Chapter Thirteen

Y/n pov -Two days passed-

It was bright out, the jeweled leaves sparkling in the beautiful light. Different shaped and colored creatures bounded around, making small squeaks or purrs. Everything was calm, everything was perfect. "This is nice." I concluded in a soft voice. I was sitting under one of the bronze  trees, Brice was above me, relaxing on a branch. It seemed he was always on edge, and for once, he was just chillin. "Yeah, it is." He said finally, "I never really stop to think abut how..." He hesitated slightly, before continuing, "How beautiful it is here." I glanced at him with a smile, "Yeah, it really is." Suddenly, the sky seemed to rip open. Black spilling out across it, as if it was a bleeding wound. "What's happening!" I yelled, scrambling up. Brice only cursed, jumping down from the tree, and moving in front of me. "What's going on!?" I repeated, staring at the terrifying scene. Suddenly someone fell from the black mess, landing gracefully on their feet. Their cape fluttering down, Shades of black and orange swirling around. Brice tensed up, hissing softly. The newcomer stood, revealing who it was. It was no surprise that it was Brice, I wasn't shocked, I was expecting this. The tear in the sky seemed to seal itself up, the black splatters disappearing. He stood upright, glaring strait at me. He snarled, "I should have guessed you'd go here. And you," He hissed, turning to Brice, "How are you even alive!?" Brice shrugged, "You know, just casually refusing to die, you know, punching bunnies, punching those weird snake thing, punching the trees and breaking my hands, you know all of that stuff." Brice seethed, "You should be dead." The golden haired boy grinned, "But I'm not!" If Blaze was shocked in the slightest bit by this, he didn't show it. His eyes darkened, "I knew I should have killed you myself." The sorcerer took a threatening step forward, "I should kill you now." Brice held his chin high, "Go ahead, you'll be doing me a favor anyways." Blaze snarled again, preparing to, well, do just that. I, however, jumped in front of him, I held my arms open, blocking both of them from the other, "S-stop it!" Blaze hissed, "Move." "No!" I replied instantly, glaring up at him, "I'm not going anywhere!" Blaze, without a word, easily shoved me aside. I, being the smart girl I was, grabbed his arm, trying, and failing, to drag him down."Wait, wait! Hold on!" "You're playing a dangerous game, Y/n!" Blaze hissed, venom dripping from his voice. "Hear me out! Can't we like, make a deal or something?" He paused, glaring down at me. He was waiting, I realized. "I-if you bring Brice back to his home, I'll go with you." Blaze narrowed his eyes, 'You're going with me no matter what!" "But think about this!" I said quickly, "I wont struggle, I wont fight, I'll go willingly. And I wont try to escape in the future." Seconds passed. Seconds that felt like hours. "You don't have to do this." Brice murmured. I didn't say anything, holding the fire demons glare. Finally, he spoke, "You will do all of that, and, you will obey both of us, you will do whatever we ask." I didn't like the 'us' or 'we' parts, for we wasn't talking about Brice. Not that he would, of course. "Don't, you don't know what you're doing." Brice said in a tense manner. Again, I ignored him; I nodded slowly, agreeing. A small voice screamed in the back of my mind, telling this was a bad idea. Was I willing to give up my freewill, my life, to save someone? I glanced at Brice, he looked scared, scared for me. He's been trapped in this hell hole for eight years, he shouldn't even be alive. Than it hit me, he has a family. People who miss him, love him, and he loves them back, he misses them. And I have nothing. He deserves this. I decided, giving him a small smile. Blaze smirked, "Done." Suddenly, the area behind him seemed to rip apart, just as the entrance he made. Except, it looked like a mirror, or a window. A window to the real world. you could see the normal trees, the leaves moving in the wind, the green grass, the blue sky with fluffy clouds dotted around. Blaze didn't hesitate to shove both of us threw, stepping in himself. The breath, just as before, was sucked from my body, replaced by the ordinary, brisk hair of the normal world. I coughed a few times, trying to stand strait. Brice was shoved in a certain direction, "Your home's that way." Blaze hissed,  pulling me in the opposite direction. Hesitantly, he glanced that way, before running away. After a few seconds, Blaze turned his hard, cold gaze onto me. I flinched, taking a small step back. "I didn't think you'd be stupid enough to go through an unknown portal. I don't know whether you're brave, or just an idiot. But I'll admit it, that was a smart thing to do. But don't do it in the future, you wont have anyone to save you." I was fighting back tears by the end of it, shaking slightly. I tried to speak, Why are you telling me this? Why are you being nice? Even in the slightest bit? But nothing came out, so I stayed silent. He sighed softly after a moment, "Look, you're going strait to Ice after this, expect...well, expect hell." The wind shook, the air became colder, and a newcomer was present.
