"It's just not fair!" Liza screamed. "Why did physics have to be this way?! It just ain't fair!" She cried out, once again. In anger, she shot a fireball across the room, and it hit a wooden chair, burning it.

   Liza's mother sighed, and walked over to where her angered daughter was sitting. "Honey, I know it's not fair." She said, giving her daughter a hug. "But it was just meant to be this way. Water puts out fire. After all, there is a reason they do. Fire is dangerous." Her mom explained. Liza smirked. We're Dangerous... She thought. Still, She shook it off. "But.. Mom.. Still.." She complained. "Well, maybe fire can't defeat water, but it can burn plants!" Her mom suggested. Liza just rolled her eyes. "Leaves get burnt because they are defenseless." She said.

   Suddenly, Liza got an idea. "You know what, mom?" She started. Her mom didn't answer. "What?" She finally asked. "I'll be the first Firegirl to defeat water!" She exclaimed. Liza's Mom rolled her eyes. "Uh-huh. How do you ever expect to do that?" She asked. "With a bucket, a scarf, and my firepower!" She smirked, punching her fist in the air. "Uh.. Two items to help isn't much." Her mother grimaced. "Just wait. You'll see." Liza said. She grabbed a bucket, and a new, blue scarf that hadn't even been removed from its packaging yet. Liza ran outside.
  
   "Hey! Marie!" Liza yelled, angrily. Marie was an expert watergirl. No Firegirl dared speak to her. She could put out their flames in an instant. Marie turned around in anger. She shot a burst of water Liza's way. Liza, with quick reflexes, used her bucket to protect herself and catch the water. Then she threw it aside. "What do you want, puny flame?!" Marie yelled.. "Marie.. I want to challenge you to a fight.. In 30 minutes... Meet me back here in THIS spot." Liza yelled back. At first, Marie looked shock, but then started to laugh. "It seems you have a death wish, little miss flame." She laughed hysterically. All the water girls snickered. "Alright, meet you here. AND DONT BE LATE, PUNY ONE!" She screamed, laughing. She walked away. Liza smirked to herself. Plan Fire was in commission!

   In almost 30 minutes, there were many Firegirls and watergirls (not to mention Liza's mother) were watching, and waiting for the fight to begin. Marie and Liza were both walking together to the place they would stage the fight. When no one noticed, and before they both reached the arena, Liza passed the scarf to Marie. "What's THIS?!" Marie asked suspiciously. "Well, before I fight, I like to wish the other person good luck, and give them a gift of good luck, too!" Liza smiled.
Marie frowned, scrunching her eyebrows. "This better not be a bad luck charm.." She warned. "It isn't, I promise!" Liza smiled and blinked prettily. Marie squinted her eyebrows suspiciously at Liza, but unknowingly put it on. Liza smirked to herself. Soon the fun would begin!

   When they walked into the battle spot, the crowd of water girls and fire girls surrounded them in a large circle. None of them could escape if they wanted to. It was a life-or-death match. Marie, in a fighting stance, stared deep into the eyes of Liza. She sent her a powerful, vengeful vibration that only a true enemy could sense. As quick as a light flashing, Marie sent a waterfall-sized blast of water towards Liza. With cat-like reflexes, Liza caught most of the water in her large bucket. Some of it landed on her bare skin on her right arm. Sizzle! It hurt. It was the feeling of getting burned, only for her, it was the feeling of getting extinguished!

   Despite her injury on her right arm, she angrily thrust her water bucket forward, which made the water thrust and spill over Marie's face. It didn't hurt her, since she was a watergirl, but she stopped to wipe the water that landed in her eyes.

   This was Liza's chance! She sent fire flying, aimed at Marie's scarf. Since it was a very vulnerable material, it set on fire, scalding the vulnerable Marie! So all we needed was something to start the fire... Liza learned. Marie's water was getting heated by the flames! "HOT!!!" Marie screamed! She started frantically jumping around. The other watergirls started shrieking and ran after the wild Marie, trying to help her and pull the scarf off! Liza laughed. So did all the other fire girls! They cheered! At last, water had finally met its match!

And that, is how, amazingly, fire beat water.
