Fact #2
Finnian wrote letters to John every day after his death. He wrote about how his day had been and how he hoped John would come home. Heres an example:
My Dearest John Laurens,
I hope that you recieve this letter at a positive moment in your eternal happiness. My night was once again restless without you to comfort me throughout my little amount of sleep. Do not worry, my love, I am doing well. I wish to see you again John. I have missed you greatly in your absence. The house is now deafly silent without your laughter. It has gone colder than the bitter winter without your warm smile. Please come home, my darling. I have a new piece to show you and your coffee is getting cold. I hope to see you again.
I will always be waiting for you,
Finnian Walsh
