Night time came in fast and soon everyone was settling down with a nice bowl of soup.

"He's been a long time." Bilbos said pacing back and forth with nerves. Amanda watched him with a soft smile know he was worried if Gandalf would even return.

"Who?" Bofur asked dumbfounded by he statement. Amanda walked over to Bofur to get a plate of soup for eating. She waited until he had plated several up.

"Gandalf." Bilbos said in a stating way.

"He's a wizard! He does as he chooses. Here, do us a favor: take this to the lads." Bofur told him handing him two plates of soup for Fili and Kili. Bilbo nodded and turned to leave before Amanda stopped him.

" Hey, wait. I will go with." Amanda said taking a bowl from Bofur.

" Thanks." She muttered to him and quickly followed after Bilbo. Bombur tried to take some more soup but Bofur slaped his hand away.

" Stop it, you had plenty." He scolded his brother sternly. Amanda brined as she walked away from the camp sit and towards the ponies. She eat the soup on the way. It was not the best of soups but it was pleasant on the tongue. With a meat that she was not quite sure about.

" Evening boys, Bilbo has brought you your soup." Amanda smiled softly to them. But the did not move as Bilbo out the bowls out for them too take. They stood still next to each other staring towards the ponies.

"What's the matter?" Bilbo asked them curious as he tried to fins what they were looking at.

"We're supposed to be looking out for the ponies." Kili said not taking his eyes away from the group of ponies.

" Yes?" Amanda said making them say more.

"Only we've encountered a slight problem." Fili finished off Kili's sentence for him.

"We had sixteen." Kili said still not looking in any other direction.

"Now there's fourteen." Fili said with a hint of fear in his voice. Amanda rolled her eyes and stepped out toward the ponies.

"Daisy and Bungo are missing." Kili said after he followed Amanda's lead checking the ponies.

"Well, that's not good. That is not good at all. Shouldn't we tell Thorin?" Bilbo said while still holding the brothers soup bowls. Amanda nodded and quickly poured the last of the soup in her bowl into her mouth and placed it on a near by branch.

"Uhh, no. Let's not worry him. As our official burglar, we thought you might like to look into it." Fili said to Bilbo, Amanda couched slightly choking on her soup as Kili rushed over to her. Amanda bent over trying to clear her throat as she hit her chest. He pats her back worryingly as Bilbo looks at several uprooted trees that now lay on the floor.

"Well, uh...look, some--something big uprooted these trees." He stated the clearly obvious as Amanda straighten herself and sighed finally clear of her choking.

" You okay?" Kili asked quietly and Amanda nodded softly in response not trusting her voice just yet.

"That was our thinking." Kili said to Bilbo as they continued to looked around at more uprooted trees.

"Something very big, and possibly quite dangerous." Bilbo stated with fear in his voice clearly evident.

"Hey! There's a light. Over here! Stay down." Fili rushed forwards followed closely by the others as they rushed towards the light and hid behind a log. Amanda knew what is was as she saw the fire and heard the harsh laughter.

"What is it?" Bilbo asked with the soup bowls still in hand.

"Trolls." Amanda growled lowly at the same time as Kili. They ran towards the fire again as Bilbo follows them, but quickly returned to grab the bowls he had left on a log, before quickly catching up to them. The four hid behind a tree and looked at three large mountain trolls. One was walking towards the other two that were around a fire while carrying two ponies, one under each arm.

"He's got Myrtle and Minty! I think they're going to eat them, we have to do something." Bilbo silently cried as he saw the poor ponies being placed into a pen with two others.

"Yes; you should. Mountain trolls are slow and stupid, and you're so small." Kili said turning to Bilbo.

"N--n--no--" Bilbo said shaking his he sharply.

" No way." Amanda growled lowly in a protective way.

"They'll never see you." Kili protested.

"No, no, no..." Bilbo said to him. Amanda reached forward and pulled Bilbo behind her looking to Kili.

" Not a chance." Amanda glared at him.

" Then what do we do?" Fili asked as Amanda began to think about their next moves.

" You three, go and get Thorin. I will stay here and make sure that nothing happens." Amanda said with a nodded.

" I will not leave you here alone. Not with trolls but a few feet away." Kili growled lowly to her.

" And your unarmed!" Fili said right after him, Amanda rolled her eyes and reached for Kili's sword, pulling it out its sheath.

" Not anymore, now go!" She commanded them. Kili reluctantly nodded and was the last to leave. Amanda sat at the log looking out to the trolls with a smirk. She could not let Bilbo go into this as it will just give more cause for Thorin to hate him.

Amanda took in a beat breath to steady her heart and stood up. She quickly and silently made her way through the forest and round the back of the trolls. Holding the sword in her hand her rushed silently over to the pen where they kept the horses and sliced the rope. The horses rushed out from the pen causing a lot of noise, attracting the attention of the trolls. Amanda rushed over to a ponies and jumped into the air to try and mount on bareback. But failed when a troll caught her legs.
