Chapter 12: What?

A group of seven elven guards on horseback from Rivendell patrolled the Ford river, not too far from Rivendell. Their horses hooves beat agains the pebble riverbank as they scouted the area to make sure there was no orcs.

" Over here!" An elf guard yelled out to the company. They all spun their horses around and rushed over to the guard. He was dismounted and kneeling next to a body that was next to the river.

" Who is she?" Their leader ask him.

" I do not know." As he placed a hand onto the small woman's chin to till her head towards them. Her eyes snapped opened and widened as the woman launched her fist at the elf. She caught him by surprised and smacked him in the jaw. She pushed herself to her feet and back away looking up at the large beings on large horses. The elf she punched held his jaw and clambered to his feet. The woman back away and turned around running off quickly in fear. Her breathing was heavy and she could hear the pounding of the horses behind her. She knew they would catch her easily and they did. They circled her stopping her from going anywhere. She looked around at the elves as they stopped their horses and aimed their now loaded bow at her.

" Amanda!" Bofur yelled he and almost every other dwarf tried to wake her but fail. He sighed and looked to the others.

" Come on, she will wake on her own. Let's go and take a bath!" Bofur cried as and the others walked out the room. Amanda was given her own room, but ended up falling asleep with them last night. The men all left and Bilbo went else where, not really fancying bathing with dwarves. Kili was the only one to stay behind as she sat on a seat and waited for them to leave him and Amanda alone. He stood up and walked over to her, laying down next to her small frame. He pulled her into his arms and held her against his chest. He kissed her head and sighed. Just holding her like this made him feel whole. It made his heart feel complete and warm.

" I lurve yhow." She groaned against his chest as he chuckled.

" And I love you." Kili answered back a she snuggled closer to his chest. Amanda lifted her head and looked to him. Kili looked down to her and leaned further down to place his lips onto hers gently.

" Good morning, my love." He whispered as Amanda chuckled gently.

" I could get used to waking up like this." She said kissing him again.

" Where are the others?" She mumbled gently as he sighed tightening his embrace around her.

" Bathing." He said as Amanda giggle.

" That would be a sight." She muttered to him and he laughed.

" Trust me. Not something your eyes should ever see." Kili said with a protectively growl under the words. Amanda sighed and silence fell upon them.

" I'm hungry." She muttered gently as Kili sighed with a chuckle.

" Come on then. Let's get that belly of yours filled. You need it. Your too small." Kili smirked as he tickled her. Amanda burst into laughed her she tried to stop him.

" No stop! I seriously will not be held responsible for any injuries you will sustain if you continued!" She yelled between breaths. Kili stopped and stood up to hover over Amanda as she lay on her back looking up to him. He put her hands out and he took them, he then quickly lifted her to her feet. She crashed into his chest and she wrapped her arms around his middle. They hugged and then kiss before walking down the halls again. They laughed as they pushed each other. But they stopped when they heard the sound of an elven horn echoed through the valley. Amanda looked in the direction and saw the group of elves riding over the bridge.

" They do not sound the horn unless something has happened." Amanda muttered as she took Kili's hand and rushed towards the elves.

" Love, this is none of our business." Kili tried to reason with her but she only dragged him towards them. She stopped in the courtyards as they all pulled to a stop.

" Where is the Lord Elrond?" One of the elven guards asked in elvish. Amanda looked to him and shrugged.

" I do not know." She answered as she watched a elf ride up with someone on the horse with him. Amanda watched as a black velvet bag was ripped off her head. A gag had been tied to her mouth to keep her quiet, but it proved to do no such thing and she let out muffled yells. Mostly likely insults to the elves, who had bounded her hands in front of her. Amanda's breath caught in her throat.

" HOLY SHIT!" Amanda yelled she rushed over and pulled the woman from the horse. Kili helped her and place the woman to sit down. The woman looked at Amanda stunned. Muffling a yelled that sounded like 'holy shit.'

" Who is this" Kili asked her amazed at the blue eyed woman in front of him.

" An old friend." Amanda said as she went to take the bounds off the woman's wrists. But stopped when a elven sword was placed on her neck. Amanda stopped moving and stared at the blade. Kili jumped and pulled his from his sheath and pointed it to the elf who held the blade to his love's throat. The other guards took their blades out and pointed them at Amanda and Kili.

" Leave the woman alone. She is our prisoner." The elf growled to Amanda.

" She is my friend!" Amanda spat back to him.

" What is the meaning of this?!" A low voice grumbled as Thorin rushed into the court yard. He pulled out his weapon when he saw the blade at Amanda's throat and half a dozen pointed at Kili.

" The wench tried to set our prisoner free." An elf spat at him.

" Be careful with your words, elf. That so called 'wench' is part of my company. I suggest you put your sword away... Now." Thorin growled to him.

" You forget you have no power here, dwarf! This is not your lands." The elf spat down to him.

" Bite your tongue! How dare you speak to him in such way." Amanda spat standing up and turning around to face the elf.

" And how dare you speak to me like that. I hope you know exactly who you are talking to." Amanda growled to him her eyes shining slightly gold.

" I know I am taking to a dwarf lady who does not know her place when talking to an elf!" He yelled to her pressing the blade against her neck harder. Kili jumped forward along with Thorin but Amanda stopped them by lifting a hand.

" You dare insult me by calling me names!" Amanda growled to him, her voice changed slightly. Almost like another low sounding voice spoke with her normal voice.

" I am not of dwarven kind, I am Dragonborn! And you will lower your blade from me and my friends immediately!" She growled to him. The elves faces paled and they immediately sheathed their weapons and sunk down onto one knee.

" Please forgive our actions. We did not mean to insult you, my lady." The elf said in a deep bow. Thorin and Kili sheathed their blades as Amanda turned around and pulled the bounds from her friends wrists as she continued to stare at Amanda. She reach up and pulled her friends gag from her as Amanda's friends threw herself onto her and hugged her tightly,

" It's you... It's really you... No one else would yelled like that." She laughed with joy as she hugged Amanda.

" It's me. It's really me." Amanda muttered as she pulled back from her friend.

" What are you doing here?" Amanda said placing her hands onto the girls cheeks. The girls blue eyes searching to make sure Amanda was real.

" I... I was looking at your paintings. Your painting of the river in Lord of the rings, it began moving and then. Here I am. Amanda...." She quieten down into a whisper as tears formed in her eyes.

" Ford of Bruinen..." Amanda whispered quietly looking down.

" Your dead." She whispered. Amanda just looked at her.

" I am not dead. I am right here." Amanda whispered to her friends.

" You disappeared, no one could find you... Not even a trace. They held your funeral with an empty coffin." The girl muttered, Amanda was shell shook but she hid It and smiled.

" Who is your friend?" A low grumble sounded behind him. Amanda turned her head to look a Thorin. She sighed rolling her eyes and standing up with her friend.

" Do not go all fan girl on me now." She warned her.

" Okay. Fiona, meet Thorin Oakenshield and Kili Durin. Boys, meet my friend. Fiona." Amanda introduced her. Fiona looked to her and then back to the dwarves standing in front of her.

" Thorin and Kili. The Thorin and the Kili?" Fiona asked her. Amanda nodded and smiled softly.

" Yes Fiona. You are in Middle Earth and we are on the quest." Amanda told her as Fiona's mouth dropped open.
