Felicia X Reader
((Requested by: Chikono1019 hopefully this turns out alright, thanks for requesting! I'll be using the names that were used in the version of Fire Emblem I bought, so I'm sorry if you're used to different names!))
I looked up at the sky and then gazed at the floor. Had the path I had chosen been the correct choice...? I had pondered about this question over and over again. I kept trying to convince myself that the path I had chosen was the right one, but who could be sure?
"(Y/N)!" I heard a voice call out. It was Felicia. "Ah, hello." I said quietly, trying to act as if I was alright. She was carrying a tray holding teacups, and running towards me. Not a good combination.
It's bad enough that she can't serve tea while walking. Running will make the risk of her falling more high! "Felicia, slow dow-!"
CRASH! I watched her trip and the tray of tea hit the ground. I managed to catch her before she could hit the ground, though. Yet the tea cup parts were scattered across the floor now...
"Oh no! Ugh..." She whimpered in distress. "Felicia, take better care of yourself! You almost fell!" I said as she regained balance. "I'm sorry, (Y/N)...I'm such a terrible maid..."
I noticed she looked ready to cry, so I took it upon myself to cheer her up. "Hey, it's not so bad. I mean, at least you made it out without a scratch!" I exclaimed.
"Yes, but I want to be able to serve tea properly! I want to be a good maid and not break everything I touch, as I've mentioned before!" Felicia said and looked at her feet.
"I'm sure you'll become a better maid, it just takes time! Don't worry about it!" I said with a smile. She sighed and looked up at me. "I hope you're right...sorry that I couldn't bring you the tea. I'll start cleaning this up." Felicia said and bent down to clean it up.
"Maybe you should let Jacob take care of it?" I suggested, but Felicia insisted on taking care of it herself.

I decided I should distract myself before I got more stressed than I originally was. I stood up and walked over to my private quarters, where I laid down and slept the rest of the day away.
"(Y/N)? (Y/N), wake up!" I heard a voice shout, shaking my shoulder so that I would stop dreaming.
"Ngh...Jacob? Is that you...?" I asked, opening one eye. He looked worried. I took a quick glance outside and noticed it was still dark. "Why are you waking me up when it is still nighttime?"
"Please, you must wake up! We're under attack!" Jacob said quickly, pulling me up from my bed in a hurry. "Under attack...?" I mumbled, still not fully awake.
As we rushed out of the building, I grabbed my Yato and looked out to see how bad the situation was. Everyone seemed to be somewhat injured, even some of the best fighters.
How had I managed to sleep through all this? Jacob began tending to people's wounds, leaving me alone to fight off the monsters. I tried to see who was in danger that I could help out.
"Kyaaaah!!" I heard a voice cry out. I instantly recognized the voice. "Felicia!" I shouted, rushing towards the direction of the scream.
As I ran, I noticed a big group of Faceless crowding around something or someone. I sighed...just like Felicia to get herself into a mess like this.
"Take this!" I yelled out, taking a running start and slashing a Faceless while it's back was turned to me.
"(Y/N)!" Felicia cried out in joy. I killed a few more of the faceless before Felicia hugged me tightly. "I'm so sorry, I-I was just trying to help...! I can't even fight properly...I'm sorry." Felicia said with a sigh.
I smiled at her and patted her head. "It's all right, I should be the one apologizing for not coming sooner." I said reassuringly.
"Rrag..." I heard a faceless growl. Just as I had turned my attention towards the monster, it attacked. I gasped and closed my eyes tightly, preparing to take the attack.
"(Y/N), no!" Felicia cried out. In one quick motion, Felicia broke away from the hug and took a hit for me. I gasped, watching as the monster scratched Felicia and making a big cut on her.
I gritted my teeth and ran at the monster. "This...ends...now!!" I shouted, attacking the monster till it was no longer anything but a pile of dust.
After that had been taken care of, I crouched down towards Felicia and took a look at her wound. She was bleeding badly. "Jacob!" I shouted, hoping he was nearby so he could heal her.
Jacob luckily was near, so he was able to heal Felicia, though she was still stuck in terrible conditions....
"(Y/N), her injuries are beyond me right now...please, focus on the battle, I shall carry Felicia over to safety." Jacob insisted, beginning to carry Felicia.
"B-but what about Felicia?! Will she be alright? I want to make sure that she-!"
I was cut off by an abrupt roar and the sound of one of my comrades shrieking. "Please, don't worry yourself with her! You need to help fight right now! Please...she'll be all right, I can assure you of that."
I weighed my options, but quickly decided I had to take that reassurance and leave. I nodded and began to run off.
'Dammit Jacob...please don't let her die!' I thought worriedly as I began to finish off the last of our invaders.
(Time Skip)
I sat next to Felicia what seemed to be like hours. If I wasn't so absent minded, she wouldn't have been in this mess right now!
That guilt kept me planted in my seat, awaiting her to open her eyes.
Jacob came around to serve me some tea and keep me company, but it didn't ease my nerves. I felt too guilty and stressed to eat a thing. I found myself falling asleep, until I had completely drifted off.
...
A few hours passed by till I was awoken by the sound of giggling. I opened one eye sleepily and saw Felicia, her eyes open and watching me. I had fallen asleep on the bed she had been placed on...! Right next to her!
My face flushed red and I sat straight upright. "Ah, good morning! Sorry if I woke you up, (Y/N)! Y-you just...looked so cute while sleeping! Like a little bunny..." She said with a small giggle.
I blushed even more and noticed the pillow I had slept on had some drool on it...to my horror I reached up to my lips to find the drool had come from me..!
"Oh no!" I cried out, "I'm so sorry, I-I didn't mean to fall asleep! I must've made you uneasy, you know, sleeping next to you while you were unconscious...and I even drooled! I'm so sorry...!" I said frantically, covering my face in embarrassment.
Felicia waved her hands. "Oh no! Don't feel bad! It's fine! It's actually a real honor to have shared the same bed as a royal...I should be apologizing! I'm merely a maid...s-surely I'm not worthy to sleep next to you!"
I peeked through my fingers at Felicia. "Do you think I really view you as just a maid? Pfft, Felicia, you're more than just a maid! In fact, you're my hero for saving me the way you did back out during the invasion!" I stated.
Felicia shook her head and looked at the floor. "I-I was only doing my duty as maid! I just thought I should repay you, f-for putting up with me and all my flaws...! I'm still a maid through and through..."
Even after her heroic act, she still refused to give herself credit... It probably pissed me off more than it did to her.
"Felicia, you're not a maid to me..." I said with a chuckle. She looked up at me curiously. "I mean, by appearance you may be, but...I am really thankful for all you do for me...and If you won't see how great you are, maybe I'll just have to fix that!"
"Thankful? B-but I'm so clumsy! I can't even be your maid properly..." She whimpered and sighed. "But you don't fail all the time! You care for me when I'm sick, you help me in battle, you've been there for me. Isn't that what any person could ask for?"
"W-well..."
"If you still think you're not good enough for me, here!" I shouted, leaning towards her and kissing her, straight on the lips.
My eyes were closed, but by secretly peeking through one eye, I could see her face flush a deep red. She soon fell into the kiss, putting a hand on my cheek and kissing me deeply.
When I pulled away, she looked at me with an unsure face. "(Y/N), I-I don't know what to say-!"
"You don't have to say anything. I'm sure by now you must know I've fallen in love with you." I said, a smile creeping across my lips. Felicia giggled and touched her lips, still in shock.
"Oh wow...I can't believe this is r-really happening..!! I must be dreaming..!"
"Should I kiss you again to make sure it's not a dream?" I asked, holding her hand in mine. She covered her face with her free hand.
"T-that won't be necessary..!!"
"Felicia, do you...love me?" I asked, looking into her eyes through the gaps between her fingers.
"Of c-c-course I do!! More than anything in the world!" She insisted, breaking out of her embarrassment and hugging me tightly around the waist.
I laughed a bit and hugged back. "I'm really glad to hear that," I said with a happy smile, "I would pick you up and twirl you around, but your injury..." I said sadly, looking down at the bandages wrapped around her stomach area.
She held my hand and giggled. "(Y/N), I'm fine! Please don't stress about my wounds." Felicia said with a smile. "How could I not worry? It's my fault after all... I'm going to help you until you get better!" I stated heroically.
"W-what?! No, I couldn't possibly ask you to do that! I'm supposed to help you!"
"I've already made up my mind!" I said and grinned at her. She sighed and looked at her hands that were folded in her lap.

So I spent the next few days helping out Felicia with whatever she needed. She had trouble walking with such an intense injury, so I helped her along the way.
It was difficult trying to convince her that Flora and Jacob could clean the dishes and serve the food without her help. She felt so...useless. I could see it in her eyes.
So whenever I saw that glimpse of lost hope in her eyes, I would kiss her on her forehead and remind her that she wasn't useless.
By now, Felicia was doing beyond amazing with her recovery, and she no longer needed help walking! But when I woke up, I was surprised to see Felicia not next to me, lying in bed.
"Hnn...Felicia?" I asked sleepily, rubbing my eyes and yawning. Suddenly, I sat straight upright and looked around. "Felicia?" I asked again, a little louder this time.
I ran out of bed and grabbed my Yato. I looked around, asking person to person where she could be. She was still in bad condition, something bad could happen!
"Flora!" I said breathlessly. "(Y/N), how nice to see you. What do you need?" She asked with a calm smile. I relaxed a bit. "Have you seen Felicia?" I crossed my fingers, hoping she would have a clue as to where she was.
"Hmm...I believe she went out of castle grounds, claiming she saw a beautiful set of flowers out in the distance! She wanted to use those flowers and give it to you and thanks for taking care of her. She left a little long ago, but she's probably fine."
My eyes went wide and I zoomed off in hopes of finding Felicia. I had an idea what flowers they were.
I heard a distant cry and followed its sound. What a surprise, Felicia. But she had gotten herself caught in a trap and was now at the top of a tall tree, captured by a net.
"Felicia, are you nuts?! I asked and she sighed. "I'm so sorry (Y/N)! I just...I just wanted to show how happy I was that you had taken care of me...and that y-you had shown me...l...love..!" She said, and I couldn't help but smile.
Before I could climb the tree, I noticed a bunch of Faceless headed straight for Felicia! "Hang on, I'll deal with this!" I insisted and ran off to kill them off.
I killed off more and more, but no matter what I did, more and more just kept coming. "(Y/N), t-there's too many!" Felicia shouted. "Just run and get help!"
"And leave you here helpless? No way! I can do this!"
"So I suppose you won't be needing our help?" I turned around to see Flora and Jacob, just in the nick of time, too. "Oh thank goodness you two are here!"
Soon, all the faceless disappeared, and Flora was able to cut down the rope trapping Felicia. She fell into my arms, surprisingly landing bridal style. After a moment of use both looking at each other, we laughed and smiled at each other.
"How'd you know I was in trouble?" I asked. "Well, I decided to follow you guys in case some trouble did happen. I also thought you might need some help finding Felicia." Flora said with a chuckle.
"Thank you." I said happily and leaned in to kiss Felicia, not of course before Flora stopped us and gave me a death glare. "I realize you have fallen for my sister...if you dare do anything to hurt her, you will pay a very costly price..." Flora threatened.
"I-I won't, I promise!" I said, hoping she would spare me...
"Oh! I saved the flowers I was going to get you!" Felicia said happily, holding out a bouquet of beautiful white roses. "It's beautiful! Just like you." I said and she giggled in return.

Maybe it isn't right for a noble to marry a maid, but I'm willing to risk any price to be with Felicia. Her flaws make her all the more lovable! I just can't help myself...
No matter what stands in our way, well, love conquers all.
((Aaaagh this was my first Fire Emblem one shot so I'm very sorry if I did it poorly! I promise the next one will be better! Thank you for reading this and making it to the end >w< ))
