Storm
Sometime after the Endgame. Anna
"Mama..." Lucina poked my face. "Mama, wake up."
I grumbled as my eyes slowly drifted open. My four-year-old daughter was sitting at my side, cheeks puffed out. "What is it, sweetheart?" I groaned, sitting up.
Before my daughter could say anything, a loud crash of thunder echoed throughout the quietness of the castle. Right...there's a thunderstorm. I should've known, they're very common during the summer. I looked over to my husband who was still sleeping soundly. Gods, he must be really tired if he can sleep through that.
Another crash was heard and the cries of a baby sounded in the other room. I rubbed my eyes. "Alright, just a moment, Luci. I need to check up on your little brother," I yawned, crawling out of bed. "Stay with your daddy, ok? But don't wake him up. He needs rest."
Lucina nodded, tucking herself under the covers.
I quietly padded into the nursery and over to Morgan's crib. The blue-haired infant was wailing and thrashing about, reaching out for comfort. "Shh...shh...it's alright, Little Prince. Mama's right here..." I took him into my arms and began to soothe him. I rubbed his little back, lightly bouncing him up and down while keeping him in my embrace. "The thunder won't hurt you, love. Mommy won't let it."
Once he settled back down, I set him back in his crib. He did not like that. As soon as he lost my contact, he began to whimper and reach out for me.
"Oh dear, it seems both of my children need my attention right now," I giggled softly. I picked Morgan up once more and carried him to the bed.
I set Morgan down right next to Lucina, making sure his head was supported by the pillow. I finally got under the covers and hugged my children close. "Now, what is the problem, Luci?"
The little princess huddled closer to me. "I don't like the storm. It's scary."
I pet her soft blue hair. "Well, why are you afraid of it?" I whispered, careful not to wake Chrom.
She rubbed her eyes with a tiny hand. "I'm scared that it'll hurt me," she mumbled. "I know mages can use lightning as magic to hurt people."
The image of Chrom being impaled by my Thoron blast flashed through my mind. I quickly shook it away. "Sweetheart, magical lightning and natural lightning are different. Trust me." I kissed her forehead. "I specialize in lightning magic. You know that, right? I know all about it and what it can do. And I promise that it will never hurt you. I will make sure of that."
Her tired eyes struggled to stay open. "Ok..."
I smiled. "Can I tell you a secret?"
That seemed to perk her right up. "Yeah!"
"Shh, quiet! You'll wake your father!"
"Sorry!" she whispered back.
I giggled. "I'm terribly frightened by thunderstorms."
Lucina gazed at me in awe. "Really? But I thought you said you use lightning all the time!"
"I do," I sighed. "And that's why I'm so scared of it. Whenever I hear thunder, it reminds me of battle. It makes me think that I'm currently battling." The countless battles I have fought replayed in my head, the thunder crashing around us. "But you want to know what?"
"What?"
"I'm not as scared of it as I used to be," I said. "Having you to protect, I know I can fight it off. I won't let it hurt my family, and I know I can win a battle that involves saving my family."
"Wow..." Lucina yawned. "Can I protect my family against lightning?"
I chuckled. "Of course, love."
Suddenly, Chrom's arm draped over me, pulling us all close to him. "I'll protect you all..." he mumbled. I wasn't sure if he was awake or not. It was common for him to say heroic things in his sleep.
I smiled at my family. Our newest member was sleeping soundly, Lucina was fighting to keep her heavy eyes open, and the man who had gifted me with such a wonderful family had a faint smile on his sleeping face.
I bent down and kissed Lucina's little blue head. "Get some rest, my love. The rain will be gone in the morning."
"Ok, Mommy..." With that, her eyes finally shut.
I placed a hand on Chrom's, which was resting on my shoulder. "I'll shelter you all from the storm. You are my everything."

We need more blueberry family in our lives. Ironically enough, I just made blueberry muffins for breakfast. XD So this ties into my theory that Robin has a bit of a phobia of thunder and lightning. Even though they use it in combat, it reminds them of the battlefield and it shakes them up a bit. Also, it adds for a lot of hurt/comfort for Chrobin <3 . I also wanted an excuse to add Song of Storms. Thank you so much for reading and look forward to reading more!
