Ant's pov, the day Maddy came aboard, just after his last pov. So basically, this is a continuation from his last pov in Chapter Mad Madeline?! So yea, Ant's pov:

After depositing Maddy in the first aid room, I headed back towards mine. It had taken a little while, but as I walked back to my room I saw Finn and Fontaine sleeping in their room. Bella and Evie were in there too, I'll admit it was totally adorable. But I didn't stay focused on them for long. Instead my thoughts drifted back to Maddy. Lemme ask you something. If you haven't seen someone who you could figure out if you hated or liked in almost 8 years, how would you react?

My reaction was to freak out. But I wasn't sure if I felt the same about Maddy like I used to. I mean, you should see her! She doesn't look like a dirty old pirate anymore, even though she has been tortured by hammerhead. Oh what I'd like to do to him! How could he be such a dick?! He is a total scumbag. I should break his fat ass neck and throw him into the ocean with no oxygen!

I finally walked around the corner and walked into my room, glancing at Jeffery who was swimming around and trying to get my attention.

"What's wrong Jeffrey? Is your water dirty? I'll change it little guy, sorry I got distracted by Maddy." I sighed picking up the tank. Yea, I know you're thinking I'm stupid because a grown man is talking to a fish but he's worth it!

Jeffrey shook his head and gave me the "you're whipped face" with bubbles coming out of his nose.

"Don't talk to me like that Mr! It's not my fault! This is all Fontaine's fault! I can't help seeing a pretty girl and reacting!" I glared at him. He rolled his eyes and then grinned. Then he swam into his little castle and I flopped on my bed, a million thoughts in my head.

I had no idea why but it felt like I might have some kind of feelings for Maddy. She was supposed to be my enemy! Suddenly I heard Nereus's voice in my head "well, maybe a pirate is only a pirate if he wants to be". Damn Nereus! Why you gotta be right all the time?! Now I understood exactly what he meant. Maddy was a pirate for a while, and she wanted to be. But she technically wasn't a pirate anymore. Because she didn't want to be anymore, she realised why her dad was bad.

This is great! The whole reason I didn't like Maddy was because she was a pirate! Now she isn't anymore, I can like her! Wow I really sound childish right now.

I decide to watch another kaiju movie, but letting Maddy distract me wasn't exactly part of the plan........

Maddy's pov:

Wow, so much has changed in the last few years. And Ant is one of them! If I could show you guys the abs he has now! He's so cute!

Ok ok, slow down me. You're getting way ahead of yourself. You don't deserve him! He's right, and he's been right all along. Your dad is a pirate, and for a while you wanted to be and were one, infact I was a pirate most of my life. Just because dad decided to start beating me doesn't mean I can just be worthy of someone like him.

My train of thought broke when I needed to sit up, and my ribs started aching in protest. I wasn't completely healed yet, and even the shields I made weren't exactly helping. Grimacing, I noticed how much Ant had helped before by carrying me. The memory brought a blush to my face. After all, being carried by a guy you sorta like and then being mocked by his family? Very embarrassing.

I guess I couldn't be upset though. Finn and Fontaine protected me when I was weak and injured in their sub, and that possibly saved my life. I could endure a little teasing, right?

Eventually I go up and went for a very slow walk. I saw Finn asleep with his family in their bed, and I tried to laugh, but it came out in a pained grimace So I just smiled. It was really cute! Not far down, I saw ant's room, and heard that new kaiju daiju movie playing. I haven't seen it yet! I decided to walk in and ask Ant if I could watch with him. I knocked on the side of the wall and the automatic door opened and Ant frowned until he saw me, a happy grin on his face.

"Hey Madeline! What's up?" Ant asked. I grinned. "Noticed you were watching the new kaiju movie. Any good?" I asked blushing.

He nodded. "Yea, they finally did a reveal! Wanna watch with me?" He asked Patting the bed beside him.

I grinned and nodded, the sat down beside him. He wrapped the blanket around me and him and then we kept watching his movie. It was probably awesome but I wasn't paying much attention. I was too distracted because he was next to me, and his adorable dimpled smile lit up the room, totally distracting me from the movie.

Time skip! The next day, just after Nereus brings them in to the castle.

Ant's pov:

Omg omg omg! We finally arrived in lemuria! I swam out and opened the gates to lemuria, almost bursting with excitement. I mean it's not every day you return to the place where you are actually royalty!

Maddy looked super nervous when we got in, and I really wanted to hold her hand but it's hard to tell wether her falling asleep on me is a sign she likes me back?

Nereus gave a big, long, boring ass speech on lemuria shit, and I lost interest, sorta looking at Maddy and sorta looking at every beautiful thing I saw. (Which includes Maddy)

Then Nereus said me and Maddy would rule if Finn and Fontaine didn't want it. When I asked why he said  "Because you are in love too. So it would be fitting." Making me and Maddy go red. Honestly does he even have a filter? There's a line Nereus and you. Just. Crossed. It. Why is everyone out to embarrass me?!

I glanced at my dad who seriously looked liked he would die from laughter and rolled my eyes, it's not that funny dad.

Nereus did all the explanation about the kingdom, I get to be a prince and so does Maddy! Then we were ushered off to our change rooms, I'm pretty sure last time I told you a bit about it? Well I do want you to ignore most of that except for when I escorted Maddy. In my little change room I was pacing back and forth, trying to decide what I'd do. How on earth does one decide these things??? I knew I liked Maddy. I knew people could change. I should just give her a chance right? Yea that's what I'll do!

So I wandered over towards the toilets and went, them I came back and heard Maddy conversing with Finn. I was so happy! She said she likes me back! But she also said she thought it'd be hard because of our past. Fear not! I'll make her not worry!

When the time came free that stupid showing I offered my arm to her and walked her over. It felt really, well...... Perfect! Like we were supposed to be walking together in that moment. Yes I know sappy but fuck you haters!

Maddy giggled and went really red Infront of my family which was too cute for words, and then when I had to walk away......... I kissed her cheek! I actually kissed it. Score for me! I'm awesome.

Maddy's pov:

I thought it was sweet that ant obviously liked me back, but I don't think I'm right for him. I mean, if he saw all the cuts, bruises and scars I had on me, plus the fact that gee I dunno, I was a pirate? He would definitely pick some pretty lemurian girl. I really didn't deserve him. Like at all!

But when he kissed my cheek and then ran off, I felt a little better. Whaaaaaaat? A girl can dream! I wandered off to my room an flopped on my bed, tears threatening to fall. Don't ask why, I guess this feeling of helplessness and lack of self worth makes you want to cry.

I then peeled the locket I was wearing off my neck and opened it. A picture of mom showed and I smiled sadly. I didn't remember her much. This picture I put into the locket from my dad at my 12th birthday so that I'd always have it with me.

I didn't really know what to do! So I decided to go for a walk around the castle and explore. My lessons were later, but right now I had nothing to do, and it had been about an hour since the first lessons started. I walked through the corridor and snacked straight into the boys coming out of their lesson....... More specifically Ant. He smiled down at me and offered me his hand, and helped me up. His dad and the boys walked off and I decided to try and walk away, but it really didn't work.

"Wait, Maddy! I wanted to ask you something...... Would you go on a date with me?" Ant asked going bright red.

I felt little tears coming to my eyes. I didn't deserve this boy.

"I'm sorry Ant. I don't think I deserve that. Go ask some nice lemurian girl, in sure she'd love you. But I'm just not good enough for you Ant." I replied running off.

I heard heavy footsteps behind me, Ant was chasing me down. I quickly slid into my room and locked the door, then sat there crying my eyes out.

Eventually I decided that since Ant had stopped bashing on my door it was safe to go to sleep. I layed down on my bed and snuggled into the blankets. Hopefully it'll be enough to get my mind off Ant hey?

"Madeline! Get in here you little bitch!" I heard my dad yell. One of the other pirates looked scared and I patted his shoulder before running into the main control room, only to be flung straight into a wall.

I groaned in pain and dad just laughed, throwing a few punches at my ribs, and when I heard the sickening crack of a few ribs he finally stopped and shooed me away.

I limped to my bedroom and found dad running back towards me. I cringed as his body connected with mine and he threw me against my bunk bed.

"You though it would be that easy? We have to teach your brother his lesson. Come with me, we're going down there." He pointed at the small hatch filled with the tools he used to punish crew mates if they were disloyal.

"NO! DAD! Please no!" I screamed trying to get free. He completely ignored me and continued dragging me down there, Inspite of my cries for him to stop..............

Ant's pov:

I was heartbroken that Maddy said no. All because she though she wasn't deserving of going on a date with me? She's ten times more beautiful than any other girl I've seen! She doesn't even try and she's amazing. I don't even care that she was a pirate. When her dad started abusing her, she lost any ideas that she might have even been a pirate.

But I didn't want to push her just yet. So I slowly walked back to my room (which was only 3 doors down) and layed on my bed sleeping. About 3 hours later, I heard loud screaming. I already knew who it was, it was Maddy! I quickly got dressed and ran back to her room, busting open the door. I saw Maddy on the bed screaming, she looked like she was having a bad dream.

I ran over and pulled her up, hugging her to my chest and calming her down. She slowly woke up, and looked at me, and went bright red. Like even redder than a tomato!

"I'm so sorry for waking you Ant." Maddy apologized. I just grinned and kissed her forehead, hoping she was feeling a bit better. It really was a weird sight. I mean, what would you think if you saw a fully dressed prince sighting on a bed with messy hair, hugging a girl to his chest wrapped in her blanket and still crying?

"Do not be sorry Maddy. I came because I care about you ok?" I smiled. She looked away and her breathing started to calm down a bit. "Maddy why did you say you didn't deserve to go on a date with me?" I asked, holding onto her so she couldn't break away.

She sighed and looked at me. "Ant I've been a pirate my while life. You hated me when we were kids and I understand why. Besides, if you had seen all the scars and marks on my body from dad you definitely wouldn't want me of all people."

Instead of answering her I decided to pull of her shirt. No I'm not a perv you guys! I just wanted to see which scars she meant. I looked at her tummy and back but none of the little scars she had even slightly bothered me.

"Maddy, if I didn't want you scars and all I'd never have asked you on a date. So don't downgrade yourself just because you think your scars are ugly." I said gently.

Maddy blushed. "But why me?" She asked.

"Well, for one thing, you're the most beautiful girl I've ever layed eyes on. For another, you're strong no matter how bad your dad treats you, and finally I can't help falling in love with you." I replied with a cheesy grin.

Maddy blushed again and snuggled into my chest. "Soooooo will you come on that date with me?" I asked nervously.

Maddy nodded. "Yes I would love to Ant." She smiled back.

I quickly kissed her and then she slowly fell asleep on me, which lead me to slowly falling asleep. I was really happy that she said yes! So I fell asleep protecting her from nightmares in her bed.......

The next morning, Ant's pov continued:

I woke up to Maddy gently snoring and smiled, she is the cutest thing ever when she's sleeping! I pried myself away to go prepare for our date but Mady wouldn't let go, and I decided to stay a little longer. Finally once I escape I crashed into dad and Finn who seemed deep in conversation. Probably planning now Finn wants to propose to Fontaine.

"Ant! I was looking for you, you weren't in your room?" Dad smiled at me. Finn smirked and said nothing but something told me he knew where I had been, or at least suspected it.

"Ah, sorry dad I fell asleep in the um..... The uh, on the beach bank behind the castle! Yea, I took Jeffery for a swim and fell asleep." I lied quickly, definitely not my smoothest.

"Oh ok son. Well, we're gonna keep planning for the you know what, it's funny cuz your mom and Fontaine have absolutely no clue. Well, maybe Kaiko suspects it but she doesn't know what we're doing yet." Dad grinned with Finn nodding along.

Phew! Noone caught my bluff! "Okay cool! You go plan imma uh have a shower and then do stuff.........." I smiled Running off.

Time to plan for my date!

Maddy's pov: time skip, I'm lazy, can't be fucked writing what they get up to on their date 😉😉😉😉

Wow, I can't believe Ant would still want me even though I'm so..... Well not that good! It made me really happy, and he was my dream catcher I didn't have one bad dream at all.

So I guess I'll give us a chance. It's not like anything bad could happen, and I trust him. After our date, Ant kissed me again and this time I kissed back.

"Hey Maddy? You there?" Ant called snapping me out of my daze.

"Oh yea, sorry Ant. What's wrong?" I blushed guilty.

"Nothing is wrong. I was just going to ask you, if um..... You'd be my girlfriend?" Ant asked holding a beautiful necklace out to me. "I love you, and I really want to be your boyfriend if you'd let me." Ant smiled.

I flung my arms around his neck. "Absolutely, I would love that Ant." I grinned kissing his cheek.

He spun me around and then planted me down and clipped the necklace around my neck. "Nereus found it. He said it has an ancient incantation on it, a spell that Queen Dores made. Apparently it can open up portals and take you to me from wherever you are. Plus it's really beautiful and rare, it's made of some super rare lemurian crystal and gold."

"Thank you Ant I love it." I grinned.

"Anything for my girlfriend! Now let's go and explore that old treasure room behind the throne room hey? I wanted to get the twins something each." Ant smiled offering me his hand.
I grabbed it and when I did I felt a little tingle. Ant pulled away from a second and his hands lit up with a sun like light, coming from his hands.

"Wow Ant! You got your powers!" I laughed. Ant just grinned and looked dumbfounded, and I dragged him over to the library and found a book on lemuria powers history.

"Wow babe, look at this! Queen Dores little brother, Prince Aiden has your powers. He used them to give light when necessary and he also used it for curing things. With enough practice he able to make sure he could use his powers any way he wanted to protect his people." I said surprised.

At this point Nereus walked in. "Ah yes, my uncle prince Aiden was incredible. His powers protected his father when assassin's tried to kill him. Obviously, your powers have been triggered by recent developments hmm?" Nereus winked and then walked off.

Ant laughed. "I've given up wondering how he knows all of this shit. But he's so mysterious! I really wanna grow a beard when I'm a little older so I can be as cool as him!"

"Not happening Ant. I'm not having your beard touch me! You'll look so creepy." I replied rolling my eyes.

"Aw man! Killjoy. Welp let's go back to our original plan of looking in that old room." Ant smiled and grabbed my hand again. We walked over and went exploring, Asif we were 12 again, an boy I've never been so happy!
