Natsu just about finished teaching Gray the basics. Roaring, Wing Attack, some long distance shooting, and other techniques. Good thing Gray was a strong wizard.

Again, never admitting.

Now that training's out of the way, Natsu was curious about one thing.

"Hey Ice-Princess?"

"Oh, great. I thought... well whatev-"

"Thought what?"

"Uh..."

Gray was now stuttering, thinking up of excuses but found himself cut short. Nothing came to mind.

"I thought we were becoming friends, ya know?" Gray actually thought they should be more than that, but he didn't want to tell Natsu. Yet

"Oh..."

"Um...you-"

"I need to ask you something, Gray," Natsu asked nonchalantly, when speaking his real name made Gray so happy.

"Yeah?"

"What was the whole "Who do you like" thing?"

Gray felt himself tense. He didn't expect Natsu to ask him about that, nor did he think Natsu bothered to remember it at all.

"Uh..."

"Let me guess, you were interested?"

Gray held up his index finger, in a sense that he was going to throw some retort back at Natsu, but nothing came out.

"Y-yeah," Gray admitted as he blushed.

Natsu was pondering. Maybe, he should tell Gray in unspecified details. Just to see his reaction. He thought carefully at the words he was going to present.

"I didn't think you'd be interested, but okay, I guess." Natsu paused as he could felt himself laughing in his mind, chuckling at his plan. "I do like this one person..."

Gray looks very curious, but also calm as he proceeded to lean in a little to urge Natsu to tell him. However, in his mind you could basically hear screaming of 'you'd better say it's me!' Or 'please don't be a girl...!'

Natsu was about to go into more unneeded information like "this person is nice", when they heard Lucy call them while walking down the steps of the park towards them.

"Hey, you two. Master has decided to let the strongest wizards go on a vacation," She paused and brought both her hands up to the two teens' faces, signalling for them to shut up so she will continue. "And I know you'll object but master wanted you to treat it as if it were a mission he sent you two on, okay?"

"Sure," Gray replied, secretly hoping this "mission" allowed him to be in the same room as Natsu.

"Alright!" Natsu yelled, fist-pumping as he grinned. "I'll go tell Ha-"

"Nope," Lucy stopped him immediately, much to Gray's happiness. "Happy wanted to go with Carla on a mission, to help Wendy defeat some enemies."

"Alright, I guess." Natsu replied. "When is it?"

"Tomorrow, at the guild. Ren from the Blue Pegasus group wanted to try out his new Air Magic. Transporting the entities from one air space to another." Lucy pointed out and looked at Natsu's confused face. "We're teleporting y'all there cause you can't deal with vehicles."

Natsu responded, scoffing, as he crossed his arms.

"Tomorrow at 9am, you forgetful idiot," Lucy reminded Natsu, while she dragged Gray back.

As Natsu walked away, Gray groaned.

"What is it?" He asked, obviously annoyed.

"You actually wanted to go on this trip with Natsu, right?"

"Wha-"

"Don't deny it! Erza, Mira and I all know."

Gray quietly muttered a 'shit' before blushing. He actually wanted to lie, but who can lie with such a red face.

"Yeah, so do you all know that I..."

"Wait, you like Natsu? I thought it's-"

Lucy immediately clamped her mouth shut with both her hands.

Gray stared in confusion as she saw Lucy giggling to herself, which sounds a little like a soft maniacal laughter to Gray.

"So, you organised this?"

Lucy immediately stopped her giggling, but smiled.

"Yep! So, you can go on a playdate with your boyfriend~" Lucy responded, smirking.

Gray proceeded to blush a million different shades of red and jokingly hit Lucy's arm.
