Chapter Sixteen

Y/n pov

Ice slowly walked down the steps, again, he didn't speak. No one moved, no one made a noise, no one dared to even breath. The monster surveyed the cells, finally speaking in a monotone voice, "Who started it." It sounded like a command, instead of a question. Almost everyone, everyone who could, pointed at the one who, in fact, started it. He looked terrified, his body pressed against the wall, he was shaking. Instantly, the man started shouting out excuses, apologies, and incoherent words. Just as the girl did. Calmly, Ice walked over, and opened his cell. He, however, paused at the entrance, glancing around, he spoke again, "This place smells, the cells need to be cleaned. As if by magic, cleaning supplies appeared beside the cowering boy, "Ge to it." Instantly, he did, grabbing the objects and instantly starting. He turned around and walked away after that. Suddenly, he stopped, looking back at the cells, "Oh, and, because of thus little...event, no one will be getting anything to eat." As before, no one mad a sound, I expected a group of protests, yet it was silent. The monster seemed to strike fear into everyone and anyone. Ice turned, and left. I watched as the man who started the mini riot cleaned up putrid pierces of intestines, flesh, and who knows what else. I looked away, looking at Alex instead. "Was he telling the truth?" I murmured. He nodded slowly, "Yup." I could only whisper a small, "Why?" He looked down, taking a small breath, "I came in here with my brother...I seen what he's capable of, I...I don't want to...I-I don't want end up like...like.." he trailed off. "I don't blame you." I mumbled, near the wall -but not touching it-, a little over a foot away from him, "I would probably do the same, honestly." He smiled slightly, "Thanks, I don't feel so alone." I glanced over my shoulder, at the man, boy, whatever. Alex looked too, "Huh, this isn't like him, he must be feeling a bit lazy." He was trying to lighten the mood, however, it seemed to make it worse. He apologized. Neither of us, no one, spoke after that.

The next day, when i woke up after a sleepless night, the man was gone, the girl never came back, bodies were gone, and more victims were chosen. Through all of this, into the next day, and the next, I was ignored. Four days I was ignored. Three days to go. I, however, realized that I wouldn't be ignored for ever. Even though I knew the truth, I prayed that I'd be forgotten. Sometimes, he'd stop in front of my shared cell, but, instead of me, Alex would go. He always came back in perfect condition. As perfect as possible in this hell hole.
The screeching of the iron door echoed through the cells, people held their breath, pressing themselves to the wall. I did the same, lucky catching on that this was the best way to survive. (Alex taught me this with a chilling story where a person dared to stand up for himself.) Ice, walking in a stiff way, went strait to the share cell, and his eyes landed on me. He opened the door, "Get up." was all he said. I hesitated, my breath catching in my throat. Slowly, I got up, shuddering. He stood there, waiting. "Listen to him." Alex murmured, staring at the ground. I did, stepping forwards wearily. He growled, making me move quicker, out of the cell. He shut it violently, shoving me forward, towards the stairs. this is it, I thought, This is how it'll end. I was shoved up the stairs. I don't want to die. Into the room, I don't want to see mommy, not yet. I paused, my own thoughts surprising me. It was interrupted as I was, yet again, shoved, towards a door. The door out. I hesitated again, the door swung open on it's own. I was lead (aka forcefully dragged) through his home. It was oddly...blank. It matched his complexion perfectly. Suddenly, I was veered to the left, into another room. It looked normal enough. White walls, pale wooden floors, a white table, white closet doors, white bed, with a blue blanket, so pale, it was white. There was a click behind me. I turned around in confusion. "Wh-what are you doing?" I whispered. He grinned, the same...damn grin. When he spoke, his voice wavered, "I know what happened. I know what you and Blaze did."
"I-I couldn't st-stop that!" I protested. He shrugged, "Doesn't matter." I stepped back, "I d-don't even remember anything!" His grin grew, "Oh, don't worry...you'll remember this time."

(From now on, anything in bold is an Authors Note. So when something is in parenthesis, it's a separate thought ((Like in an actual book XD)) I didn't like how I used the dashes. So a (Blah blah blah) Is actual thought, and a (Blah blah blah) is an A/N. This book will hopefully be done soon, but it'll have a few more chapters! Also, sorry for not having lemons/smuts in this book, for the people who like those, It takes a long time to make those, and they're just so cringy.)
