Loki stumbled into the throne room of Mirsy escorted by the royal guards. He looked up at Rashida, now the queen of all of Egypt. She scowled down at him.

"Loki Odinson."

She breathed. He wasn't exactly Please to see her either but he tried his best not to let it show.

"Rashida Ra if I may-"

"Bow."

She commanded. This only angered Loki, this was his phrase not hers.

"I beg your pardon."

"Bow before the Pharaoh."

She hissed once more, clawing her nails into the edge of her stone throne. Loki grumbled as he did so. On one knee he stood before the throne.

"Well in what a delicate light does this place you, prince of Asgard. What, prey tell, is your query?"

"I wish to convince you that I am not the murderer of your father."

Rashida rolled her eyes.

"Oh not this again."

"If you'll just listen to me I can-"

"Beg."

She commanded him, now glaring down at the prince as if he were nothing.

"What?"

He hissed in disgust.

"I said, beg, you foolish boy."

"You can't possibly command me to-"

"Can't I? I am a queen now, oh you should see me in a crown..."

"A queen would never.. Rashida this isn't.. this isn't you-"

"How would you know?!"

"I-"

"YOU MADE ME THIS!"

She suddenly roared with power. Loki feared that she would rush down from her throne and engulf him in an inferno of flames at that second. But instead she leaned back into her seat and gazed at him with a stare of fire.

"You made me this.."

She muttered in repeat of her thoughts. She glared down at Loki with a fire in her eyes. He now began to realize that this was no queen, no Pharaoh, sitting on this throne. No this was a scared, hopeless little girl trying to do things right without anyone to guide her or love her. He realized something about Rashida that maybe she herself hadn't yet realized, she was alone.

"My Queen, if I may, let me help you run you country."

Loki gently offered. Rashida's expression twisted into a spiteful one.

"What?! You murder my father, barge into my kingdom, and now you ask to run my country?! Blasphemy! The penalty for such crimes here is death.. are you aware of this?"

"I did not kill your father!"

Loki shouted, his voice echoing from the solid stone walls. Rashida's lips pursed into a thin smile. She stood up from her throne of stone and walked down towards him.

"Perhaps you did not, or perhaps you did, who am I to tell? I give you this,"

She was now directly in front of him. Her dark brown eyes met his light blue green eyes. A match.

"I will give you three days to prove yourself. When the sun sets on the third day if you fail, your blood will be the first Asgardian blood to be shed in the war of Misr and Asgard."

Loki scoffed at this.

"I am more then willing to die. It will take more then that to intimidate me, girl."

She searched his eyes and her expression darkened wickedly.

"So I see. Very well. Your blood will be the last spilt, the first will be that of your brother."

"Thor?!"

"Yes. The blonde one. It would be a Pity, really, for the almost king of both Misr and Asgard to be the first slain in a war caused by his own brother's foolishness."

"What if I succeed?"

Loki asked restlessly and tired of hearing about Rashida's bloody plans for war. She sighed and looked away from him.

"Should you succeed, the olive branch between our countries will be restored and I suppose I will have to marry either you or your brother."

Loki nodded at this. It seemed good enough to him and if need be he could bend the rules a little, he was a trickster after all.

"Is this fair to you, god of mischief? Is this fair to you, Laufeyson."

Loki pounced on her at the mention of this. He growled like a beast and tried to strike her but she pushed her staff between them.

"What did you say? You hag! How did you know that?!"

Loki spat. But Rashida did not answer him. She struggled for help and called for her guards. Two palace guards rushed in and pulled Loki off of her. Rashida's gown was almost torn to shreds by the man. She heaved and looked at him as if he were a wild beast.

"Put him in the prisons for a while. Let him think on what he has done."

Rashida hissed at him and he was escorted away from her. Far far away.  Three days, Loki. Tick tock tick.
