Fire Revealing

First day of school, I was super nervous. I don't usually get that way about this kind of thing, but I knew absolutely no one here.

I guess it was a good thing I was starting out at the beginning of the school year instead of in the middle. I find it to be a very awkward situation when you walk into a classroom full of people you don't know while they are in the middle of a lesson, then all eyes are on you.

My first few classes were pretty smooth sailing everyone seemed to keep to themselves. I guess I didn't have anything to worry about. Well, at least that's what I thought up until lunch time came.

I got my trey and it felt like everyone was staring at me, the tingling in my arms and hands came back and I dropped my trey.

Now everyone really was staring at me if they weren't before. I fell to the floor in extreme pain letting out a deep groan. My vision started to blur and a crowd began to form a circle around me.

Some how over all the screaming from teachers and students I could here a lunch lady's conversation with the police dispatcher on the phone all the way on the other side of the cafeteria.

"We need an ambulance and the fire department quick in the West Monroe High School cafeteria."

As  soon as she hung up the phone I heard that loud ringing sound again. Right then I knew I was having another episode.

My whole body went numb and I couldn't feel anything, and I thought I seen flames, was I on fire? Since I couldn't hear anything anymore and I'm no good at reading lips, I couldn't tell what everyone was saying. My vision slowly went black as I passed out yet again.

I woke up thinking this had to be the most horrible nightmare of my life. I opened my eyes and studied my surroundings for a moment and realized it was not a dream, it was all very real, I was in the hospital again.

My parents walked in the room with tears streaming down their faces, all they could say was,

"We were so scared, we thought you were dead, are you okay? Do you need anything? How are you feeling?"

I assured them I was fine, but I couldn't help feeling like I was lying to them. I was not okay.
