooped as fast as she cool to put a dress that resembled a long T-shirt.
"So, I will see you later?!"- she said to him standing in front of him with a messed up hair, but all he could see is a gorgeous young woman whose heart beat with some anxiety but with great love, clear and honest.
He had only felt something at one moment with Tatia. But as he found her flirting with Klaus, his hopes had sunk immediately. And unlike Klaus, who had sexual relations with any pretty woman who would cross his path. He would not , although there had been maidens throwing himself at him. He resisted the lustful urges that the vampiric nature craved. The last time he actually had been with a woman was in the 14th century. Beatrice, the woman who had captured his attention was of Italian origin, married to a nobleman. It was an arranged marriage. Elijah and she would meet secretly. He had thought that finally he had found a kindred soul and that she was pure till he found that she had been a witch's daughter that used her to get to the Originals. The woman hadn't been under spell, she simply used him. When he had asked her if she had felt anything for him and when she cruly answered that she found him just attractive,it killed the belief in love and its purity. Hundred years onwards when he met Katherine, everything bout Tatia resurfaced. Wishing to save her was more than just a noble gesture, but then she showed little trust in him, which sealed his heart once again. This time he sustained from any sexual relations. When he had been informed that thee was a living doppelganger and when he first met her, was merely a meeting to verify that she was the real one. He only wanted to spare her, as at that time he had nothing else on his mind but not allow Klaus to break the curse. But learning more about her, what she feels, what she believes in, the way she stood up to him, challenging him openly, and subsequently showing him that all she did was based on an honest heart melted his heart of stone. As he had set down to write the apologetic letter when Rebekah had released her from the caves made his heart slump. He had acted too cruly, although she had betrayed his confidence, He, nevertheless, remembered the broken promise he had given her. So, his betrayal and then hers seemed to cancel each other out. His heart had already loved her and there was no escape. He had to leave, convinced that she would never feel anything for him. He had to come to her room to lay the letter on the bed, to be there with "her" for one last time. All that followed, and where he was now, he couldn't have anticipated, although a gypsy woman, who gave him the silver Claddagh locket told him that it was for his ray of sunshine, and that he needed to make his way back as a grievous misfortune was awaiting the one he loved. As the woman appeared she disappeared in thin air.
Standing in front of the Gilbert's house for a moment to collect himself, his thoughts were with her. Elena laid in her bed and smiled, closed eyes recalling his kisses.

Katherine, strangely, did as she was asked. She took a few units from the hospital bank. She had compelled a person to keep her on toes with all that was going on with the Salvatores, as well as with Klaus. To see that Elijah was back wasn't a great surprise to her. She had seen the way he looked at Elena. In her messed up heart she felt jealous that she had captured the handsomest Original. But, she cared more for the Salvatores and now she felt like she has once again a free path to their hearts.
At the Wickery Bridge, Jeremy cursed himself silently for having the gift of a medium. Klaus stood there in his ghost form.
"You, and your sister will find the witch who took my body and you will make sure I get back into it?!"- Klaus demanded.
"Or...? You can't do much to us now!"-Jeremy spoke at him with confidence.
"Don't ever think that I will not be able to find another medium to get through-"
"I only speaking with me now... I think that this time we are holding the cards!"
"Maybe, you are. But I am going everywhere you go. I found you and now I will not let it all go!"
Jeremy tried to shut the contact down and there for a slight second as he looked around, it seemed that Klaus was gone. Then he moved away from the spot, started running and when he looked back. Indeed Klaus was not there.
He let a sigh of relief out. But he felt someone standing next to him. This time it was noone other than Lexi.
"What is this -ghost visits today?"- he said.
"Sorry, Jeremy"- she said- " I need to warn you that Klaus has got a witch on this side who is trying to locate his body."
"So, the spirit world is now going crazy because he got transfered to their world?! Really?!"
"The spirit world is something of a maze, and we are not all together...but word travels here, and when someone like Klaus is sent over here and his body is still somewhere not properly buried, it causes great disturbances."
"So, the departed witches will help him? So, why is he asking help from me?"
"I don't know-but, my witch friend is telling me that his presence here is making some kind of disorder...something is not right. The covens of witches are not happy."
"Are we ever going to get rid of him?!"
"Well, I know you want to be free of all of them, but you can't, can you?!... I have to go..."- Lexi said.
"Wait..."- Jeremy wanted to talk to her more, but as she appear, so she just went.
Something wasn't right, he knew that, but since Lexi tried her damndness to contact him, felt like more trouble was on the horizon. He now hurried back to the house.
The day seemed to be more eventful, as Sophie receives information that the shamanas had been helping the werewolves strengthen to rise.
"Liv? -that means that they will try to resurrect the spirit of Hundings!?"
"Yes."- Liv confirmed- "There were sightings of them in Canada. I am on my way there tomorrow."
"Be careful! The shamans have already making it difficult for us. They know there aren't many of us
who can stand against them."
"You still don't want to use Expression?!"- Liv asked.
"It's dangerous, if you don't know how to control it, you get consumed by it. I am trying to find a witch that has dabbled in it here, and she is still nowhere to be found."
"You know how to find her!"
"I know...but I am a bit scared to use the dark magic."
"There's no other way."- Liv reminded her that when the push comes to shove, then she would have to do what she tried to avoid.
The two witches finished their conversation. Sophie tried to center herself and focus on finding strength and peace within herself to see if she could accomplish such a daunting task.
As Katherine returned to the Boarding house, so did Stefan, but Caroline and Matt were gone.
"Blood bags"- she said following Stefan into the kitchen- "I know I am late, but...had to check upon
what was going on."
Stefan threw his bags in the fridge, and she did the same. He was not amused.
"What's the point of going on like this...?- she said- "Damon is already with Rebekah!"
"So...she is back?!"
"You see...you are interested!"-
"It wouldn't be the first time."- he said. He could see the click in Katherine's eyes that she was annoyed with that information.
"I knew it!"- he said- "it bugs you!"
"She bugs me!"- she said irritated- "what has that got to do with anything?"
"Trying to figure out what you are up to! If you have come to play with us...I am really not interested... It looks like Caroline can take care of Matt....Damon has already found consolation..."
She got serious- "and you have nobody...although I am here- and I will give myself to you- all you want is Elena!"
"Let me be, Katherine!"- he said sternly and swished away from her. She was left standing peeved off. She wanted to go after him, but then she decided to stay. something crushed in her. she had been thinking of him even though he would always look at her making her known that he dispised her. She listened to the sound of her loneliness. As she heard of his room slamming she left the house.
Stefan stood silent for the moment and then like a tornado the rage just overcame him and he started throwing things around. He didn't care if he demolishes everything to the smallest pieces. He wanted to tear himself up if he could.
Rebekah and Damon were on the way to the House when they heard the crashing noise. They hurried. They both went up to where the noise was coming. They found Stefan throwing everything around his room. The place was completely trashed. Damon charged on him trying to contain him, but the rage and hurt in him was greater, so Rebekah had to pin him down. When she was sure that he calmed down, she let go. Stefan was now crying.
"Stop it, Stefan"- Damon knelt on the floor next to his brother- "It will be fine! Trust me!"- he now embraced his brother.
Rebekah looked at the endearing scenes of two brothers coming together.

Elijah walked back to the Mansion. As he entered it, he felt an unusual whiff of coldness in the place.
A woman, that appeared to be in her forties, with beautiful long hazel braided hair, in a long green dress greeted him.
"I suppose you are who I think you are!" Elijah said coolly.
The woman was calm not fearing the vampire and then introduced herself
"My name is Eilif. I am Esther sister...like you have been told by my messenger."
"Where is Klaus?" the vampire wanted to know, still not moving or showing any pleasant emotion to the woman.
"Your cousin is safe."- she said- " but at present I cannot tell you where his body is...not before we resolve the family matter and his allegiance to this family."
"What family? Klaus is my brother!"
"No. He is your cousin...as I am your mother!"
